- Performance data on the new Mercury 115 Pro XS. Prop: 13-3/4" 17P three blade aluminum. Boat is a Tuffy 1760 - a composite deep V musky boat. 1400 lbs. dry weight, minimal gas and equipment.
I have a 21 rb190 that does 48. It is a center console. Factory setup.
I have similar performances with my Yamaha F115 running 13x19 Alu prop on my Kingfisher Warrior Sport 1825. but I feel like I could get better performance out of my setup... I don't know if Stainless is too heavy for 115hp... this engine power range is hard to correctly prop!
When you going to trim it out
Jsut got a ranger 1682 with a 115 and wanted to see speeds. By the way Is this video on crab lake presque isle wi?? Our family friends have a cabin there lol
Haha maybe. (That’s why I’m running an aluminum prop). You should go faster than me, but 42 is all I need. Hope to see you up there!
Got mine up to 51 three adults in a 2017 range RB190 bay boat
Dewey Desselle you're a little lighter at 1150 lbs. I'm a glass boat 1400#, 3 blade aluminum prop.
@@schasles I have a 16.5' crestliner sport fish at 6-7K of elevation. Thinking about putting one of these on mine instead of buying a new boat. Any guess what speed I might hit at those elevations?
@@schasles 54 what? Mph? You must have the fastest 115 mercury in the whole universe.
@@schasles nobody else seems to be able to do that, including myself, so yes thats what i am thinking and thats what i am saying. Take a quick video of your speed run
@UCYzF_TaFhqcus0Kt-Lv48fA no worries mate my day will be wonderful if it stops raining so I can go and do 54 mph with my xspro 115.
I hear after the rain water is less dense and more slippery, I will possibly do 55 MPH, 56 if i wax the hull maybe more if i dont wear a hat. Gee. Sky is the limit it seems.
I will keep yo posted. Cheers.
Well if you and dewey say so then obviously physics laws no longer apply.
You should put the trim up. And next time u go on ur boat film it
Trim was up. I might have had a tiny bit left, but it doesn’t take much for this setup to break loose if you go too much.
I am putting the same motor on under 1200 lb aluminium Lund, I am hoping to hit 45 mph.
I don’t know my weight off hand, but it’s 17.5’ of fiberglass with an aluminum prop.
Best of luck!
