The 12 pin connector typically use for power supply in here we need only 4 pins. Pin number 5, 6, 7, 8. Pin 5 was positive 5Volt input and pin 7 was positive 12Volt input. 6 and 8 are grounds. So the simple way to identify the pin if you have 12pin sata to 4pin molex connector or take old SMPS sata power connector that you can see 4 wires 2 black wires and 1 red and 1 yellow the most of the SMPS are coming the same voltage identify colour the red wire was 5v dc and yellow was 12v dc the 2 black wires are grounds. If you was connecting laptop hard disk or SSD it only need 5v if you want connect dvd writer or 3.5 desktop HDD it want more power to spin the disk so it need 12v power supply you can use 2 Amps Adaptor to work smoothly NOTE :- dvd or Desktop HDD want both power supply at same time 5v and 12v 👍 any doubt just tell me
@@imadesaci4928 bro actually that board was I get in my friend give it to me because that board was broken. If you find that board (it was 2.5 hard disk board) that means it only support 2.5 hard disk or dvd writer like laptop's drive. But in this video I was converted that 2.5 board to 3.5 that means desktop HDD or dvd writer or ect. The only difference between 2.5 and 3.5 is the 3.5 need extra power supply like 12v and also need 5v at the same time. But 2.5 only need 5v that's why it was low price. There I only I showing how to connect the power supply. I was solder that sata and sata power connector because the old one was broken and also I need to add 12v 👍 if I made a video which language are you prefer 😊
Bro if you have a sata to USB converter that only thing was to make this I was using 2.5 sata converter that not actually work in dvd reader because that have only 5v supply but the dvd want 5v and 12v at same time so I was added a 2.5 sata converter board and 12v adaptor it's work also you can connect this at any 3.5 sata support products but also 3.5 adaptor available in our market but the price was to expensive 🫰 so I make this I was used the same method that 3.5 converter using. 🥴 Bro if have small budget then you buy 2.5 converter, sata power supply connecter, and 12v 1amp adaptor, total cost around you have 700rs to 800rs but if you have old adaptor or 2.5 convert that's make the price lower. If you have money then buy 3.5 converter that's also coming with a charger to total price around 3000rs 🥴 if you was planning to connect old Sata HDD that's want more ampere adaptor 3ampere is good performance giving but price was some increase you was only planing to dvd reader then 1 ampere is enough 🙂any doubt I am here 🤙
Sorry for the delay reply bro😞 busy Life Anyway bro USB and sata direct connect cheyan pattilla because usbil 4 wires annu varunnath (red+/black-/white Data+/Green Data-) but sata cableil 7 pins varunnund athil 3 ennam ground annu baki olla 4 ennam data transfer nu ollathanu Ground - Pin 1 Transmit Data- (TD-) - Pin 2 Transmit Data+ (TD+) - Pin 3 Ground - Pin 4 Receive Data- (RD-) - Pin 5 Receive Data+ (RD+) - Pin 6 Ground - Pin 7 So oru converter evide avisham annu because sata provide cheyunna signal alla usb provide cheyunnath. I don't think that 😅 I was not found a good song in RUclips audio library 😅
You are not explaining well how to do the wiring for the 12 power would you explain that or provide a diagram than you.
