Hear me out guys: hunt Zapdos in route 10, is the route near Power Plant (where Zapdos is supposed to be). I found it in just 1 hour. Lore route > Shiny route

I’ve encountered Zapdos twice at route 6 right above vermillion. Sadly, couldn’t catch it, as first time I was hunting growlithe with weak pokemon, but the second time I came back “ready” with 50+ nest balls 20 ultra balls 67 lvl Venasaur to make it go to sleep for like 40-50 times but at the end Zapdos hit itself with recoil and that’s that.. my question is which pokeball do you use to catch it, as I felt like it’s becoming impossible and almost went for my master ball?
Damn I've used 900 leppas in berry forest since the start of the month. Still no moltres, every other roaming I got within maybe 4/5 hours. This flaming chicken giving me ptsd. At least I've made millions on the payday/pickup and got a nice shiny hypno in the process 😂
I got shiny abra in a duo horde, unfortunately my second pokemon was bad and wasn't even able to OHKO an Oddish, I Spored Abra and was scared to see him awaken second turn. I had luck he didn't awake. I throw a master ball anyways LOL ! I didn't know if quick ball was 100% catch rate... Shiny Abra with 31 IV sp Atk too ! Was happy 🥴
Quick ball is only boosted the very first turn of the encounter. So it doesn't work on hordes since you have to kill the other pokemon. You did the right thing.
I am acutally hunting for Articuno at route 3 because I like the shinies there the most. I'd love a shiny Nidoking/queen, Arbok or Jigglypuff. I am not even going for Charmander there.
ye you essentially get 1 shiny check a month, if u find a legend and its not shiny and u run from it to try to re-encounter it, the one u re-encounter will be the same exact legend (AKA it cant be shiny the 2nd time if it wasnt the first)

Diglet/dugtrio should have their ability at level 1 but it could be sand veil or arena trap, so u might need to pay 35k for an ability pill or just buy a dugtrio with arena trap already on it which might be cheaper. Hope this helps!

It's still very risky. Considering shinies are the rarest thing in the game, using a masterball is valid for any shiny. I would not risk the chance of losing that Abra even tho with the quick ball I'll most likely catch it.
There's no shiny counter reset. It's not like other games where it lets you get a pity shiny after X amount of encounters. It's all just random, so to answer your question, no, it does not because there's no counter.

I'm hunting in ruin valley with Payday, it's not a lot of money per hour but contrary to gym rerun I can stop whenever, or do it for 5 min on a break

You cant breed legendaries and you cant get OT on mons you dont have registered as CAUGHT OT in your pokedex
