Thank you for your detailed review of the Kanzawa drill guide. Out of interest, what brand of adjustable square (obviously made in Japan from markings on the instrument) did you use to check perpendicularity of the holes?

Niigata-Seiki (SK) inside protractor... an indulgence from eBay!

Thank you for your reviews of this device. I am not a fine woodworker-just your average homeowner who does occasional modest work (E.g. putting up a backyard shed). Would you think this would be adequate for my needs versus the very pricey, fancy Woodpecker device?

I thought the Kanzawa was premium... that WoodPecker guide is twice as expensive! It looks very nice, though not convenient for drilling large diameter holes, like with a hole saw or Forstner bit. Seems to me the WoodPecker guide's speciality is its fence that would allow repeated holes a set distance from the edge. For casual use: the Kanzawa is a lifetime indulgence to be handed down to the grandkids, but the Wolf Craft guide would be adequate.
