    Check the light output on your light meter on your phone. Going to check to see if my fan it like yours. My gas tank is like yours has the inlets on it been watching some of the past repairs you have done Ronnie

    I have the same model - how many miles on yours? I have just over 50K miles on mine.
    I came looking for waterpump info as I had some coolant on the ground under the engine during our deep freeze here - it's been right about zero for a week.
    Fired it up, runs fine, no coolant leak - I suspect the weep hole on the pump. Probably still okay, but ready to replace it if necessary. I did get a new thermostat, thought I would replace that just as preventive maintenance. Nothing so far on this engine other than regular maintenance.

    Kevin, I finally figured out where you got the extra room to work at. You are able to remove the bottom half of the fan shroud. My 2004 P32 has the shroud fixed together. I am going to figure our how to separate it and then add tinnermans nuts and clips so that it will come apart like yours. Also, do you use all hand tools or do you have some secret power tools for tight spaces?

    Hey Kevin have u had to change the dampner pulley yet? Just wondered which puller should be used, the old style 3 bolt Chevy pulley puller or the newer 3 jaw OTC puller with the rod that pushes the center of the crank. Mine is walking off and starting to eat up the belt. I'm about 1200 miles south from Home and will prob be changing it out in the next day or two at a rest stop somewhere. Thnx for your time.

      Looks like I just pulled the new pulley out of the box and answered my own question. There are no holes in it but 3 notches in the back, need the newer style puller 🤐

    Thanks Kevin. What is the P/N for the smaller upper bypass hose? (the one which is hard to reach? Also, I am about to replace the drive belt on my 2005 W22 (67,000 miles) as preventative maintenance. Will replace idler pulleys too, but can this all be done with the fan in place? Thanks

      Yes no need to remove fan . Might be a good time to clean throttle body also, makes getting to that top hose easy .. see my video about that.

    Kevin, my doghouse doesn't come off without tearing up some carpet. It has a smaller section that comes off, but it doesn't allow access to water hoses. Will I be able to get them from the bottom?

    • @ktoutdoor
      @ktoutdoor  6 лет назад +1

      Yes i did it all from the bottom give me a call if you like 606-875-0125 i stay up past midnight eastern time.

      The job is finished. Thanks for your video and offer for phone consultation. I did end up removing the dog house which made it much easier to get to some of the clamps. I also replaced all hoses and pressed new bearings into the idler and tension pulleys.

    2004 35' Adventurer 8.1 Professional Mechanic. That is NOT how you remove the fan clutch from the water pump. For one, if you leave the belt on, it helps hold it from turning. Chaining things up is dumb. If you don't have the correct tool and knowledge, you run the risk of damaging things. There are a variety of tools for getting those off. KD makes some. If you are doing it yourself, you are saving a ton of money anyway. Buy the tool and do it the right way.

    • @ktoutdoor
      @ktoutdoor  5 лет назад

      Thanks for the advice, note fan had been on there for 15 years, belt would not hold that's why I had to go out and but specialty tools for this job. If you know of a better tool please give me a link as to where I can buy it. Keep in mind I only have a 7th grade education I'm doing the best I can.
