      MrZcruzer saw them just this weekend play the Cal State Fair in Sac. They are still a force to contend with! Very, very powerful band and frankly I don’t understand why some people diss them - they’ve got a nice variety of music that taps into different moods, and some serious rockers like “Don’t Tell Me”, etc. I’m proud to be a Night Ranger fan!

    I have always admired Brad's awesome guitar playing. He was a big influence on me when I started playing guitar in the very early 1980s. I have always liked Night Ranger's music, and I sat down and did my best to learn to play their songs. I also liked Brad's playing on Ozzy's "Speak of the Devil" album in 1982. I played that cassette tape so much that I pretty much wore it out...lol!

    • @fixandfarm

      It's hard to listen to bands in smaller venues because drums often sound awful. I play in many bars and finally gave up the ghost and purchased an electric kit. I concluded it was worth my inconvenience of not having the"real feel" of an acoustic kit in exchange for patrons to hear large venue drum sounds.

    Jack Blades is no longer in the band , he said they were a three peice,so no more Joel Hoekstra , there has not been Keys since mike Lardie came in as a Keyboardist . Wow it really looks like the true nucleus is Gillis and Keagy , wow , suprised at Blades !

    • @JamminClemmons
      @JamminClemmons 9 лет назад

      +sab287Leporidae I don't know about Jeff Watson. Was he the Keyboard player, or other guitarist?
      There are only three original members left in Night Ranger though. That's from the people I talked to. See them if you can. Way professional show--I was floored!

    • @sab2871
      @sab2871 9 лет назад

      Jammin Clemmons
      WOW, not even a keyboard player , holy shit !
      Jeff was the second guitarist , Alan " Fitz" , Fitzgerald was teh Keyboardist , when he left or I think he also passed on , Michael Lardie of GREAT WHITE another California band , I think they were from Alameda area , was asked to come in . after Watson left , not to sure the real truth behind his depature , it is sketchy . There was another guitarist , shit his name is not coming to me , I know it , he was back and forth with the group and I guess he is no longer. I do remember hearing it was 3 now and personally , that is a bit of a loss really , the band should be at the least 4 but then again in some ways it can be looked at as " well we never replace , Jeff and Alan " so why bother !!
      Yes they can survive quite well without a second guitar and a keyboardist, I think they are in fact the original three, KEAGY AND JACK ARE THE FIRST AND THEN BRAD !
      Are they using a Keyboardist at all , a hired guy to sit in for the older songs with Keyboards ?

    • @JamminClemmons
      @JamminClemmons 9 лет назад

      +sab287Leporidae
      I am sorry....I confused you.
      There were five members when i saw them, just a couple weeks ago. When I wrote there are (only 3) original members, that was meaning they hired 2 newer guys.
      Again...that show was way professional. Night Ranger doesn't F*ck around--LOL

      Yeah, probably just you. I've emailed him about some Floyd issues and got helpful personal replies and pics of his setup from him. Can't imagine many jerks would do that. His personality is a little goofy and odd but I don't think that makes him a jerk, or what some others here have said...an ass. Musicians and artists in general have weird senses of humor and odd personalities (most of the good ones anyway), so you have to understand that he isn't going to be a normal person you would typically hang out with. But that's cool and it's probably part of what makes him unique.
