As someone who grew up competing in mogul skiing, then transitioned to park and freeride (important to note that when NS refers to freeride they’re referring to big mountain competition style skiing ie. the Freeride world tour). I would argue that anywhere out west, the most popular “all mountain” skis fall in the 95-105 range. That seems to be over 50% of the skis I see at the hill (Lake Louise 30 days a year, hardly the snowiest hill by any means). Also important to note that newschoolers does not sell skis, they’re simply making recommendations for all mountain skis for people who do spend a considerable amount of time in the park.
Always look forward to your channel Elliot. Your presentation style in these videos IS your brand. Don’t change a thing! Greatly respect you for your balance and thoroughness.
Speaking of skis that haven't changed in a long time like the Enforcer 100, I wish someone could do a review of the Volkl Katana V Werks, another ski that has been around forever. Although that is a harder ski to demo.
I think you're videos are fair and pretty balanced. I'm a Tahoe skier - I hate chatter. I have the 96 ripstick blacks 180, they ski short and chatter, hate em. I have the stance 90 188. They are a bit uninspiring and ski directional so I can't off piste much. Wondering if I should hunt for deals to build a 2 ski quiver - a la year old kendo 88, atomic 88ti and a qst 98 (but they chatter) or even something longer. Or go for a 1 ski quiver given my ability and budget. Basically, I won't be able to hit crazy pow (work 9-5, ski fri-sundays). Tahoe thaws and freezes and I realized I'm a groomer guy but also really, really enjoy tree skiing. I'm considering rustler 9's, or 10's, but the hype around M7 gets me...but thinking I might wanna go for a front side and a backside ski. Suggestions?
I love the kendo 88 from trying them last year. One of my favourite skis of the year. I would have bought them but got the m7 instead. Yet to ski them. I also liked the elan wingman 88 ti for carving frontside in various conditions.. I’m skiing the Sakana and an old soul 7 for powder. I also ski a deacon 76 for my frontside days. Get the kendo and a fatter ski to suit your powder days depending what you want from it( hard charge or playful and surfy)
I picked up a pair of Bent 110s on sale based on your comments. Will be testing them for the first time in Japan this season. 🤞 Do you have any thoughts on the new Anomaly series from Blizzard? The 94 seems very intriguing to me.
I agree with your first point. I got the armada arv 94s for $200!!! When the 2025s go for 2x more. Also by free riding he meant cliff hucking extreme terrain etc… look up the free ride world tour (FWT) it’s so sick that’s the most true to skiing sport I’ve ever watched
5-7 East Coast ski destinations. My vote; Killington VT for it's size and nightlife. Jay Peak VT for it's snow and tree skiing. Pick your conditions though. Stowe VT for the all around experience. Sugarloaf in Maine for size and diversity. Gore Mountain, NY for glades (better pick your day well). Whiteface, NY for steep groomers Okemo VT for blue square groomers (for Dad?) Bonus pick: Mad River Glen VT on a powder dump! Honestly to many interesting resorts to list. Skiing is all about the snow and the friends. You can have a great time anywhere you have those two together.
Vermont 24/25 - Jay Peak and Killington for terrain, Stowe for atmosphere / town, Sugarbush for trees, Okemo and Smugglers for cruising and families, Mount Snow for park... that's the top 7 imo
New Schoolers is hugely popular with 20 year old keyboard warriors that spend at least half their time in the park. Can be a tough crowd, but they are passionate! Good list. I’d add Sugarbush in VT and Wildcat in NH which has an incredible view of Tucks and Mt. Washington. Love Burke!
Picked up a pair of Maverick 88 TIs for myself (on your recommendation!) and Maven 86Cs for my girlfriend for $375 and $200 respectively, felt like a steal! Can't wait to try them! Thinking maybe I'll leave the Mavericks in the plastic until Thanksgiving, do a demo with day with them (having never skied them before), and then I'd have the option to re-sell them new if for whatever reason it doesn't resonate as much as I hope. One question: you often talk about them as a great daily driver in Idaho - what about an east coast daily driver? Would you go narrower for all the hardpack days?
I don't get how changing the lengths. construction and rocker profiles in 2021 makes the Enforcer unchanged for 10 years? They did it with the 93 too. Both ski differently from their predecessors, just like the 99 does now. Based on your logic, the Brahma, Experiences, and Bents are all the same ski too over 10 years also?
Thanks for watching! Hope everyone has a great weekend!

I always buy last year skis. I find unbelievable deals.
It's better than ski swaps in my experience!
$400 Kendos vs $750 Mantra 88s? No brainer.
Appreciate the awesome content and you truly sharing your opinion. Really great stuff.

Hope you love them, no Blizzard and Nordica have been dodging me, so I haven't been able to get my hands on them.

Scored a pair of Rossi Exp 86ti with bindings shipped for 445. There are some great deals out there if you look.

In early Jan I would stick to northern VT resorts. Plus Killington for that East Coast Bump F*g vibe. Outer Limits!!

Those 88’s should work for you.
Whole Enforcer line sucks.
