Stitching is my therapy! Especially this last year and a half, lots of hospital and doctor visits with my dad. I even now have one project I call my “dad stitching”. It goes with me every time, and if it’s a few stitches or a lot of stitches, it keeps my mind and my hands busy. You mentioned a stitching book I think in this flosstube or a previous one. I have a book called Stitchery Encyclopedia that was given to me by my mom for my 16th birthday. I cherish this book. At the time I was doing lots of fun little cross stitch bookmarks for my friends, and I started learning needle point with canvas and wool. I love watching your floss tubes and enjoy watching past episodes while I am stitching or sewing. Thank you for the wonderful episodes! Happy Stitching 💕
I’m always excited when your next floss tube pops up ❤ Stitching is definitely therapeutic! Deb you’ll have to share how you’re going to finish Hometown Holidays! I have 9 of the charts and just started with the Toy Store. Also Liz, I believe you too are working your own montage? It would be wonderful to see yours too. Happy Stitching 🧵❤
I enjoyed your video as always … I was taught to start in the middle of the fabric … loved seeing your works and thanks for sharing the information about the light … I too love Teresa Kogut … until next time Happy Stitching 🧵 … 😊❤ Dena
Sometimes I start in the corner but if the main focal point is in the center, I like to start there. October is a spooky, wicked month. I love the kids costumes and how they giggle when I pretend not to recognize them 😊
So Good to see you both again, love the cabinet behind you both. Thank-you for the product review. I like hearing the questions and answers from other stitchers, I am not a quilter but love seeing what quilters are working on. Love that bag and the goodies, the mitten floss holders are adorable. Nice progress on your Sampler Deb.
So glad to see you again! I like having busy hands and stitching is calming and therapeutic. It's also time when my mind just wanders and ideas pop up. 😊 I'm really interested in the light you showed. Thank you!
I always start in the middle, but since l started watching you ladies. Decided to start in corner of couple, will use both. Wanted to tell you Liz, bought a couple of the different size Nurge Hoops. 😮 so nice and tight, THANK'S, LOVE.❤. I myself is miles from needlework stores 😢and no stitching buddies here in Duluth, Minnesota
Great video Liz & Deb! Deb you have inspired me to stitch LHN "Streets" I have finished one street with 5 & started a 2nd street, only 2 stitched. I'm not good at posting pics on IG, hopefully I'll figure it out & post eventually.
Stitching calms me. My husband was going through cancer and mom was diagnosed with dementia. She was at times yelling, screaming, sometimes hitting. I decided to “ignore” her outburst and started stitching. SHE calmed down and watched me, I showed her what I was stitching. It helped me, it helped her in a way. Hospitals - I always took stitching, otherwise I’m bored or get agitated and think about other things!!
I so appreciate you answering my question about one over one on Aida. I understood exactly what you were saying and as soon as I purchase some #10 beading needles I will give it a try. I am assuming Alma did full crosses because the directions say, “My initials and dates inside the shields were stitched over 1 linen thread due to space issues.” This pattern booklet came out in 2023. The full name of the booklet is “Crowns & Shields A Collection of Cartouches”. Thank you again for being so helpful!!!
I piece and quilt, knit, crochet, diamond paint. I have tatted and find needlepoint. I belonged to the Long Island Chapter of the EGA. My chapter closed long ago.
Well as far as influencers go...I'm glad I'm poor... I can only get so much 😂😂😂. I have to be careful this year on the scarry decorations for Halloween, our grandson has just turned one and don't want to 😱 him. I love Halloween 🎃. Thanks for sharing. Take care❤
My passed away November 27th of last year and she taught me to counted cross stitch and crochet and knit and plastic canvas years ago when i was a teenager and I'm now 58 years old
Yours is the first flosstube channel I first discovered and that led me down the rabbit hole addicted to flosstube channels. Question: I'm getting ready to begin a big project, Serenity. For multiple page patterns in books, how do you keep the book from getting worn and damaged over time?
Deb - Love your Scottish Sampler color choices. Would you be willing to share your conversion? I saw your Instagram post in which you mentioned that you used some of the called for colors and converted others. Your choices really brighten up the piece.

I'm self-taught in cross stitch & embroidery, back in the 70's Books helped a lot, and try to stitch every day, usually at night.

Thank you for sharing your experience. ❤
I always start in the middle! That was how I was taught. I love trying different finishes.
Omg candlewicking. I loved that. A blast from the past.
Gorgeous Scottish Sampler. I have two but not like yours.
Loved to stitch every night after the kids went to bed!

Another great video. Loved your Sppoky and Wicked shows. Always ready to watch your videos.
