gotta say, your content got me back into the game and I’ve really been doing well. completed my second region and halfway through my third, bred a 1x31 adamant breloom with 20+ in all other stats for catching, and I’ve bred one of my top PVP mons, Staraptor, with 3x31 (atk, hp, spe) with 20+ in defenses and HA for only 150k. like seriously, your content made this game so much more approachable and fun, thanks. p.s. gotta love the dude at 11:03 with a vaporeon saying “Did you know…” that gave me ptsd
I don't play that regularly and I actually have never made a gym rerun team lol. Seeing its roughly 100k to make a budget team is pretty cool, might actually make one like this when I pick the game up again. Thanks!
Update: 9 months later I finally got around to making a gym rerun team, was able to make 2 cyndaquils 1x31, 1x30 for pretty cheap, under 100k (I had some untradeable everstones so that also helped). I have EV trained both Typhlosions and I am now currently levelling up both of them up. Got the Torkoal and Whimsicott ready too.
hey just wanted to let you know that i think murkrow with its hidden ability makes it 10x better than cottonee since murkrow can learn fly and tailwind while still having prankster which negates the use of having to buy a fly ocarina
ooo that is quite good, if it can learn memento as well (cant remember off the top of my head) that would definitely make it objectively better unless im missing something.

I bought Cyndas some time ago for gym reruns obv and I'm actually wondering whether waiting for Johto isn't better now? I suppose Johto will make Cyndas cheaper and easier to catch etc. but I might be talking about pennies lmao
Great video pat! May I suggest to make a supplemental video to this one that has a gym run routed for the cyndaquil strat? It would help people who don't have any other rerun pokemon to avoid the flashfire and it would really compliment this video thank you!
@@CrashinAsh nimbasa and pewter have a 50% flash fire chance, but as long as u have ANY other level 100 in the back u should be able to deal with them, but ye if u dont have ANY other level 100 u could just skip them temporarily, maybe could weave in some rich trainers to fill the time!
Excelent video man! I just made my Cyndaquils and now I am leveling them up. Just one thing that was accorgin to plan. I tried twice evolving a Cottonee with Sun Stone to get the Tailwind but both times none of the abilities changed so I had to purchase one with it. Did I miss something?
@@patrouski Oh no, it was my bad, by ability I meant the "attacks". For some reason it never appeared to me asking to select a move to be replaced by Tailwind and such. Don't know what I did wrong.

The ability will stay the same, but you will get tailwind, sorry if that wasnt clear!
