Same experience, at first wasn't sold but they grew on me and got it now and sounds incredible. Overall immaculate execution this band, top tier metal(core)! The future's secured with a band like this. Love this sound.

As a vocalist, out of all the metal singers doing a similar thing (going from super clean to screaming/fry to gutteral), her abilities impress me the most because of the way she utilizes her voice live and how she maintains power in the low register (like you, I HAVE TO sing in the high register or I will be drowned out). I think from a non-singer's perspective, Courtney isn't as impressive as some others because people don't get how super difficult it is to go from her more quiet low-register clean vocals to screaming in a fry where you hear her natural voice. Most screaming singers go from clean to gutteral "cookie monster" because it's the easiest way to do it. She goes clean to fry to gutteral to clean as if it's nothing.
For me it's noah, his range is so incredibly ridiculous and he pulls them off just as well and sometimes even better live. I'd love a collaboration between the two of them.

You should check out Vintersea for another great clean/harsh female vocalist. Amazing band!
I saw them play this alive a week and a half ago as well and her performance in Holy Roller was incredible. Not my favorite song of there but goddamn she was a beast.
She is definitely my favorite vocalist currently. Right up there all time with Chino. Another female who really impresses me more and more and is Maria from Future Palace.

@@Gunsarepeople Really excited for a new album from them. I loved Run but never really listened to their first album Escape until a few months ago and I love that one as well. Even though there aren't any screams and the songs aren't as heavy overall, I really love it a lot also. Her cleans are just as good as her growls.
I saw them debut this song in concert about a week and a half ago. They are really good live and Courtney is as impressive as Tati in person, even though stylistically they are different. I feel like this is a mix of some of their earlier stuff with the more recent sound. It has the little details to keep you off balance and coming back to pick them all out, yet a catchy enough chorus to hook you in right away.
Another female vocalist who is killing it when it comes to harsh vocals is Yasmine from a new deathcore band called Face Yourself. They've put out 2 EPs already this year and are recording more stuff now. Death Reflection is my recommendation to start, but any of their music videos are worth checking out.
Spiritbox is def one of my top 5 fav band! After listening to this song makes me really exited for the upcoming new music in november!! Also if you enjoy sad, emotional, heavy and beautiful designed music videos you should def check out Invent Animate if you don´t already have. I would start with "Without a Whisper" and "Heavener". Or if you are up for some more heavier; "Elysium" or "False Meridian"
