This was a project that I kind of just started out of nowhere and then ended up enjoying the process so much I managed to grind this whole level out in 11 days (taking less time than the long walk home too). I am very happy with how this level turned out, even though it had a lot of issues to fix. I had to build this level in parts then have Deactive merge everything together because the editor DOES NOT like long levels sadly. Hopefully robtop can also help fix the sync issue caused by the player slowing down after around 13 minutes causing a lot of sync issues. In the end, I'm glad this is done, see you all in like 3 months again.

I can't overstate how brilliant this is. The first extreme I've ever seen that, skillwise, is completely accessible. The bulk of this is approachable to anybody who can handle easy and medium demons. But completing the whole thing would still be an astonishing feat, and the song is just perfectly paced to go with a level like this, and making the end the hardest is cruel, yet fitting, and the triple spike to round it all off. Quite possibly a candidate for my favourite level in the game, this is truly a GD milestone. If this doesn't get a legendary rate, I give up.

Fun fact: at the beginning it says welcome with an extra italic line on the o. Universally, when you put a double twist on the italicized lowercase o it means it's a lie, telling you at the level that you're not really welcome. Since I realized this, every time I see the welcome when restarting the level, I get a small feeling of fear.

Years ago I was obsessed with this song and vowed to make a level for it. I imagined every part I was going to make and the story I would bring. None of that happened as I got busy with high school. This song to me is beyond nostalgic, it represents a part of my life that I can't return to. Seeing that someone has finally made a level of it brings me joy. There may be better levels and much better gd songs out there, but this single level will always be one of the most meaningful ones to me.

Yeah when I first saw this I was like "oh cool a long gd level, but then I was like I'll play this in practice and wow... One of my favorite gd levels, it's just the atmosphere, the song, the deco, everything combined just makes it that perfect gd level that you just cant get over how good it is. It feels like going back through your past and remembering you entire life, the highs and lows, the good and the bad, the happiness and sadness that injects through every part is unlike any level I've ever seen, causing a sense of dread and crisis. I want to make a review of this so bad

Played this today, didnt finish the practice run, this is my favourite level in the entire game. Great job on this, you absolutely nailed it.
Honestly, when I first clicked on the video I thought I was just gonna click off in a few minutes out of boredom but.. no. I didn't. This level IS FUCKING SPECTACULAR!!!!!
Even if the level is almost an hour long, every part almost feels not just like its own theme but its own *level* in and of itself, and even though they all feel like they have some sort of separate identity from each other they also converge into an absolute masterpiece of a level.
My personal favorite parts are at 50:20 and 53:15 just before the level ends and they suit the end of the level absolutely PERFECTLY. Even if all of the parts were super super good already the fact that you didn't put in less effort or make things sloppy near the end (in fact, I'd almost say you did the opposite-) is just absolutely INSANE
I could go on and on for like 20 minutes about this level's quality, features, designs, patterns and everything but I think to get the full picture you just need to see it with your own eyes.. and yes I actually watched the whole 55(ish) minute video haha-

The vibe of this level is... unexplainable... Who even made this song... Why did they make this song? The gameplay, the styles, the endlessness... It's all... beautiful in a way...
The song, atleast for me, sounds like its going trough the life of someone. Like it seems its representing every single age until the very end, wich sounds really sad representing the end of life (death). Beautiful song, can be interpreted in many many ways.
The ending really connects with me somehow. It's unexplainable.
according to cacola, the song is supposed to be a musical depiction of the events of undertale, and "the angel" is a fitting name for the player can choose to be one of either death or life and happiness. it is meant to work with either ending so despite it being based off of a game i still find the song to be interpretable in many ways
Nah this all is insane, I cant believe I watched it all, it felt like a movie. Not only creating this all is wild, the decorations, the sync all this stuff, but you also have to beat it and this is like spectacular

Can't you split the level up into segments and have the player teleport back to x=0 (the beginning) but to a new segment each time to reduce sync issues? (And I'm not sure if he can fix these issues as this is all down to floating point precision loss unless he makes a patch to reduce the effect of it)

@@renn2418 recently i learned all of the wave parts have this teleport function disabled so the trail doesnt disappear and youre so evil for the amount of wave parts in this level

The level being quite empty actually fits in the theme so well, if you think about it.
Its like Liminal Spaces, the song has Happy and Sad Slow Parts, the level fits into those, maintaining a feeling of the level being endless.

@@MelloRoadToMaster the endurance it takes for it def makes it compete with hardest insane demons like icdx and the gameplay at the end is actually like medium demon for 5 minutes which def boosts it considering you had to play for 50 minutes to get there. I also wouldn't claim anyone can beat it in one attempt

Okay so I played through the whole level in practice mode with the music hack in one sitting and this genuinely felt like I was playing a whole full game or something and I loved it. Truly a unique GD experience. I think this is a masterpiece of a level, the 55minutes allow it to try stuff that normal levels couldnt, like unique gameplay loops and atmosphere. I think this is truly a masterpiece of a level. I'm not sure if i'll ever complete in in normal mode but I think this is one of my favorite GD levels ever made.
That triple spike at the end has to be the cruelest thing in geometry dash lol. Knowing youve wasted almost an hour of time if you mess up just adds so much pressure lol

I finally got the time to play this level through in practice mode while on a plane and it was truly an experience. Don’t know if I’m going to do it again but it was amazing.

It's funny because about a year ago I started making a 15 minute level, it wasn't as decorated as the long walk home for example, in fact, the level was going to have a hybrid look between 1.0 style decoration and other types of decoration, The point is that I was getting quite far, actually, I reached +13 minutes of finished level, but then I wanted to polish it, (Remove any swag route that could be in the level, polish the gameplay and get rid of any errors of decoration throughout the level), the point is that I stopped working more and more on the level, until I wanted to go back to it, but 2.2 came out and now I was interested in making other levels besides that one, and I was daydreaming thinking " When I finish the level it will be the longest level with rate of geometry dash and I will make history.'' Days later this level appears and destroys all my hopes of creating that ''longest level of all time'' the funny thing is that if i don't slowed down the level construction process i could have enjoyed being the ''creator who created the longest level of geometry dash'' even for a few months or days, I'll be honest, when I find out that this level was rated I'll I got a little angry about what I said before, but I'll be honest, this level is much better than something I would have done, so, congratulations, I'll keep my second place trophy when my level comes out!
