It might be an attractive idea to purchase one of your failed pieces along with a finished piece. If I could afford one of these beauties, I'd want a rejected piece along with it to remind me why they're worth every penny.
that pattern turned out SO COOL!!! I wonder if you could find very small bearing that would FIT INSIDE the spaces between the balls - I think it would be a REAL CHALLENGE, but if these cutters sell well then maybe you could do a "VIP" or 'Limited Edition" in which you add the small bearing in between the the balls in the outer most ring... and maybe reverse the colors on maybe your emblem or part of the handle.... just 2 changes will make it look different enough to make it look different from the original, and would show-off more skills you have learned from this project... ( PLUS you get to increase the price by 40% !! lol ) but you make a small amount of them... maybe 5 or 10 and give them a special packaging .... people like to see 'hand made' or 'artisan' things like this, and almost ALWAYS sell them all - BUT you can only do this if you meet your goal in the first Orbicut (like sell ALL the ones you made, or making a certain amount of money from them.... think of it as a way to celebrate your success and sharing that with people)
Very well done. You were really patient that you were stuck to your plan. And you got results. Very nice bro. Bro one thing. Can you please the name of the Fluid/liquid/ chemical to make it black at 7:38.??
do you know about soaking Damascus pieces in instant coffee?? yes, after you etch it with the acid (I think you use ferric chloride) you soak the pieces in HOT, VERY, VERY STRONG INSTANT COFFEE and it makes the dark areas of the Damascus VERY BLACK!!! IDK if you do this, but I just think it is SO COOL that coffee can play such an amazing part of METAL WORKING!!! That is so cool!!!
people don't use 316 in knifemaking because, as it's classification as austenitic would suggest, it does not harden from heat treatment normally you want your knife to be hard, so you choose a martensitic 400 series at least so it can at least get kind of hard

Have a good day.
I used to think Will Stelter had the coolest pizza cutter.
Now, I'm not so sure.
Persistence really paid off. 👍
I have seen a lot of Damascus patterns, but this one is unreal. It looks so perfect, like it has been painted on. Keep it up man, this looks amazing!

MAGNIFICO TRABAJO. El mas bello cortapizza del planeta. Muchas gracias.
You never cease to amaze me dude you are awesome
Turning failures into steps toward success. ur amazing ❤ brothers
Best way to learn is from failures. At first i was thinking how were you gonna preserve the pattern in a knife, then i saw it would be a pizza cutter
Thank you for showing us the failures too. That is educational.
You never fail until youve given up sometimes things dont allways work out but eventually they do with abit of patience
Failures are just stops on the journey of learning.
Amazing Craftsmanship 👍🏻👍🏽👍🇬🇧🇬🇧
Love from Gujarat ❤

Great forge welding. I must have missed the part when the damascus got cut, folded over and layered.
