@zacharisincennes8026 The characters itchy and scratchy are direct parities of Tom and Jerry but the concept of the show and the level of violence is a lot like Herman and catnip
#30 Itchy and Scratchy- Herman and catnip? I’ve never heard of that. I guess it was before my time. I always thought that it was a parody of Tom and Jerry, but just with more violence lol
Carl and Lenny have masters degrees in nuclear physics, and Carl is known to have an astonishing IQ of 214. They are the safety people plus mr. Burns ,Homer is just a mascot
The best part of the Moe's Tavern prank call gag is the fact that most would only work if repeated to the tavern in a specific way, yet Moe always asks it that way. Like the example they showed here, where he looked forlorn when saying "Why can't I find Amanda Huginkis?"
Or when he inquires: "Is there an Al K. Hauleck in here? Where can I find an Al K. Hauleck? C'mon somebody here in this dive has gotta know where there's a will, there's an Al K Hauleck, c'mon now, say it w/me: my name is whatever, and/or I'm N. "Al" K. Hauleck...goddamn these perpetual fraternities except the few that cannot make change for the liquid Courage that I find in a can, and if this don't gets some comeuppance."
There's so many to choose from, though my brother and I always cracked up at the "Moe's Tavern" gags, and even replicated some ourselves in real life. It was hilarious how Moe never seemed to catch on. 😅
I had a Simson's experience. I was buying a car, and the salesman reminded me of "Gil Gunderson"! the car he was trying to sell was so bad the tires made a flumping noise because it wasn't driven for a long time. They forgot the "Hot dog gag"!! where (usually) Marge tells Homer "there is no hot dog vender here" then we hear "Hot dogs! Get your Hot dogs!"
My Favorites: D'oh! WHY YOU LITTLE...! The Couch, Chalkboard And Billboard Gags Bart's Prank Calls Woo-hoo Simpson Eh? Excellent Homer's Mmm (To Any Type Of Food And Drink) Talking Brain Haw-Haw
One of my favourite running gags in The Simpsons that wasn't featured is Homer unashamedly "borrowing" everything from Flanders, where most of his tools have stickers that say "Property of Ned Flanders" on them. The funniest one is when he takes Ned's air conditioner.
This list is missing something... The fact that Springfield is constantly being changed, where nothing has a permanent location outside of the Simpsons residence, which was actually ironically mentioned in the EA Games mobile game "The Simpsons: Tapped Out" by Homer when you're rebuilding Springfield
Even the Simpsons residence had an inconsistent address during the Conan O'Brien era. They settled for 742 Evergreen Tce. but Bart stated the address as 1094 Evergreen Tce. at one point.
My favorite running gags is when Homer says, "D'oh!" when he messes up every time or when he's unhappy, and when he says, "Whoo-hoo!" when he's happy, and didn't mess up.
The random references to Albany, NY. Matt Groening is from Oregon and there is an Albany, Oregon but Skinner specifically says he's from Albany, NY amidst the "steamed hams" gag. Also, in Homer to thr Max, the Albany, NY power plant has a meltdown. Also, Abe Simpson was voted handsomest boy in Albany, NY. Finally, Lisa is supposed to take a class trip to Albany. It's so random
I love the Itchy & Scratchy show in "The Simpsons." I find Itchy & Scratchy very funny. I gave Hans Moleman the nickname "Bad Luck" because he keeps facing bad luck.
Itchy and Scrachy the Best Top 100 Itchy and Scrachy Cartoon Top 100 Couch Gags Mr Burns forgot Homer's name all the time Homer forgot Frank Grimes's name/memory all the time
Looking at the last couch gag on this video, the map would suggest that the Springfield in question would be the state of Illinois if I'm not mistaken...
@@mojo3318 Oh I knew what the cartoon is and what Watchmojo shared haha. I was just expressing how I and I am sure a lot of other people have thought that Itchy and Scratchy were based off of Tom and Jerry
It's scary how people were killed when the building got blown up in one the gags! I saw that part as a kid, but don't remember. I kind of looked somewhere else in the video at the gross and weird parts like Homer's Imagination and Barney in a bikini👙. I found out about "Herman and Catnip" in a book and my sibling and I watched an episode on RUclips. I snorted when Abe Simpson kept saying "dickity". I also chuckled at some of the prank calls in the video.
First I ever heard of Rick & Morty is when they guest starred in a couch gag. Went on so long it seemed significant, and I never saw these two before. Looking it up online I saw comments of "Rick & Morty on Simpsons, FINALLY!". ??? Later when I looked deeper I found out Rick & Morty premiered roughly WHEN that episode aired, so WTF was up with "finally"???? Now that I've seen every episode of 7 seasons I REALLY should watch that opening again now that I can understand it, :) I love THIS: IMDb lists when people aren't listed with their official name, their IMDb profile name. Often it's something stupid like an extra capital, a missing dash, a woman's married name, or a non-English name having or missing an accent... But EVERY one of the Treehouse Of Horrors names is in there. Some of the big names, like Matt Groening, if you look at THEIR IMDb page, their listing is like "as Bat Groening/Batty Groaner/(etc)", LONG lists of 30+ years of gag names. :) (I believe there's one Thanksgiving episode which also got the Treehouse Of Horror treatment, and one year there were two I think, one week of an IT parody and one "normal" Treehouse).

