Today's video is a little date day I had with myself! I wanted to spend the day doing a few of the the things I love, and just take it slow and enjoy the beautiful sun that has been joining us here in Portland lately! I go to Powell's to pick up a new poetry book, go on a little winter picnic & make a dried floral wreath with flowers I have been collecting from my family's cabin over the past couple summers as well as some I have purchased. I hope this video brings peace & comfort to your day! Thank you so much for being here & supporting me 💛

Randi, I love your dress and sweater, SO cute on you. Winter picnic is a great idea. I carry pillow and quilt to lay down to watch the cloud float by, take in nature and food, it tastes better outside. Oh how I long for picnics and reading outside...currently it us 14 degrees here in Illinois. I'm trying to enjoy winter but I miss spending long hours outside!

Ah, love that you were perusing the poetry section. I caught Neruda on the shelf! And Mary Oliver's Devotions, which I picked up from the library after Morgan Long recommended it. Can't wait to get into it! (Love that you picked up a smaller book tho. reading poetry in nature, on the go, is really grounding.)

What a wonderful day you had Randi doing the things that bring you joy. You will love House Of Light. That book has one of my all time favorite poems in it. However there are so many of Mary Oliver's poems that speak to me. I loved that you went on a solo picnic. I absolutely love going on picnics in nature and since I find that others do not share my enthusiasm I need to make myself do solo picnics. It looked like the perfect spot too! I have to tell you that you have inspired me to start trying more craft projects. Your wreath turned out beautiful! I really enjoyed this video my friend. Love and Light.

How do you dry the flowers?
I usually bunch a fresh bouquet and tie the stems in a bunch with twine, and then hang them upside down in a cold, dark room!
