Peaches look good brother! I guess the few nights of 25f weather here has at least one benefit. No fruit flies. We do have brown rot though! Good luck George!
You are absolutely right. It is a race. My donut peaches were annihilated the moment they ripened up... By birds, opossums, and especially raccoons (the branch busters). This year I'm picking early for sure!
As a woke vegan, incidental animal protein doesn't bother me. I'd be far more concerned about the daily consumption of flesh from cow, chicken, sheep and fish consumed by almost every human on this planet!
Hello, when you do hand pollination ,are you using the male flower of another anon tree? If not, that’s probably the reason it’s not setting fruit, ,,,,that’s how I solved that problem with my paw paws!
Hey, good video. But if that was my peach tree, it would be gone. I hate bugs in fruit...turns me off. There is a new flat peach called, Flat Wonderful. Thanks for sharing.
We don't mind some organic bugs, so long as we stay clear of processed meats and dairy which are far more disgusting than what's in fruit. I'll check out the Flat Wonderful. Thanks for sharing.
@@RealLifeFruitopia Oh yeah, I stay away from that stuff. I guess your not as grossed out by creepy crawlies like me.🤪 Watching your walk and talk 2. Love it.
plant some calendula under the custard apple maybe for increased pollination, edible and beautiful perennial, anti inflammatory, pest control companion
For pollination did you try to take the flower at night then you pollinate at daylight? I heard someone in a video saying the flower is male at night and female during the day
I lost 100 peaches which was the first year it fruited in 2020 due to fruit fly didn't get 1 that was not affected i have about 300 this year so hopefully with the fruit fly netting and male lure baits i get something this year
Looks awesome. We are starting to pick our Angeles donuts peach. Super sweet and has its own flavour. By far my favourite peach.
So good!

Thanks Thomas!
Nice 👍🏼 the first tree I planted two years ago was the donut peach!
Very nice!
Curious , do you plant your trees in a container and then bury them in the grass ? Spears that way anyhow .

They look so scrumptious!🤩
Kim's favourite peach!
dear is this one a dwarf variety or normal size?
Dwarf tree, regular fruit size.

Good idea. I might pick early too!
Hey great vid. I can see pots in ground? Do you plant Saturn peach in pot? Curious haha
They are not pots. www.bunnings.com.au/greenwell-green-water-saving-plant-surrounds_p3320974
Are these similar to the orcino okie dokie peaches at all ?
Not sure , but if you're in the US, they are known as Saturn peaches.
Do the fruit fly eggs, worms and pupae grow inside you after you eat them out of the peach? I wouldn't eat that fruit.

I've not heard of doing it that way. I've only hand pollinated male to female from the same tree.
I recommend Sir Prize Avocado for zone 9b, seen it be prolific even in temps of -6 to 43.

I've never seen that variety available in Australia.
last year i did not get the change to have any of my peaches every one of them had earwigs inside of the fruit
Varies each year
I used UV light and it removed all of those bugs. You can try it out.
Explain how this works please.
I used the UV light and put the water under it, the UV light attract the bugs and it flight to the UV light and fall to the water.
Got it, thanks!

Thanks for the suggestion.

I've done that, but I haven't tried taking pollen from another Anona which someone here suggested.
"Anything to attract fruit flies" ? Is that a good thing? Iv seen people wanting to protect from fruit flies.
I'm not having much luck hand pollinating Anonas, so hoping to attract any help.

@@Samandcolbygirls.2024 Fruit fly isn't yet a big problem here, so until it is I will continue to invite them as pollinators. Good luck!
first picking nice...
Thanks 👍
I need flat peach plant .??Respect from India .
It’s very annoying when picking of a really nice looking piece of fruit and the other side has bugs tunnelling into it. Good luck with the race
Wow beautiful
Thank you! Cheers!
Nice!