Homer strangling Bart.
Homer's brain has created some classic moments and will continue to do so.
😊😅😂
The endless chase by the whole family running after their living room that is driven to approximately the vanishing point of reeali
I never knew that Rebecca doing an impression of Nelson Muntz was something that I needed
so good too
Her Mr. Burns was even better
The couch gag never gets old no matter how many times I watch it.
My favorite is Homer saying "D'oh." 🎉
Mine is Homer strangling Bart.
I love the episode where Homer says d'oh! Best episode ever!
Itchy and Scratchy is a parody of Herman and Catnip? I thought it was a parody of Tom and Jerry.
You’re not alone
@zacharisincennes8026 The characters itchy and scratchy are direct parities of Tom and Jerry but the concept of the show and the level of violence is a lot like Herman and catnip
It is a Tom and Jerry parody in some ways.
7:46 omg Rebecca I love your Ralph impression

Regarding No. 23…
My favorite “Ralphism” is “I’m going to a accident!” from the episode “Adventures in Baby Getting”.
Carl and Lenny have masters degrees in nuclear physics, and Carl is known to have an astonishing IQ of 214. They are the safety people plus mr. Burns ,Homer is just a mascot
I know we shouldn’t laugh at Hans Moleman’s misfortunes, but we can’t help it!
Booourns!
Personally, my favorite gag from this show is whenever Homer strangles Bart while shouting, "WHY YOU LITTLE...!"
The chalkboard “We’ll miss you Mrs K” 😢
The best part of the Moe's Tavern prank call gag is the fact that most would only work if repeated to the tavern in a specific way, yet Moe always asks it that way.
Like the example they showed here, where he looked forlorn when saying "Why can't I find Amanda Huginkis?"
"Maybe your standards are too high?" -Barney Gumble
I chuckled at that part in the video.

Surprised Sideshow Bob's turbulent relationship with rakes wasn't mentioned
Oh, man. Troy McClure. RIP Phil Hartman.
Don't ask me, I'm just hair. Your head stopped 18 inches ago!
There's so many to choose from, though my brother and I always cracked up at the "Moe's Tavern" gags, and even replicated some ourselves in real life. It was hilarious how Moe never seemed to catch on. 😅
I always liked Hugh Jass, because it was the fist time Bart couldn’t prank Moe
That second “Oww.” From Scratchy makes me laugh for no reason.

Thank you for the update, WatchMojo..!! 10:20 I remember they used to have that running gag a lot in the beginning, but not anymore. 🤣
Homer: "Awww, $20! I wanted a peanut!"
Brain: "$20 can buy many peanuts."
God, I love classic Simpsons XD
Excluding Treehouse of Horrors, the Gracie Films logo tends to have a decent soundbite in half the episodes so far.
My Favorites:

WHY YOU LITTLE...!
The Couch, Chalkboard And Billboard Gags
Bart's Prank Calls
Woo-hoo

Homer's Mmm (To Any Type Of Food And Drink)

I thought Talking Brain was Homer thinking to himself.
The Treehouse of Horror ones are genius! Bat Groening is my favourite horror pun
Any wonder the title of the biography of Phil Hartman, who voiced Troy McClure (and Lionel Hutz!) was YOU MAY REMEMBER ME...?
Pretty good impersonations!
13:21 clearly they forgot about officer barbrady!
One of my favourite running gags in The Simpsons that wasn't featured is Homer unashamedly "borrowing" everything from Flanders, where most of his tools have stickers that say "Property of Ned Flanders" on them. The funniest one is when he takes Ned's air conditioner.

According to that last couch gag, it seems to be that they live in Springfield Wisconsin.
Top 10 Worst Things to Happen to Lincoln Loud from The Loud House like “No such Luck” and “The Taunting Hour”

"Bake em away toys" is freaking hilarious
My favorite running gags is when Homer says, "D'oh!" when he messes up every time or when he's unhappy, and when he says, "Whoo-hoo!" when he's happy, and didn't mess up.
They had an episode where Moe reveals he has known the prank calls are from Bart. Moe has a soft spot for him and plays along.

These running gags are all excellent
Billboard Gag: neon sign for the divorce lawyer firm the "Happy Widow" - wife dancing on husband's grave.

Hans Moleman is the funniest character, hans down!
I had to watch a clip of Herman and katnip after wondering why it was too violent for children.
Holy hell, Herman is a sociopath
How could you not include "I'm in Danger." for a Ralphism?
Looking at the last couch gag on this video, the map would suggest that the Springfield in question would be the state of Illinois if I'm not mistaken...
Moleman was supposed to have extra scenes in 22 stories from Springfield where he has a Falling Down day
I think that the couch gag is the funniest The Simpsons running Gag.
Who else thought Itchy and Scratchy were parodies of Tom and Jerry and not the cartoon that Watchmojo shared? Haha
The cartoon that Watchmojo shared was "Herman and Catnip".

In fact Matpat did a theory on where Springfield is in the Simpsons universe is. The theorized it's in Washington

The problem is The Blackboard Gags is not shown in a lot of episodes the way that The Couch Gags easily are during The Opening and that turns me off🤬👎
