When it comes to gaskets, if they're not available the ultimate solution that is always available is the old standby, soft copper sheet, and DIY it. They are suitable for any engine application up to and including rocket engines.
Learned somethin new!!
Cornflake packet and a craft knife.
@@runningvalverI’d be tempted to double up to 2 sheets of Kelloggs cornflake packets for a car of this calibre
They can also get gasket sheets and cut them up to fit. For o-rings buy up kits of many different sizes and they might get all the ones they need.
Thats what I was thinking. He could literally manufacture his own gaskets and seals for cheaper.
I know this project is costing way more than the car is worth, but this car will have a legendary story unlike any other Bugatti Veyron. That alone makes it a little more valuable considering you've documented the rebuild.
I guess sponsorship deals , views, and recognition make it worthwhile
He will make some money back from the views and hype of this build series
That kinda part of the reason I wish he painted it the same color as it was originally
@@Double_Barrel_Extended_Clipsthe original car is ugly
og spec is very boring@@Double_Barrel_Extended_Clips
You guys need to put some more videos out there, we enjoy watching them. Keep up the good work
The project is finisht
Keep these videos up. Even though it’s turning out to be a expensive build, this series is super interesting. Also I love the dialogue where you explain what’s going on. It makes it seem like a professionally filmed reality tv show. I love seeing new Bugatti videos. Keep up the hard work Houston
I believe the build is over long ago and now we just see it rolling.
good thing you told him cuz he definitely was bout to stop uploading
The engineering behind this car is insane. Dream and a nightmare, all in one.
Drop this Netflix style so I can just binge it already. Nice Series. I'm glad you are sharing content again.
This is my favorite build series right now. Great content Huston.
Mad Respect to Houston and the crew for this big task!
The harder the task… the more rewarding it’s completion…
There certain to be challenges along the way. Which is why we all like watching this build, and cheering you on from the sidelines.
Congrats to you Houston for getting in there and turning wrenches and actually being a part of the build. It's so gratifying and scary at the same time but ridiculously more rewarding when you get your own hands dirty on the build ❤🎉
I wish these were longer and more frequent 😢 it’s going to be insane when it’s finished!
Taking it apart is not the hardest thing. It's putting it back together. Wow, what a huge project.
Even though he claimed the opposite. Time will tell.
Yeah 😮
This car is just way too complicated
I heard the huge servicing costs even compared to a Chiron is why people try to get out of ownership on these
You smashed it with this series Houston! It's probably one of the best car series on YT, almost up there with Car Treck! The production quality, although relatively simple in format, is super clean and well done.
We need longer videos of the Bugatti series but in all honesty I do enjoy everything you would upload
Words cannot express how much and how proud the people that supported your channel are, you and your crew are doing a task that I don’t think anyone would want to do, and let’s not get into the cost of this project because it’s outrageous, I love to see the everyday guy rebuild and fix things that other people have went to school for and got all types of degrees, and not taking anything away from the talented people who built this car at the factory, but in the end just remember with any project it’s just nuts and bolts and if you have the will and the desire you can fix it and make it better, to all the men and women that love tools and don’t mind getting a little bit dirty, let this be your motivation to always let your talent shine
Love you took on this project and that you are sharing the rough journey with us all. Super glad Bugatti changed their stance and finally allowed you to buy the parts that you needed in order to put her back on the road safely. So happy to see content from you guys again after such a long break. I can’t wait to see the final car finished. I know you guys have been busy as hell with so many projects etc, but please tell me unnamed/ classified project is still going to be finished up at some point. I think you and all the OG subs will know what car I am talking about. Is that still going to be a thing at some point? I should have asked to see it while I was there, I believe you have it back in Vegas at the moment right? Can you give us some hints about it after you finish this series? Unless you decided to end-or sell the project to someone else… I am will speak for a few people that we all want to see that at some point. Will it be the next build series?
This is INSANEEEE, one of the most EPIC things the car community has seen. This is wild, absolutely love this
Those fenders are 🔥 this project is unreal!
The coolest, most hated car to work on. I’ll take 2…
This is so far beyond epic… unbelievable work and commitment. Wishing you actually showed more.
You guys are killing it with this series! @Houston Crosta Hats off to you and the Team! 👍👍💪🏿 We are glued to the screen wanting more.
I am loving every moment in this EPIC BUGATTI REBUILD by the man himself!!!!!!!!!!! I want to see more of it , HOUSTON , WHAT A W!!!!!!!!!!
these docu-series style videos for this project is actually really cool. I'm enjoying the hell out of this
I prefer the style of Taraish, Freddie, and Matt Armstrong, where they fully explain and pick parts while documenting the journey of fixing, supplying, and mending. However, this channel seems a bit sporadic. I understand what he's trying to do with the sit-down talk through, but the footage isn't working to explain much in detail. It would be better if they have more back and forth between people, fully explaining the parts' function and journey from start to finish on a few components. People like to learn about what each part does and how they are connected. A talk-over style is needed instead of being in a room as there is a disconnect.
