Alta! Alta! Alta! We're not worthy 😱 Alta at 558'' snow this year heading to over 600'' putting it in the Very Good Year category. This only looks shabby after last years once-in-200 year dump of 900''.
Hey Jeff - it's easy to remember the pronunciation: I took my friend HAL up to a high ALtitude where we met a GAL named SAL and started to HOWL when we saw an OWL, thanks for being a PAL!
Since you guys follow the world cup races: the early races in Sölden are a topic every year in the German speaking alpine countries. The reason that often gets given is that the early race is such good advertising that it kickstarts ski, snowboard and hotel night sales for the season. Have you guys ever talked with european colleagues or brand representatives if that actually is the case? I feel like the shift of seasons and colder temperatures are much more impactful on that than the Sölden SL and GS...
I think Soelden race is more like a tradition, an emblem of the start of the season. Unfortunately, here in Europe we have less snow last couple of years and it is very risky to start so early. Sounds logical about the kick start of vacation reservations, although I am not sure it has a real application. The lack of snow is making it very hard to book accommodation so early. Personally, I will most probably look at high altitude resorts only in future.
Loved watching Emily ski at Alta....She is so smooth and just rips!
Target audience hahahaha

It was funny talking to the skiers who were there last year--that's all they could think about!

Where's the in-depth and updated binding comparison promised at the beginning of the season? Amer sports ask for it not to be posted or something?
No malice here--just a long list of content to get through! Do you have any specific questions about a binding we can help with?
Enjoyed your Salomon ski review at Alta, brought back memories from skiing at Alta years ago. I am now thinking about skiing there next ski season.
You should!

We don't often deal with european colleagues outside of product-specific instances, but it does seem like the season is shifting and more volatile.

Could we see a video on the armada ARV 2025s?
We certainly are looking forward to putting those together!
