Bro no fucking way in hell… I just discovered your channel last night and in this video you’re detailing this 2006 Hummer. I sold this car to the customer!! And the wheels and wheel Cover on the rear are the giveaway. That’s so wild
Other than getting the hose connector turned around (watch out for that one), the machine is simple to put together and use ruclips.net/user/postUgkxfQauTxLT0JLSvqkq10rD79TU4k0Vz8zP . And very nice, too. I'm surprised at the power-it's more than we'll ever need, and we've not even used the most powerful setting yet.I've cleaned off a dirty concrete porch to get it ready for sealing, started to clean siding, and I know this pressure washer will be terrific for cleaning tools this fall. The only issue we had is we had turned around the hose connector, and it leaked. Once it was on correctly, though, we had no problems with the connection. Just remember that the end with the green knob goes towards the hose. It's obvious now what we did wrong, but not necessarily obvious at the time.
The Hummer needs a “paint correction” to get those specks out. Clay bar only decontaminates the paint. Next step would be some compound & polish. The compound will get the specks out and polish will make it gloss again. Way to take an “L” and keep your head up 💪🏽. Paint corrections can cost $$$$. Next time let them know that clay bar only decontaminations the paint as prep for a polish or paint correction.
Dude was an auto body repair shop. HE KNEW. he said clay and wax bc it was the cheapest and excepted Wayne to get it out for the same price. Can’t stand customers like that, they intentionally hide things about the condition, dog hair, paint etc

Make sure to inspect the vehicle when you arrive if there’s bad areas do a test spot ..make sure you have different grit clay bars and just lube 3 x 2 area to see if you can get it to release if it does then let customer know it’s going to be more $ and may need a one step polish and a wax or sealant after . Keep it up Bro ! Love Reyes and is questioning!
It's dying cuz the 12v water pump hooked to the water tank is running the battery down when he is parked and not idling his engine to keep things charged. He needs a separate 12v car battery hooked to the pump with a smaller solar panel charger to keep it charged

Heavy clay is needed to remove some over spray situations like that. But the heavy clay for sure will mar that soft GM black paint, so a polish is all but unavoidable
This can be easier said than done, a lot of times you can't tell what condition the paint is in before you wash it. But he could ask the customer "What makes you think you need a clay bar treatment?"
If you have a professional eye and experience this could have and would have been avoided. Walk over the vehicle with customer and use ONR on anything suspicious and point it out to them.. When the car is clean things show up the customer never new, a pro sees these things before washing...

Yes you need a heavy grade clay bar to remove the overspray. You will more than likely will need to do a one step polish to remove marring especially on black paint.
Great job, positive attitude along with awesome customer service. This is business and it happens sometimes, but keep pushing. We seem to have similar ways.
That hummer is old as fuck, after it was washed you can clearly see that it really isn't maintained properly. A way I alleviate this issue, is I always ask for the year make and model of the vehicle and last time it received a full detail. After that I quote them a range of what the price can be but I won't know for sure until I inspect the vehicle in person. That hummer obviously needs a new paintjob or pay high ticket for a full paint correction with sealant. I never start working on a vehicle until the customer is given all the information as to what may have to be done on their vehicle and what it may cost them. Cheers :)

Try an agressive claybar. I’ve removed over spray similar using a very heavy clay bar. Those clay pads u used I love too but they won’t pull up deep contamination like overspray. They do great for ease of use and for regular Decon. But I’d try a aggressive clay bar like like meguiars mirror glaze agressive clay bar
Make sure you use a iron remover before claying or else you'll swirl it up badly, and also make sure to examine and properly communicate expectations before the job.
@@LaRoseDetails only a novice would say such a thing. If he knows what's he's doing why didn't he sand down the over spray and then correct the paint? He was holding the machine wrong it wasn't even moving but yeah sure buddy.
in the body shop we always start with lacquer thinner on overspray, if its not ours and is old sometimes you have to polish. SHOULDN'T have to wet sand RUPES makes some awesome one step pads and polishes. I have their whole set up its amazing for paint corrections
hey man I’m start to follow u couple day ago in this situation I a process that a body shop work they sand with water all the clear coat of the paint the do three step of polish a step one compound step 2 medium polished step three high gloss finished
You can sometimes get overspray off with clay but it is extremely time consuming and take a lot of elbow grease. Compound and polish would be the way to go but if it’s really bad then you may need to wet sand it with fine grits sandpaper. At that point I wouldn’t even deal with it though.
@huntersmobiledetailing I was working on a black corvette that had really really bad orange paint overspray. It was so bad the car had an orange tint. I used a real clay bar (not a mitt or anything like that) and it took some elbow grease. But, it came off. Did it in about 2ish hours.
Im subscribing because ur real! I only have one thing of advice that is my biggest pet peeve!!! I see he asked you like the mits brush etc... i would NEVERRRRRRR let anyone use a brush on my truck! Only microfiber products like the mits you chose 👍 dont use those brushes! Yes they "softer" but no they arent.. they still leave small swirl marks and thats why im so picky with my detailer choice. My truck is 80k... least i want is a detailer scratchin it with the bristles.... u chose mits but dont let someone choose different! Great job though bro wish u success! P.s the word you were looking for to explain with the clay bar is contaminates💯
lacquer thinner, be careful. Don’t leave too long. It’s a tedious job and time consuming. So be ready to charge. Have water by your side at all times to dilute it after removing it. Must wash again afterwards. Good luck.
@@ljguy300 lacquer thinner is what I would use. Wet sanding is a good approach too. I’d just hate to charge for a polish job afterwards. Not only will I remove the overspray with lacquer thinner but don’t have to polish much afterwards (Maybe).

