i called it, i noticed how you kept bumping the beam and was like, "he's gonna break the beam one of these days." Who knew it would have been in the same video.
Fun fact : this MS was known as the "Zombie GM", due to the fact that it could continue to fight even after taking enormous amounts of damage. Yea I know I just borrowed it from the Gundam wiki.
ZQFMGB ye it’s from a manga, the pilot himself is called the Zombie GM because he miraculously comes back alive after every battle despite having his MS broken
This thing, and the HGUC Powered GM are probably the Most Solid High Grades I've Seen so far, Safe For the HGCE Strike Rouge. Out of the three mentioned Kits, I only own two.
I’ve built the Powered GM, and I love it. Sure, it has some old technology, particularly with the ball joint hips and loose trigger finger, but the fact that it’s still so modern in several elements makes it really impressive for a High Grade from 2006. I’m also building the Age-1 Normal. The fact that it has an articulated back skirt is also really impressive, and I bet some small modifications can let you turn it into a double premium buttflap.
Fun fact, B-Club made a resin conversion kit for this that will make it into the GM striker Custom (which has a Gundam type head instead of a GM type one), sadly I'm not sure if anyone still stocks it.
HyperionGM Nope, B-club kits usually only have a single print run with limited quantities to boot. Finding legit older B-club stuff is next to impossible sadly enough.
My favorite GM, by and far. I'm working on getting a couple GM Type C ground types, and a Zaku IIF2 EFF color to make a little Federation patrol group to fight some Zeon Guerrillas in a diorama.
Funnily enough, the same thing happened with one of my beam blades on the Striker, although in that case it was just bent, and caused by the Striker falling off my shelf. everything else was fine, thankfully, but that god for that extra beam. Hmm, now that I think about it, I should have a spare yellow beam lying around somewhere. might be cool to use two different kinds.
Come to think of it, I recall the Red Rider, the Pale Rider Project machine from the ongoing Gundam Aggressor manga, is equipped with Wearable Armor like the GM Striker, but since I noticed the armor is molded in with the actual parts, it's painfully obvious the Red Rider's Wearable Armor will be completely separate pieces. Real unfortunate.
when i first saw this in gundam target in sight years ago i fell in love of it and is still my favorite gm if only they make a offical gm striker custom but the resin kit are look good
I wonder if with a little modification to the hand covers if you could use those extra sandrock hands from the heavyarms and give this GM striker a dedicated hand leaning down for the twin beam spear?
It's a very nice kit, and definitely one of my favorite GMs (My favorite is probably the GM III), but I wish we had seen it do more in animation. A common complaint with GMs, naturally. This is definitely a great value at 1200 yen. By the way, the GM Sniper K9 looks damn good in chobham armor, great idea. Was that difficult to do?
Arrowdodger The origin might fix that, Sayla and Sleggar get their own custom GMs :3 The armor that's on him fits as is, but the legs aren't a perfect fit. You can see that the front piece is slightly off in the video. Since Kai Shangar asked for it in the Alex review, I decided to put it in =D If I have some more time I'll try some other machines out, the GM custom might be a good fit(other than the shoulders)
Hmmm, Im tempted to get this, if only to give the beam scythe thing to the upcoming Pale Rider exclusive kit.........decisions, decisions, decisions..........
got this guy from HLJ a few days ago and only getting round to putting him togehter now but the sheild peg on mine keeps dropping out like you said happened with the earlier designs :( the peg on your one looks way longer then the one on mine. tbh it was cause of your review I went and snagged one as I love the design and colours used
Wait, don't the longer All Gundam Project beam saber blades use the UC/SEED connection? Could this javelin support having two of those blades in it, or would that be too heavy?
Just asking, can the beam spear/scythe be stored in the backpack? because in the gundam game mobile suit battle operation 2 has the beam spear/scythe on the backpack
Technically, it would be easier to just take the old version of the RX-79[G] as well as the shoulders from this and replace the V-fin with a custom visor you're probably going to have to make from scratch...
Shame, I would have gotten this kit if only the hips were universal joints instead of the old-school ball joints. Because of that, I got the GM II Semi-Striker instead. Looks a lot more plain, but has better articulation which is preferable for close-quarter mobile suits.
I can’t say anything about the build itself, but the end product still holds up extremely well to modern day High Grades. Modern HGs might be able to cut down on the stickers and have pegs at the thighs for full thigh rotation and splits, but the GM Striker’s articulation is still competitive with modern kits, and the accessories have plenty of gimmicks as well. I’d say the answer is still “hell yes.”
Unlikely you're still waiting for answer, but just in case you are or if somebody else needs advice, here are my top three GMs (no particular order) : - The HGBF GM/GM : pretty simple but is simple to build, has some awesome articulation and can be customised easily. It even come with 3 head : a redesign of the original GM's, one that is very similar to the GM Command's, and one that's reminiscent of the DOME Bit. Perfect for beginners. - GM Sniper K9 : first, it's based on the GM Sniper II, one of the best GM designs ever. Second, you can build it either as the Build Fighters, the original design, or a mix of the two, with a badass and pretth realistic green color scheme. And third, it's got a shitload of accessories, including eight 1/144 soldiers. - GM III : a really good upgrade of the original GM. It notably gets rid of the flat face and the diaper skirsts, and replaces them which much more awesome and modern designs. The high point of this kit is definitely the accessories though, in particular the optional missile launchers on the shoulders and the side skirts. Definitely the most badass and powerful GM that isn't a limited production ace machine or a specialised variant. A bit old but still very cool. There are a lot of GMs, and most of them are awesome (I struggled to only list three !), but these ones are some of the best ones I can think of that aren't P-Bandai.
The problem with this question is that everyone builds at different speeds. For example, I somehow wound up as some kind of speed-building god, taking only two hours to build a HG that takes someone else with equal experience 6 hours.
Just finishing up my own. Stupid yellow stickers. Why couldn't they just have molded extra parts in yellow? An extra pair for the backpack and another one for each knee would have done it.
I think he put the NT-1 Alex's Chobham armor on the K9. The K9 does come with some reinforced armor parts but they aren't Chobham, though they look better IMHO.
The sight of that GM Sniper K9 wearing the Alex' armor really cracked me up.
i called it, i noticed how you kept bumping the beam and was like, "he's gonna break the beam one of these days." Who knew it would have been in the same video.
"Do you want to buy this?" Mine just arrived!
One of my favorite GM builds. Very cool melee mech
When I saw the beam flopping around I knew there was something wrong with it's peg, and I was correct.
Wow...this one looks beyond badass. I'm definitely adding it to my list.
Watching this before I get mine in the mail! So excited. Been wanting this kit since two years ago; when I first discovered gunpla.
i know its old content, but you convince me, i'm getting it, thanks a lot! cheers from Chile!
+ostermannful At your service and greets from Belgium back :D

