i find it so cute. kenji knew in the beginning, but it’s not over. the relationship just started and I find it amazing they find aid in each other. just because darius and brooklynn isn’t happening doesn’t mean people get to hate on a relationship that is. i’m just personally happy with whatever goes. it’s a good show, and I hope they get off and back into their lives
For all the people saying Darius cares more about the dinosaurs more than his friends and people in general, remember the reason why he wants help dinosaurs is because his father and him had the dream to go to Jurassic world together, he does it in honor for his father. He does care about his friends too, he just hasn’t really let his father go yet.

Tiff and Mitch had a boat to get off the island, so they were useful. Plus communications to send help. Had they not been psychos clearly could have helped the kids. Also, Darius plan C, worked, most of his plans work if the group follows them.
Yaz getting annoyed by dinosaurs has nothing to do with Darius love for them.
Kenji’s “put the group first” comment was because he lacks in mature thinking and more to do with him liking Brooklynn.
WU’s laptop literally had the tools to create mass destruction hence why he traveled all the way to the island to retrieve it and Kenji selfishly hands him the tools to do it. Yes saving friends is great but not at the expense of the world…
Kenji literally has put Darius in charge because Kenji couldn’t handle the pressure. Darius never asked to be leader he was made one. Also, the main reason that all those kids are still a live. You act like this is all on Darius, he is a singular kid thrust upon himself and the group to secure everyone’s safety. That isn’t right either.

The group was very much separated at that time of Mitch and Tiff, so coming up with a plan wasn’t the easiest yet Darius is the only one that does. The boat also didn’t get them to safety just to another dinosaur infested island and they still were able to get on it and sail away.
The dead triceratops that Darius found was very much defenseless. That would include most of the other dinosaurs on the island as well.
Killing for sport is also fucked up.

Exaggerate much. Times that Darius saved the Dino’s that could impact his friend’s security that I can remember.
Blue, Pierce (which when his friends lives were in danger chose them over Pierce) Baryonox was more Sammy than Darius, the gyro-sphere was Brooklynn AND Darius and the doom was by a sink hole than the actual dino. That same dino was the one that saved them along with Sammy’s calming aide.
How he became leader is everything… hahahaha
You used the general reference who has over two decades worth of military experience before being appointed to that position vs a kid who is learning on the fly that didn’t choose said position nor wants it. Darius responsibility is to keep his friends alive? He has done that and more. It is also to get them off the island which they eventually will.

Darius jumped into a raptor pen to save Kenji being idiot, was the only one to try to help Ben carry Bumpy while Pterosaurs were about to attack, countless times against Toro and the Indominus rex he used himself as a distraction so his friends could get to safety, on the train was the first to choose to go on top to get to the other cart, was the only one to jump and try to save Ben from falling (literally no one else helped in that situation), with the creepy tech dude, Darius sacrificed himself for his friends… so how is he wimpy???? LOL I could go on …
How is this all on Darius either???? He is a singular kid, do none of the others have voices to object, or do they just know that usually Darius is right.

One of my favorite lines of Kenji is when Kenji and Brooklyn are in the Kayak in season 1 and Kenji says to Brooklyn “is there anyway you could make Sammy feel more worse than she already does.” That line is one of the sweetest and realest things I’ve ever heard.
Personally, I think Brooklynn had some feelings for Darius at first, but yeah, Darius cared more about dinosaurs than humans, he lost his chance which turned out to be Kenji’s who then began to learn the importance of caring about his friends in season 2(thanks to Yaz the legend lol).
Actually No, When it came to those hunters the only person who was by her side was kenji. Ofcourse he didnt want to go with the rich people but he Also couldnt leave her alone all sad so he was being ”the one” to cheer her on and then she was doing the same and BOOM! Romance

These are clips taken out of context, of course they will look like it. It hurts that you left out Kenji getting Brooklynn to cool off about Sammy when they were in the CKK. It was meaningful that he actually was the one to tell her something so adult and level-headed, and it seemed to really impress her. That was the first moment she seemed to realize there was more underneath his glib facade. I also loved her later admitting that Kenji was right about that and bemoaning how wrong it felt to have to say that.

I accepted the ship after the series season 4 because even though I felt it came out of nowhere, it was mostly because I forgot that these scenes existed due to the season release date schedule so makes it hard to remember some stuff, and also the scenes with Darius and Brooklyn really took up a lot of the seasons at best for me….

I just started watching this show so I’m late to the party. But when I watched season 1, I feel like the writers were trying to set up Darius and Brooklyn, but by the end of season 2, and seeing Kenji and Brooklyn interact more, I knew it was gonna be the two of them instead. Their interactions felt so natural, and they related a lot to each other because they didn’t interact with people their own age growing up. They didn’t have normal childhoods like the other campers. Their relationship was built off of trust and comfort

I'm a 23 year old woman and LOVE this show. I watch it with my babies who also love the show! Never knew brooklyn was voiced by Jenna Ortega. Mind blown
I see some people say that Darius cares more about dinosaurs then his friends, and I would like to point out why that is a bit untrue.
First is that one of Darius’s goals from the very beginning has been to get the others home, safe and sound. He even says this multiple times each season, and it’s clear that he prioritizes their survival, sometimes over his own, such as when he tries to do things on his own.
Second is every time he goes to help the dinosaurs, he doesn’t force any of the camp fam to help him. In fact, he attempts to push them away multiple times, like in season 2 with the game hunters, and season 3 with the Scorpios Rex. His friends CHOOSE to help him.
Lastly is that in season 4, Darius prioritizes calling for help over a life threatening fight between Pearce and the T-Rex.
I feel like at first they never intended to get Kenji and Brooklyn together but that just makes their relationship more natural. Besides, they were very different people 4 seasons ago.
