Interesting he wanted the Marshall for LS, to me the Blue channel on the EL34 is very old school Marshall sounding. I love mine, took me a while to dial a sound I liked on the blue channel though.. I notice the Iconic there too, I recently traded for one of those and quite enjoying it as well, definitely a different beast than the 5150III EL34 but a fantastic amp as well, the clean channel on it can definitely get that Fender chime sound which was very unexpected but a pleasant surprise. Great review! I turned mine up to 3 once in the house... once ;) In regards to the noise, I'm using a TC Electronics Sentry through the effects loop and it work great!
Just got this amp used from a guy that bought it new a month ago and life happened and he needed to sell, he had the matching 4/12 el34 cab to go with and almost half what he paid so I had to get it. I think i will look for the matching 2/12 cab as I'm a bedroom player. I do like using my ZW od pedal with this amp and will do the 137 mod on it

Clip compasitor. 137 inside that head and the blue channel comes alive. You can look up anywhere about it Just thought yiu should know