I'd just like to see less talking and fussing over paint and more actual restoration of the car. Guy seems like a narcissist to me with his interviewing himself and whatnot.
@@lukebarnes8097 I think they do that because the footage isn't telling a story . Context , start and finish on a goal per video even if It doesn't come to purition , better flow and story based dialogue etc .
It's missing something . I can't really make up my mind on the people yet as ive only watch 4 videos.
@@lukebarnes8097dudes deffo a narcissist. He got the gearbox ecu refurbished but because he didn’t know if it was vin locked to the car, he couldn’t test it in his red veyron. So he spent 16k on a new ecu. I don’t think the guy knows what he’s really doing and has temper tantrums when he can’t go his way
Don’t matter to Houston lol he’s got more bread than you got
@NickNystul Whats that got to do with my opinion?
BTW I I'm doing very well, don't assume.
The amount of care going into this build. This will be the best rebuild you have done by far!
Care, ha it is more than capable of smearing a human like ketchup. It is a creation LIKE none before
This is amazing well done. I have a lot of respect seeing you hands on redoing this car it's a lot of F-ing work. Thank you for sharing it all with us really ty.
@Houston LOVE this series of vids, realy enjoying it, we're learnign alot about Bugatti engeneering . . . . same as @tavarish teardown, repair on the P1
Crosta pretending he is doing the labour on the buggyti is hilarious..... and the dish washing gloves....LOL!!!
much respect for this guy, cause bugatti literally build a rocket at that time when they set off to make this car.
Houston, I’ve got absolute MAD RESPECT for you and your team! Taking on rebuilding that car AFTER IT SAT, AFTER SOMEONE ELSE STARTED WORKING ON IT. I’m literally on the edge of my seat!!!!!!!!!! I’m SO excited to watch this car FINALLY get fixed and put back on the road. I can’t think of someone better to do it. 😊🎉 the way you complement Bugatti and their design of the car, and this is the Veyron! All the cars they’ve come out with since then! I can’t imagine what has gone into building them :) until the next episode I eagerly wait!
This is the most epic of epic projects, love it. Great video quality as well
One video a week aint cutting it houston. Come onnn. I love this car
This is the only way to go through and restore every vehicle. If you don't perform at your best in all things than you will never understand your worth. Houston is an inspiration and I can't wait to find a work home that has standards as meaningful as these. Keep inspiring Houston Crosta
the fun you are having with this build is priceless
seen the engine coming out.. was aesthetically majestic!!
Gotta give props to Houston and his team. What a crazy restoration process.
This series is awesome i hope you guys dont get discouraged its crazy how complicated it is and how expensive it is
This is just like flying to the moon or even Mars. Really cool series!
This Bugatti is a one of a kind car! A little too nice to drive, in real world conditions imo, but still a very nice car! Great work rebuilding this! I remember hearing about the story behind what happened to it, back in 2009. 👌💯😎
This should’ve been a 1 hour documentary style episodes
"I feel like something is missing in the videos. Other channels seem to do it better; here it's hit-and-miss. The videos are a little sporadic and don't match up. The sit-down part is only needed because the video garage section doesn't tell a story or follow a fixed storyboard. If the garage was presented better with a voice-over, the sit-down wouldn't be needed. So far, the sit-down has only been about complaining and emphasizing prices. Taraish and Matt Armstrong do it better, as their videos have structure - a start, middle, and end - even if the journey to get parts doesn't conclude. At least we the audience feel like we are part of that journey of taking off said part, ordering, or mending. A walkthrough of the part and junction is also missing."
Remember, this video was filmed two years ago. I believe there's more footage from the entire build process, considering that the build will have its separate video where he selects the best part for it. This is a Bugatti, not just any supercar that you can buy parts or fixed within a two week. Houston have a huge passion about car thats he focused it to finished the car. The video is a bonus for his documentation, he dont wanna talk shit about something in camera or explaning a parts in 40 minutes video when he could working on the car. On the other hand, Matt Armstrong's typical builds have a running engine and sometime the parts can be easily swaped in and finished. Samething happend with tavarish and his p1, i mean yes he have a good job to explaining the build but sometimes he goes to much especially in sponsored videos until you relized he's not finishing anything. If you know tavarish is type a guy that bought 4 project car and only finished 1 in a year. now the deal with the current state of the p1 is the same as in the video. they paint the car, rebuild the interior, figure it out how it works, until they realized to make the engine works and I bet the p1 will be completed in two years. So yeah its a diffrent story and sometimes everything cant be shown in the video.
@daniismana8929 You say he doesn't want to talk about the car for 40 or talk about parts . When he just could be fixing the car .