ZQFMGB ye it’s from a manga, the pilot himself is called the Zombie GM because he miraculously comes back alive after every battle despite having his MS broken
I liked how the pilot ignored damage and focused only on defending vital areas
NtB00k_ ___ Too Bad the manga ended so fast and he just died
@@NAM-en8cy Oh yeah, I forgot it was only a particular pilot. Still, the GM's reinforced armor probably helped.
ZQFMGB Even before using this MS he is already known as Zombie GM

Got mine and it looks cool. Which made me addicted to GMs

One of my favorite GM the Striker!

Target in Sight was my first experience of the Striker, too. That Twin Beam Spear is such a great melee weapon.
If I ever have to buy this, I'll repaint it with camouflage 3 shades of green, black, and khaki yey! :))
Thanks for the detailed review! Saw it at a comic book store for $12! Definitely going back for it.
Tell us more about your username.
The Striker is my favorite ground grunt suit.
this is hands down my fav GM and I wish it had a MG version
this is my favorite gm variation
I casually found this kit in a average anime store, bought it immediately.
Sweet fading transition u made in the comparisons.
I wonder if with a little modification to the hand covers if you could use those extra sandrock hands from the heavyarms and give this GM striker a dedicated hand leaning down for the twin beam spear?
This is a must buy GM variation
Nice review, man. Thanks fo' this. :)
Ill get mine in 10 days on my birthday im very exited
Ill also get the hg geara doga and maybe the nu gundam
GM striker would be a amazing MG
I managed to get this and a Zaku sniper 1 the other day.

