I have one of these on my bike and I do agree that this rear light is really good. Thanks for filming the brake light feature, as it is hard to check visually if it does do what it promises to do. But there you go: a well designed and well manufactured tail light that you won’t regret you bought. Thank you for the video.
I got one and it is impressive. I paid around $19 on AliExpress. The thing I like the most is that it shuts off and turns on automatically. I would have ran the battery down because I would have forgot to turn it off if not for this feature. It comes with both a seat and a rack mount. The closest thing I could find on Amazon was close to $40. Thanks for your great video.
It's nice that it has a side charging port. You don't have to remove the light to charge it. Some lights I've seen have the charge port on the back which requires you remove the light.
I've used it for 5 months and I love it. I'll always drive on the low-steady setting and only at night. Blinking bike-lights aren't allowed on public streets in Germany, as they can disturb others at night. If there is one thing I'd criticize , it's the proprietary USB-C, which means that not all USB-C cables work with the light. Otherwise, fantastic product - there is nothing comparable in my country for about 20€. The best bet would be the "Sigma", which has a much lower on-time and a much worse connector.
You can do a motion stop test. "Push the bike forward, and pull it back abruptly to activate the light movement sensors, so you know it works." Or, get someone to ride behind you, who can let you know if the light is functioning correctly.
I bought this light based on this review because I really like the auto-brake function.... unfortunately it doesnt work at all. If i move the light in my hand and stop it suddently, it works fine... but on the bike, even if i slam on the brakes (bike has strong hydraulic brakes) it never works. Seems to me the brake sensor needs such a sudden stop that the hand motion replicates fine but the bike stops too "slowly" for the sensor to kick in. Otherwise, it's a nice light for sure.
I've just bought one of these, thanks to your review. Just wondering whether leaving it turned on always, so that it goes in and out of sleep mode as the need arises impacts the battery run time by much?
I ordered one from Aliexpress. Usually when I forget that I ordered something from China, that is when it shows up. Hopefully it lasts a little bit and is somewhat decent. For the price, I'll give it a go. For me, I can't find many options for lights that will mount to back of a bike rack. How's yours holding up?
The brake light is working perfectly so far, and the battery life is quite amazing. It's easy to fit, and stays put nicely with the added bonus of being quickly removable, without the need for tools if you want to charge it. Aliexpress is a funny place, sometimes what you order arrives fast, and sometimes slow. I ordered a product recently that didn't arrive in the specified time, and I got a full refund, so I can't complain about their customer protection policy.
Good Day. I have been a loyal Gaciron buyer. I have bought 9 models so far. I only have 1 problem. My most expensive V20D-1700 is malfunctioning/no longer working properly. I am in the Philippines. I have talked to almost every seller and they said there are no service centers for repair. One shop told me they do not repair items that are not from them despite me showing a receipt and actual box. Gaciron should have a repair center for your beautiful lights or atleast provide us manuals on how to open it and do it ourselves. Such a waste of money if I would have to trash this. Thank you.
Have you tried to get in contact with Gaciron directly? Their official store can be found on AliExpress, goto that "GaCIROn Official Store", and click on the Contact Now button "it's in a Pull Down Menu", and see if they can help you find someone locally that can repair the light for you.
I personally wouldn't worry too much. The tail lights primary function is to let other road users know your there. So if it's going bright every so often, it will attract the attention of other road users, so in effect, you're being seen more redilly.

A simple test is to have the light on your bike turned on but not illuminated, walk your bike forward, then hit the brakes (or pull it backwards), the brake light should come on, and after a set amount of time it will turn itself off again.
@@GarryPurcell yes I did... I returned it at my local bike shop where I bought it and will send me a replacement once it is deemed as a product defect. Hopefully it will be replaced ASAP.

I bought this light because of this video. Thank for your review
After it arrives, please drop back an let me know what you think of it.
I bought this light a few months ago because of this video. I really like it and I've even gotten compliments on it from other cyclists. 😅
It's an eye turner for sure, and I'm glad I helped you ride safer. 🚲

It's a good light for the price thats for sure.
Thanks for the review, it's difficult to know what lights are really like just from online shop pictures, so your video is really appreciated, thanks!
I'm very happy with the one I bought so far, it still works as expected.
@@GarryPurcell Thanks, I've actually ordered one from China. It should beef up my lighting situation nicely.
@@andrewwigglesworth3030 I'm sure you will be very happy with the lights performance.

Its very easy to remove from the bracket.

I have one of these lights, but don't know how well the brake light function works since I can't see it while I'm riding.

@@GarryPurcell I tried that, but it's awkward and didn't activate the stop light.

The light should be more responsive than you describe, perhaps you got a Dud, return it, and ask for a replacement.

The battery lasts for months using sleep mode.
Hello, apparently from the video the flashlight also activates the braking mode with vibrations. Is that right?
Thats correct.
@@GarryPurcell ok. Thanks.

Has anyone tried to open it up and disable the sensor? I'm not a huge fan of it and would prefer to have constant blinking.
In bad roads it turns on the break light even if you don't brake, and it's annoying. I'm tempted to open it and remove the break light circuit.
That ca be annoying.
You can simply turn off the light if it really bothers you.