You do realize he is making a video doing just that . All he was saying is that it needs to be longer, I suppose because he was enjoying it, and I'm saying the production ,storyboard could be a little better made .
Don't let this distract you from the fact that Hector is gonna be running 3 Honda Civic's with spoon engines. On top of that he just came into Harry's and ordered 3 t66 turbo's with NOS's and a Motec System Exhaust.
I would have suggested pulling the whole engine form the beginning of this project! You are dealing with a salt water flooded car and that's no joke!
"Plus I want to clean it", my OCD loves this.
man your Bugatti and the tavarish p1 are gunna be legendary builds!
That table the engine is standing on really needs some cross bracing on the legs man. Looks like it could collapse with just a bit of shaking.
12:31 that thing looks like something from a space program not a car. Thats a mindblowing amazing shot 😊
Houston should just start a aftermarket Bugatti workshop for everyone else, probably he's only one now with so much expertise on Bugatti's outside of Bugatti dealers and staff.
I am truly loving this !!! Absolutely fascinating !!!
MY FAV BUILD SERIES! This could be on Netflix
This video is soo relatable with him repainting and rebuilding his Bugattis
Thank you for this rebuild series! This car is going to be a legend!
I love the look of the car what a machine, and what a gorgeous colour u r doing amazing 👏 😍
Houston I love your videos! Been watching since I was in High school. Getting to see you and your team take on the flooded bugatti is incredible. This might be the most expensive "project car" I've ever seen. I cant wait to see when its done
Ed Bolian will probably shrewdly negotiate his way into owning this Bugatti Veyron. No car has a story like this one.
Nobody's shrewdly negotiating Houston 💯
ed's lady shirts would look good in it
Ed tried... and failed.
Insane German engineering at its best, cost a lot of money to fix when broke 😊
Cool build, good job bringing this back. I watched the news coverage when this happened.
I love how houston is genuinely interested in learning and working on his cars
Great content! Most of humankind would never be able to see this magnificient machinery without you and your team. Thank you for your efforts and the videos.
Great series guys, love the retrospective video inserts, it gives great insight into how you felt
Your doing a fantastic job Houston you should be proud of yourself bringing this car back to life.
I know good tools don’t make you a good mechanic but I wouldn’t expect to see the guys working on a Veyron to be using Bosch impacts and Pittsburg ratchets.
There are company's that can reproduce gasgets. They take a picture of the original gasket or the flange. Trace it with cad software. CNC cut the new gasket. Done and cheap!
WHAT A BEAUTIFUL COLOR 😢😊😊😊😊😊😊.... ITS LIKE BLUE AND PURPLE???? BLUR-PLE!!!!!
Houston Crosta Absolutely Incredible Video I think it's absolutey incredible to see your Flooded Veyron rebuild almost completely taken apart and I think it's absolutey insane that it toom so much effort to take the Engine out
The mountain your climbing for this Veyron in truly staggering,👍💪😉
Cannot get enough of this build, I just want more now lol come on please.......
These videos are insane! Can't wait to see it finished.
Makes my day when Bugatti video drops
Great Video. I love the documentary type edits when you add thoughts in between video sequences!
Love the videos about the rebuild keep up the good work
Love this series so much!
This is the content I’ve been waiting for can’t to watch everything all over again when it’s done
Absolutely insane to watch this come apart. Congrats on having the courage to give it a shot.
M539 recently in his last 2 or 3 videos also replaced bmw pullies but had them made by another company for way cheaper to exact spec. Maybe check his videos.
This series is amazing
How you remember to assemble everything back to spec? Mad respect……..
Great series! Really brave taking on this challenge!
Can't wait to see the final results!
Totally worth the wait! Thumbs up every video.
Guys I LOVE It!!!!
*RUclips needs a race between This Bugatti and Freddy's OceanGate P1 EVO*
This should be a Netflix movie 🎥
Amazing build! 🎉
Thank you Houston for sharing this journey 🤟
love this series!
very cool video series bud!! top job!!
Have you ever tried checking the part numbers embossed into parts. For example gaskets, sensors etc are often used on far less exotic beasts.
I am seriously enjoying this series!
This guy is no BS and I like it! Unlike some other RUclipsrs say for example rebuilding a P1…
Damn this is hands down the craziest build on RUclips
1 Bugatti
2 tavarish P1
This RUclips builds really got out of hand's
Keep up the good work guys!!!
This series is such a 🐓 tease... I want MORE!
This engine will be out more than once!!!! the chances of having leaks is very high 😳
The best quote from this video ( I felt like a superhero just taking this car apart ) amazing stuff great video well done all involved in this mammoth task 😊👍
Such a sweet series
Unreal. Amazing project
Super cool stuff there
*now that's Gold Content* 🔥
This is such an underrated series.
my favorite rebuild on youtube EVER