Im Really liking how stoked this camera guy is for you and youre success by gritting you're teeth and persevering. It appears you maybe started off with the baisics and worked youre way up which is very admirable. Im really happy for you bro, you're positivety is contagious. As for the spots maybe look for a compound and polish with hi lubricating properties but bcarefull as the panel with spots has lip which will cut into the clear coat more when polishing. I think the spots maybe air bubbles trapped in the clear coat when it was applied by the factory. if so its already been compounded and polished and doing so again wont remove them. Their are paint depth guages that can tell you how much clear coat you have to work with before you hit the colour paint but theyre expensive. But would be really handy for you if were to offer a cut and polish service which will remove most of the swirling on most cars given theirs a safe layer of clearcoat already on the car to work with. Griots complete compound is quite good
Great video man! Love your content it’s helpful for me being I’m about to start up my own detailing and pressure washing company as well. Keep it up man
I usually use paint thinner & spot buff or just wax the area afterwards at the dealership unless its primer overspray . If its primer or something else that's self etching I will wet sand 2,000 & work up to 8,000 grit & high speed buff afterwards..... anyways , you do awesome work !
You can either use reducer,or 3 step compound, polish and hand wax to get over spray off of vehicle, the reducer method you will still have to polish paint do to paint marring because the over spray will tend to leave track marks..I tend to get over sprayed vehicle's a lot in my town..but to be honest Brother, you came there to do a clay bar and wax and wasn't expecting to have to remove over spray, you was not told that there was over spray on the vehicle.. I would have told him that would cost more to remove the over spray on a later date!! But today I am going to charge for this clay bar and wax..you definitely know your stuff Bro, before doing a clay and wax,use some waterless wash on a few panels to see the condition of the paint before washing entire vehicle,so if you see over spray on vehicle you can bring it to customers attention and let them know the job will cost a lot more!! Keep grinding Fam!! Your work speaks for itself!!💪🏿💯
Watched 1 video and now I’m on number 7 keep up the good work. Keep that positive mind set and stay true to you hope you get more blessings going your way much love
Laquer thinner. Just do not get it on plastics. Test it on small area, do not let it sit or soak. Put it on a lint free towel and wipe. We use it all the time in the Body Shop. Good work.
I ran over a paint line years ago, used orange/citrus type of grease cleaner, with a little effort it came right off. Didn’t notice any damage to the paint.
Hey so what I have used to get paint off is acetone. Use with a rag but follow after with a chamois. Don't let it sit on the paint or it can do damage.
Try a two stage paint correction. Use a compound with a good solvent. Use a foam pad with lots of product and ‘mow’ down the heavy areas first. Then blow out the pad and repeat. Blow out pad regularly (every few passes). Then move to a polish and lastly, a wax/sealant. If possible bring indoors. With black paint, compounding or polishing in the sun will mar the finish and likely introduce contaminates in the air the will leave swirls in the paint
Had that done before. Not sure what it's called. But got some liquid like thinner from a body shop that helps with overspray. Works great but you gotta polish the car after cause it leaves the paint a bit dull
I just started offering buffing/waxing to my menu. This is one of the things i fear. Also i clayed a car and scratched the shit out of it but then i fixed it. Live and learn. Shot out from Orange county :)
Your attitude is great man! I get frustrated too easily and self savotage if i make mistakes, but im creating habits that mistakes are lessons and its ok to make mistakes and MOST customers will be ok of youre honest and professional
I use paint thinner bro or a clay bar would do the job but that would take longer then the paint thinner. I would use paint thinner and then polish it because the paint looks all oxides from the sun. I would of charge him extra on top of that too because that’s not what you guys discussed over the phone
@@HuntersMobileDetailing I wouldn’t recommend doing it on plastic trim tho just paint . Also try goo gone but in a spray can not a spray bottle let it sit for a few mins and try to rub it off I get the can at Costco or homedepot . I would try that first before the paint thinner .if that doesn’t work then I’ll use the paint thinner
I match automotive paint and get paint on samples all the time. Lacquer thinner will get rid of the paint that is speckled like that. The thinner will dry the paint but you just buff it a bit and it's back to normal or even better. Sadly if it is left on there for a long time, it will burn into the clear coat. So you have to let the customer know that it probably will need more work than just removing the paint itself. The paint will leave spots on the clear and it will look pretty bad even though the paint is gone off the surface. Basically will look similar to water spots
Great job Wayne. Stay positive bro. One thing I would suggest is to set the expectation beforehand..before you even start let him know what you will be doing...this you both are on the same page. If he was looking for more than you expected then it could have been dealt with at the beginning. Keep up the grind and husell bro
If there is a lot of clear coat you can lightly wet sand it with 3000 grit then just polish it after or you can use a whool pad with heavy cut compound and then after it goes away polish it
I also do detailing Nj auto detailing and I’ve used brake cleaner with a soft micro fiber spray it on the towel Amd then lightly rub off paint specs .. WORKS MAGIC
Ive used a heavy clay bar with an APC you just need to make sure you are in the shade. It is a pain but the results are good just have to compound the paint after.
Rapid remover if it’s house latex, about $70 a gallon. If it’s kick up from road paint, refer him to a shop. I no longer do road paint as a mobile service,,,, too much aas pain. Btw, love your vids, real examples of the day in the life of a mobile detailer. GOOD2GO

