Marvelous. Thankyou yet again for a great video of old stanley crook where my dad came from. That was a real memmory jerker that was karl. Although i was brought up at a different mining village where my dad worked (silvewood colliery south yorkshire). i remmember these times very well. i myself was only a young kid then, but i remmember very well the village galers and the local sunnyside workingmens club trips...wow it was so exciting to go on the club trips those days...that was our treat for the year. we never had a single holiday whilst i was young, the club trip was it...My dad worked every day he could including overtime if poss, but we were bloody well poor then mate. most of our clothes were jumble or hand me downs.. but having said that we had some great times and good memmories... poor times in the mining comunity. but we had each other and bloody good neigabours and we all were there for eachother when needed.....i new everyone in the village. a village called sunnyside nr rotherham coincedently. but i think it was spelled slightly different than the sunniside nr crook....but our working mmens club was just like your workingmens clubs are on billy row hill and club at your sunniside. anyway Karl Thanks very much son for posting these great vids over the last year. we really have enjoyed them me and my wife an family. cheers very much Karl for making the effort. thats what makes utube so bloody good. i would love to put some vids on here myself, but this editting lark is a bit to much tec for me.lol i can justabout get it going enough tto watch utube and do a little tinternnet shopping.
