Haitian here, but live in Atlanta! Looking to leave America very soon! There are very good and very bad areas of the Atlanta metro. Alpharetta, Johns Creek, Dunwoody, Sandy Springs, Brookhaven, are all good and safe cities. Buckhead is affluent, but is notorious for robberies and break ins. Avoid, most of Stone Mountain, Bankhead, And pretty much most of the south side of Atlanta. The farther out you are from Atlanta (Inside of the perimeter of I-285, it can get a little racist. - Duluth has a large Korean Community. - Lawrenceville has the largest Haitian community is the metro - Brookhaven/ Chamblee and most of Gwinnett county has a large Mexican community - Jamaicans are pretty much all over the metro. - Indians are mostly in Dunwoody - Nigerians, Ethiopians are mostly in Dekalb and Gwinnett! Black African American culture is rich and vibrant here!! Enjoy your stay!! ❤️

Southwest Atlanta is nice. Anything near the Beltline. We socialize at places like Monday Night Brewery (West End) and Atlantic Station. I grew up driving up/down I-75 from Miami to St. Pete and Atlanta.

Young folks like to hang out in Sweet Auburn and Edgewood which is MLK's old neighborhood. There are so many places for young black folks to socialize in Atlanta. It nothing like Florida. You are correct it is the Black Mecca.

Alley has much to offer that most Americans don’t know about. It is booming and many businesses are thriving. Near US/Mexico border but most residents speak English. or bilingual. The Gulf of Mexico is 45 min drive from McAllen area where I lived near family.

A road game me and my siblings played on very long road trips was to see who could spot and call out license plates from the highest number of different states.
My sister, just a little update,America is one massive country, 52 states and nearly and most states are different in life style. Just one small information in some states like parts of New York you have gas attendant that clean windshields and put in gas. You can’t go to one state and say generalized American. Just say where you are.
I guess one has to learn how to pump their own gas. Because I have never done it. Don’t even get out of the car when getting gas. No idea if I were alone what I would press
Am a Field Service Worker who travels from State to State, been to 21 States so far, i can give you pros and cons for all those but writing here is tedious 😅.

First of all there are only 50 states in the US, not 52 as you claimed in your comments so you've to get that right.
