He’ll be coaching Gainesville in Georgia. Pretty good program that’s fell on hard times. Third in wins in state of Georgia, had some great players like Blake Sims , AJ Johnson and most famously Deshaun Watson.

Never blamed him one bit. The Alabama High school athletic association is as corrupt as any organization in America. It always has been but it's more "open" now. At some schools in the state the coaches are basically college coaches and recruiting in the public school system is out of control. There's a school in Calhoun County (that he mentions) that has been fudging it's enrollment numbers going back to the 70's to keep them in a smaller class. The big thing, and he brings it up, now is having schools pay a massive down payment on a house to get a kid to move into a school district that his family could never afford. Ironically, Hoover started this but Josh isn't willing to play this game. Kudos to you Coach.

At least he is leaving Hoover. My HS destroyed Hoover when Hoover was high-profile. My HS has won 28 State Championships and put a severe whooping on Hoover.

He’s coming to my home town, Gainesville and I can’t even believe it. Gainesville used to be a football town and now it is not. I’m not sure what the draw was here. There is tradition here but the old Fanbase is gone. Mostly a Hispanic community now that knows very little about football. I’m sure that he will draw athletes here because of who he is and Gainesville win but man I just don’t get it.

I think Gainesville was a better fit for him. Or he just wanted to build a new program.

@@clockehvac1240 Better OFFER -- more money. New Challenges. Coach Niblett was ready for a new challenge -- and as he said -- retire. (Meaning he won't have to teach and coach ... he can just be a coach).