Cool, though the GM Custom in it would just look like the GM Cannon 2 but without cannons. heh
Praying for an HG Desert GM and/or GM Land Combat type
Hmmm, Im tempted to get this, if only to give the beam scythe thing to the upcoming Pale Rider exclusive kit.........decisions, decisions, decisions..........
got this guy from HLJ a few days ago and only getting round to putting him togehter now but the sheild peg on mine keeps dropping out like you said happened with the earlier designs :( the peg on your one looks way longer then the one on mine. tbh it was cause of your review I went and snagged one as I love the design and colours used
I hope for A Desert GM Kit.
Why you do not review the 1/144 HGUC GM Cannon II?
I found that if I thoroughly wipe the finger Grease and sweat off of any piece I intend to put a sticker on, the sticker stays on a lot better
***** If you don't mind my asking, how well does the Alex's Chobham Armor fit on the Gm sniper K9? Furthermore, would it fit on other GMs?
Wait, don't the longer All Gundam Project beam saber blades use the UC/SEED connection? Could this javelin support having two of those blades in it, or would that be too heavy?
Did you made any modifications to the choban armor to make it fit to the GM Sniper II?
Just asking, can the beam spear/scythe be stored in the backpack? because in the gundam game mobile suit battle operation 2 has the beam spear/scythe on the backpack
Ooh, i could totally modify this guy into the RX-79(G)SW Slave Wraith from Missing Link!
Technically, it would be easier to just take the old version of the RX-79[G] as well as the shoulders from this and replace the V-fin with a custom visor you're probably going to have to make from scratch...
Will you be reviewing the Delta Gundam?
Over all that does seem like good kit but I am not just thrilled that they used those orange vents with all that green.
How many should I get 2,3,4,5
Will you review another HGBF kit ***** ?
Some kits just looks so UC style
And will you review another HGBC ?
I'm having enough budget to either choose this or Luna's Gunner Zaku.
And I'm conflicted with which one to choose. Halp. :'v
I'd go with Lunamaria's Gunner Zaku. It's just that little bit cooler, and more badass.
Shame, I would have gotten this kit if only the hips were universal joints instead of the old-school ball joints. Because of that, I got the GM II Semi-Striker instead. Looks a lot more plain, but has better articulation which is preferable for close-quarter mobile suits.
you could always mod the hips
can you do one of the gogg pls :D
Do you know any high grade kits where you can put a gundam pilot in if so where can you get the pilots thanks
Who has one was that Gundam with the chobham armor?
+lris Esfahani That was the GM Sniper K9 (and just to be sure, it doesn't come with the chobham armor)
+Kakarot197 And the Gundam ALEX,which comes with it.
I don't think any gundam colors are realistic, but I do like the kit. Bright yellow is very...uh...not tactical
three beam sabers just make me think of zoro
how do you put cobbham armor in the gm sniper :O
Is it still good to build
I can’t say anything about the build itself, but the end product still holds up extremely well to modern day High Grades. I may miss it but what gm is that with the chog armor
GM Sniper K9. Someone asked me of the Chobham armor would fit on it, so I put it in this video as an easter egg.
+Kakarot197 that's brilliant makes me want to buy the Alex and the k9 just for that. heavy duty sniper -takes all the hits to take down its target
need some help. list your 3 favorite GMs. cuz i cant decide

what model kit is that @ 11:17
GM Sniper K9 with the NT1 Alex Chobham armor
ty so much!
Need a Shotgun for Doom Guy ver or machine gun for Master Chief Ver
How long does anybody think this guy would take to construct?
The problem with this question is that everyone builds at different speeds. For example, I somehow wound up as some kind of speed-building god, taking only two hours to build a HG that takes someone else with equal experience 6 hours.
I'd get this guy and give him an RX-78-2 head...
Yay! Full armor gundam!
+Weekend Wifiguy more like perfect gundam II
Look it's a striker custom
Katana Gundam a GM striker with a gundam head 🤣
Love Federation Hooligans!
So how many GMs we have to buy two, or five? i was taking notes but just didnt get that part.
perreterecon 3 tends to be a popular number in the Gundam universe, so let's go with that.
***** 3 sides has a triangle... GM Loominarti confirmed? whatever, i already have 9.
perreterecon Wait! 9 divided by 3 is.... *3*
*GM Life 3 confirmed!*
***** D:,p
Just finishing up my own. Stupid yellow stickers. Why couldn't they just have molded extra parts in yellow? An extra pair for the backpack and another one for each knee would have done it.
Vo Mabulay I know right? Sandwiching a yellow piece between 2 green parts doesn't seem to be hard to do either, as with the crotch
I always try to wipe my fingerprints off of a location before I start trying to put stickers on it.
How the...
HELL
did you get that broken beam saber peg out?!
Skeletor P. Funk I rammed the pointy end of a safety pin in the peg and then tried to lever it out. It was surprisingly easier than expected =P
How did you make that custom gm sniper k9?
I think he put the NT-1 Alex's Chobham armor on the K9. The K9 does come with some reinforced armor parts but they aren't Chobham, though they look better IMHO.
If I get it I will have to paint it I just don't like that green with yellow.
For all your none zeon needs
When you try your best but you don’t succeed
Looks like a power ranger
