Oh my GAWD! Charli started as a more mainstream artist, so this album is part of that Era. As time has passed, she has really embraced a more experimental and exciting sound. I'd definitely suggest listening to the next album Sucker in a more retrospective way, perhaps after listening to the Vroom Vroom EP, Number 1 Angel, Pop 2, Charli, and How I'm Feeling Now. During this early period, she was more controlled by her label, so I wouldn't say these first two albums are a good representation of the amazing and euphoric music that she makes today.
It's crazy, cause today she is most known for her amazing knack for songwriting and lyricism, as well as crazy production. Full Honesty, if I had started with True Romance or Sucker, I would have thought she wasn't the Artist for me. But if you plan to listen to her entire discography and would like to get the whole picture in a more linear way, then disregard. Charli is a queer Icon, really excited to see your thoughts on her future albums!

True Romance is definitely a product of its time. She's a cute album, definitely cool to see how Charli started out in her early career. Can't wait for you to hear her Self titled album CHARLI, it just might he the nest pop album ever made.

Charli is incredible. Super excited for your reaction of Pop 2 and How I'm Feeling Now. Those just might be my top albums of all time.