basically a 3 step paint correction
Very professional brother! That’s how you keep good costumers!
Im so glad I come across your channel, you got some serious motivation and fantastic content, I really respect that! Blessings from Australia :)
Australia in the building!!! That’s dope much love thanks for your support!!
Yeah bro I learned this from my paint man 15 years ago. Compound with the buffer and you good family
You can sometimes get overspray off with clay but it is extremely time consuming and take a lot of elbow grease. Compound and polish would be the way to go but if it’s really bad then you may need to wet sand it with fine grits sandpaper. At that point I wouldn’t even deal with it though.
With overspray if you use a watered down acetone solution. If it’s bad use it with a clay mitt too
Don’t feel bad man, that paint would have to have been buffed indoors, the sun and heat be a tough buff job.
You can always do a little spot to show the customer how it’s going to look . Some customers want a new paint job with a wax .
Dope ass channel you seem super genuine and hard working !
Thanks !!!!
Good luck.
Lacquer thinner over wet sanding?
@@ljguy300 lacquer thinner is what I would use. Wet sanding is a good approach too. I’d just hate to charge for a polish job afterwards. Not only will I remove the overspray with lacquer thinner but don’t have to polish much afterwards (Maybe).
I watch video after video of yours they are very helpful I’m gettin a lot of inspiration and I’m becoming more and more interested in becoming my own boss and doing something I would enjoy
That customer is in for a treat next appointment that isn’t light work removing over spray from a whole car
I passed on this one brotha 😅
@@HuntersMobileDetailing don’t blame you don’t understand how there can be so much over spray on a car and a client will try to have you take it off with a basic service keep grinding your on your way to the top bro.
Hunter you are truly an inspiration and a God send did you ever figure out what it was? Looks like overspray?
I think Reyes and Hunter are good friend. Reyes is always in his videos. Lol they make cool duos. I actually enjoys watching Reyes funny slow motion yet excited tone asking questions oo yea 1 more thing he's funny in his way lolz
If its primer or something else that's self etching I will wet sand 2,000 & work up to 8,000 grit & high speed buff afterwards..... anyways , you do awesome work !
wayne, i would consider picking up max shine heavy clay bar on hand. removes overspray and heavy contamination
The yellow griots garage tacky clay bars get what those synthetic mitts can't. they are amazing
Definitely can appreciate the real , cause it all ain’t easy breezy all the time . Respect!
Bro as I'm learning I rather be ready for real deal an how to go out it so every one's making out in the end 💯 your a good guy bro..
Citrol? That stuff is amazing for anything stubborn.
This camera man/commentator has me rolling!! Never change bro! You two make a great team!
Bro you giving free game I appreciate this so much, completely killing the crab in the barrel mentality. ✅✅🔥 I’m subbing, class in session.
I just started offering buffing/waxing to my menu. This is one of the things i fear. Also i clayed a car and scratched the shit out of it but then i fixed it.
Live and learn. Shot out from
Orange county :)
Your attitude is great man! I get frustrated too easily and self savotage if i make mistakes, but im creating habits that mistakes are lessons and its ok to make mistakes and MOST customers will be ok of youre honest and professional
Paint thinners on a rag will remove paint over spray . It will remove those little spots of paint without affecting the duco.
I use paint thinner bro or a clay bar would do the job but that would take longer then the paint thinner. I would use paint thinner and then polish it because the paint looks all oxides from the sun. I would of charge him extra on top of that too because that’s not what you guys discussed over the phone
Thanks
That’s crazy lmao i was literally thinking in the beginning of the video about the exact water situation you brought up around 4:25
If there is a lot of clear coat you can lightly wet sand it with 3000 grit then just polish it after or you can use a whool pad with heavy cut compound and then after it goes away polish it
Thanks
I also do detailing Nj auto detailing and I’ve used brake cleaner with a soft micro fiber spray it on the towel Amd then lightly rub off paint specs .. WORKS MAGIC
Ive used a heavy clay bar with an APC you just need to make sure you are in the shade. It is a pain but the results are good just have to compound the paint after.
Thanks for the help

Rapid remover if it’s house latex, about $70 a gallon. If it’s kick up from road paint, refer him to a shop. I no longer do road paint as a mobile service,,,, too much aas pain. Btw, love your vids, real examples of the day in the life of a mobile detailer. GOOD2GO
