for the chunk loading problem I had to go into configs and change chunk loading to always. I think its in ftb chunks config but the default value it has makes so that someone on your team has to be online I believe. I don't know if you tried this already just a suggestion.

you can link the energizing rods to a specific orb using the powah wrench so you dont have to rely on their automatic targeting

yeah we did, but the stalls out on starting up with that config enabled, so i'm just not gonna turn it on
