I would seek validation unconsciously from others until I realized I’m basing my excitement on someone elses feelings or reactions who wasn’t gifted with that vision like I was. I stopped “venting” to others and sharing all my struggles while “struggling” when I realized all vents go into different rooms and some rooms don’t want to enjoy the clean fresh air I provide. Since I was a teen…my other teen friend told me”don’t ever tell no one how much money u have, not even me” at almost 40….I still stand on that per her request
This was confirmation for me to shut my mouth. I get so excited and start sharing with others about my progress and the things that I find joy in. Recently I mentioned that I would start going all in on my youtube channel and content creation to my sister who I live with. Why did she change the Wifi password? I couldn't connect to the internet one night. I thought she couldn't pay the bill so I paid it. Only to find out she changed the password and had done so because she wanted me to pay it. No communication beforehand, she just impulsively did that. My heart was hurt cause she knows that's how I make my bread. I also watch my niece for free when she needs it, which I thought was in exchange for the single bill, the internet bill, that we didn't split. Nope! Not anymore. I promised myself that from this day forward I would come up with a new plan for my future and no one would have input. Me and my journal are becoming besties again. Thank you for this!
