The album version of this song should've been done acoustically IMHO. Would've given the album a 'breath of fresh air,' recording this acoustically. And Noel's playing is just great! Simply amazing!

It blows my mind that they can do a proper rock n roll track and then follow it up with a slow acoustic ballad & sound equally as amazing! Proof that they were one of the most versatile live bands during that era!!

Not really. The orchestra makes the song what it is on the album. Don’t Go Away is one of the few songs on there which isn’t overproduced
