THE VILLAGE HOUSE - PALAWAN

A tropical architectural masterpiece in a laid-back village on Wescom Road in Puerto Princesa. This house is a testament to the versatility and endless creative possibilities of bamboo as a construction material.
Built in 2009 by a Dutch-Filipino designer, the whole house (not just a room in it) is currently rented out to tourists to raise funds for a soup kitchen for undernourished children living in the village where it stands. Guests are also welcome to personally take part in this project by helping out during the feeding program or by extending a modest contribution.
The house features:

bedroom with comfy queen bed (extra beds possible)

toilet and bath with high-end fixtures
pantry with refrigerator
garden with flowering plants
RATES: PHP 2,000 to PHP 2,500 per night (for two persons)

Beautiful house, but insects can fly right in! How about rodents? It looks really nice, but I'm not sure I could live in it.
