he did eventually modify the move around 2017 so that instead of sitting up afterward, he just lays in them for the cover. it puts more of the damage on them so he can still do the move at big PPVs while at the same time preserving his back just a little bit longer

Did he do it in that match? I remember he did it off a ladder to the announce table in the TLC match at Summerslam the Sunday before, but the ‘loser leaves’ match was a cage match on the following episode of Smackdown.

The trick is: do it with the middle part of your back not the lower or upper part.
So the senton bomb is converted into Swanton over a period of time. Nice.
