Any idea when Highline Trail will open? We will be in GNP July 12-17. We will be following your 4 day itinerary and are looking forward to it!
No :( It totally depends on the snow levels and how quickly things melt.
discovered your page right on time as I'm planning my first to GNP!!!, my question is camping related and bears. We have a spot reserved at fish creek. We are truck camping (bed of our truck has been converted with a sleeping platform, is it still safe to place our belongings with our bear canister in the cab? or should we look at different sleeping options or storing our belonging elsewhere? Thank you again for sharing all your knowledge.
You should be ok keeping your stuff in a locked cab. And sometimes they do have bear boxes in the sites that you could use as well!
Thank you for sharing!
My pleasure!
Just left on Thursday, they open the road to hikers and bicyclists.
Then opened it to all on Sat. Bummer.
The timing on that one is tricky!
Which park is your favorite. and why? We haven’t been to any and trying to decide which one to go to.
Grand Teton -- some of the best mountain hiking and wildlife viewing in the country!
@@DirtInMyShoes for someone that doesn’t hike a lot and isn’t in great shape, would they be able to find plenty to do without having to do aggressive hiking?
@@sherrymiller4350 yes! You'll find a huge list of things to do on dirtinmyshoes.com, including a list of activities for people who can't/don't like to hike.
Thanks Ash! I have your Glacier itinerary. We will be in GNP in 3 weeks. Starting on the east side. We want to do ST Mary Falls/VA falls prior to driving the entire road. I know you say start early. We are coming down from Banff & won't be to that area before noon. Will it be impossible to get parking near the trail head? Not thrilled about trying to get a shuttle.
It is HIGHLY unlikely that you'll find parking there at that time of day. If you have any more specific questions about your schedule, please contact me here so that I can better help you: www.dirtinmyshoes.com/contact-me/
I’ll be there for the first time July 3rd I hope GTSR is open by then 🤞
I hope so too!
@@DirtInMyShoes Yayyyy! It's open!
@@denisesmith3873 I'm so glad you get to drive the whole thing! Have a great trip!
Would you suggest, once entering the park to head straight up to Logan’s Pass?
Yes! You'll find my timing suggestions (hour-by-hour) in my Glacier Itinerary here: www.dirtinmyshoes.com/glacier-itinerary/
Love to see you guys talking. I really enjoy your hearing about your little tit for tats. True, who eats the brown bananas. Lol. Hint Ash. Put it in the freezer till your ready to bake!
Haha thanks so much! I'll have to do that so that he doesn't keep eating them LOL
Get rid of the banner on your video, takes away from the video big time.
We keep the banner on there because this isn't a traditional RUclips video...it's for our podcast and it's meant to be listened to rather than watched :)
