Thank you so much for this video; you have no idea how much this tutorial is worth to me right now. In cosmetology school specializing as a nail technician, blending my tips has been a weakness of mine. Now six months later as I prepare for my state board licensing exams, I've improved but still needed that extra insight. After watching your video and practicing with your advice, my blending is so much better! Thank you so much!
I just have to say. I'm not a licensed nail technician yet. but I plan to be. I would give anything to learn (In person) from the best. I enjoy every single one of your videos. thank you for what you do, and don't ever stop 😄
I brush just a TINY bit of acetone on the nail tip where it meets the free edge, then file. It works really well for me because I get fairly inexpensive tips :)
Well, it really just depends on you. Whatever you like really. But if the client wants a very short nail, I recommend to use nail forms and construct it with acrylics. If you use tips, you would basically be wasting them. But again, just your preference and your decision.
It depends on what you as the technician prefers, but also for me personally, tips are faster and easier, but forms are more custom built to the persons finger. For someone with heavily bitten nails, it is easier for me to just glue on tips rather than sculpt a free edge and then apply a form.
It is mostly your preference unless your client is a severe nail bitter then the best course is to sculpt them a cute short set. Otherwise there really up to your personal preference or that of you client. Of course you charge more to sculpt because you are creating the entire enhancement from scratch.
I saw on another video, that they put cuticle oil on the nail for extra smoothness?! Is that correct? I thought you weren't suppose to put oils on the nail because the acrylic won't stick and stay! Thanks for your videos, they rock! ;)
Can someone explain to me why exactly we need to blend the tip if we are just applying acrylic over it? Can you just efile the acrylic into a smooth shape? Why does it matter what is under it?
You only blend if you’re using clear acrylic or gel on top with no colour, some people ask for natural nails so all you do is put a top coat on at the end. For this to look nice you need to blend the tip so that you cant see the line, if you’re putting a colour on top you don’t need to blend

what does this do?
I thin the false nail with an e-file BEFORE I glue it on my natural nail. Yes, it's possible.
Good tip. I didn't think you could do that..
I've subscribed...you're the best I've ever seen.
You're so cute! ^^
I love your videos! Thank you!
can you wear the nail just like that? I understand that it would fall off but it looks so well blended.
Thank you!💅

How do you decide whether to use a tip or to construct the entire nail from the acryl?

Good to know! Where do I order these Tips from? Thank you! 💅
What number files you using?
I believe she uses a 150 or 180. :)
What file is that 100/180
Now what about colord nail tips, Do we use the same blending process?
+Naio Nails yes they do because there is a well and I just did a set of gels using colored tips and I can see the well
You can, they're called temporary tips, people usually get them if they only want to wear them for a special night because they only last a few days.
Tips are not for strength, they are just to have a guide for where to place your product. You get the strength from your product and how you apply it.
Is this the same person?Kirsty?
No

I saw in another video by them that it's appiled to prevent soreness ( I guess from all of the filing and chemicals).
Why don't coloured tips need blending?
Aren't you risking air, moisture getting under the tip? Do they never need blending (all coloured/white tips)?
Ha well I must of forgot that! Hate blending too! Haha. Thankyou 😊 my next project is sculpting

I am so curious about this as well!
Kellina Horgan because some careers do not allow false nails. So this is a way around it.
