I assume Huda is creating a scarcity mindset with her “no more large palette” announcement. It’ll move this palette, and then when she does inevitably release a big palette again there will be a whole marketing push around “you asked/we’re doing it - super limited quantities!”
Reminds me of when she discontinued one of her earlier palettes, only to shortly thereafter bring it back in new packaging to match the newer ones, but of course never mentioning that it would be coming back so that people would panic buy the old stock before the revamped version came out
Imo, Icy Nude is the first “wearable” cool-toned ever since the cool tones trend came back. Like, it’s truly cool-toned but it’s also got warm-leaning neutral shades in it. Now, if I don’t already have her Rose Quartz, I’d totally buy it. Finger crossed it gets more than 30% off next year I’ll snatch it
The ND Roxa palette is so pretty and I'm so tempted, but I just can't justify buying it. Between Love and Retro, I just feel like there's enough overlap that I just don't need it, especially when I'm not using palettes much at the moment. I'm also tempted by the Patrick Ta duos, but, again, I just don't feel like I need them, and I don't think I'd use them much if I had one. The holiday palettes I'll probably have the hardest time resisting are the UD Star palette (the one that's available at Mecca at the moment) and the Dior Backstage Celestial Purple palette (which I probably actually will buy because it's so pretty and I do think I'd use it more than most of my other palettes).
I don’t believe Huda won’t make a large palette again, not for a second. That being said all the looks people are creating with the Icey Nude are all really pretty! I’m not interested in it, but it’s pretty non the less.
yeah we're old, but also we don't have the same trend for the stanley cup the people in the states do - we have kinda knock offs from Kmart if you're interested, but otherwise, it's another way to have a LOT of a drink in a big-ass travel mug xD I bought a Squishee travel cup that is reminiscent from Simpsons from Typo and it's plenty big enough LOL
I don’t think ELF’s photos do those eyeshadows justice. I saw someone swatch them on the eye and compare to the UD ones and they looked much more similar than those boring arm swatches.
@@KitschSnitch I’m going to pick one up. Never got one of the UD ones because I’m not an everyday sparkle girl but I like it occasionally. I’ve been scraping at the pan of an old dried up Colourpop Ritz but I’ll be happy to replace it with something I am get here without placing an order including overseas shipping!
I’m sorry to rain on your parade…I got the one that is the “space cowboy” and it is not even close. I would save your money and wait for the moon dust to go on sale❤and I LOVE elf btw
@@KitschSnitch understandable! I have combo skin like you and have seen so many reviews state that you can use a miracle balm as a base before applying the “WTF” foundation. (And ignore moisturizer prior?!) I bought products on a whim (my bad!) I just don’t have the balls to try them together. I almost have my skin clear at the moment and it has taken a few months to get here! The reviews on this brand is so 50/50!
I am wondering if the factory she makes large ones in is same factory alter ego uses so she is convinced they are helping. I’ve seen that her 9 pans are different factory so that could be it.
They definitely aren’t closing. They restructured a bit and closed their sister brands to focus on Huda Beauty, but I think they’re going to go from strength to strength
@@KitschSnitch The makeup trend from the 90s that I wish could be criticized back to the hell it came from is dark lip pencil combined with beige lipstick. Can anyone explain why this is so popular? Frosty can be cute, just look at Buffy, but looking like you have forgotten to wipe your mouth after drinking hot chocolate, not at all. The ombre effect people are doing now don't look any better, and gloss doesn't help.
The icy look back in the 90's and early 2000's was something! I remember liking it back then to a certain extent, but a few years past the trend I questioned our collective tastes cause that ish did not look good. Im against its comeback lol.
I’ve never tried Lisa Eldridge lipstick but I’m sure they’re lovely! However is anyone else seeing golden tampon when you look at her new ones or just me?
@@wombatlittle1 I know a lot of people say that about them. Last Christmas they had the white packaging with different pinks and reds dripping from the top, they were quite menstrual! But Lisa’s even have the ridges and a swollen shape. At least the MAC lipsticks are sleek.
I have similar opinion on the Patrick Ta duo, they do look nice, and they are pricey but i dont mind it. I dont understand why people are going nuts on the price. They are just make up.
You really don’t understand why people think the price is too high for 2 shades.? Let me explain, not everyone makes the same amount of money and to some that is a lot of money. Since it is just makeup others may think the money is better spent on groceries or other necessities.
I'm on the same boat. Patrick Ta has always been a higher high end brand. Yes they are expensive, but as Kat put it they're are on par with other higher end brands. Singles and duos are almost always more expensive per gram than a full 10+ shade eye shadow pallette. Hell, PT pallette are $70 USD so this really should not be a shock to followers of the brand. Eyeshadows are very dupable as well so you aren't missing out too hard if you find something similar elsewhere.
Yeah, I'm sceptical that Huda will never ever do another big ass palette again...
Those earrings are everything

I might check out the Huda icy nude palette. Those mid tone lighter colors appeal to me. I don’t wear super pigmented or dark shadows anymore.
😊❤
Your earrings 😍

I thought you were jokey when you said there is a shade called Wishy Washy in the Colourpop palette....nope I see it now 🤣🤣
At least they are self aware haha 🤣
Hi Kat! Have you tried Jones Road Beauty? (Bobbi Brown’s not-so-newish line).
Hi! No I haven't. I do want to try one of their miracle balms, but it's a brand I would want to see in person before placing an order.

Does anyone know when ND Roxa will be available in Australia?
Oct 24 - so already out apparently, but I can’t see it on the Sephora site 😅
@@KitschSnitch yeah I've been checking Sephora every day
I heard that Huda Beauty was winding up? Would explain this being the last big palette, and the significant reduction in restocks and new releases.

Mate, I actually love the Colourpop Frosty collection hahaha please don't judge me 🙊
Enjoy it! Some people really suit frosty makeup!

I assume Huda isn't making a ton of money off her big eyeshadow palettes, or she wouldn't be getting rid of them.
The Patrick Ta eyeshadows are apparently having issues shattering and breaking off entirely from their pans
I’ll seen that from one pr video. Hard to tell if it’s an issue yet since they’ve just launched ☺️
