I agree with you completely on maintaining. Everytime I remove all running or lifting, I have to start from 0 and slowly build it back up. That is always discouraging

Without a doubt my worse excercises are ab workouts. I've gotten better at them since I've been doing them more, but it's still my weak point.

I actually have been wearing steel toe boots almost regularly for maybe a year and half now. Before I used to get tired easy walking with them, but I've gotten used to them. An I noticed when wearing regular tennis shoes that they're way more lighter obviously and easier to walk in. Not gonna lie I've even ran alongside the railroad tracks with my steel toes just to see what it was like. I do still get blisters sometimes though after wearing them for 2 hours or more, constantly walking or running.

I've been using your solstice periodization method but I was wondering, what is the shortest amount of time you could fit the entire cycle into without overtraining?

Mr. Smith I’m currently in the Marine Corps and have ran many times in boots on the concrete and I feel as if my knees have just gotten worse over the years, do you think this is due to running technique? and can I reverse the pain. Running in normal shoes I’m totally fine but the second we run with boots again my knees hurt

What training can an athlete swap swimming for? I live in an area with no natural lakes or rivers. That being said I don’t have access to a pool.

I believe stew has a few articles on this, I think he says generally speaking just replace it with non impact stuff if you can
