    Looks good and must be tasty but confused with the way preparation. You saying soak dal for 30 minutes and drain. It doesn't show in the Video. Cup size is not stated. I hope you give information in grams and mls.

    Lot of people have rice water also strained out. If you want to save the nutrients, use the strained water to knead atta for your roties!!

    My experience was that it takes a whole lot longer than 30 minutes to completely cook Urid or Mash Dal. I understand this is Moong Dal. There must be difference in taste, between the two. Nonetheless, I prefer 'Urid Dal' better though. Because it took too long to completely cook, I gave up cooking. There is no restaurant in Los Angeles, California USA where I can get Sookhi Urid / Maash Dal. However, there is one restaurant in New York City, USA run by a guy from Gujranwala, Pakistan who cooks every day, and I can hardly wait to visit his restaurant whenever I go to NYC. I don't want to kill you with suspense. The restaurant's name is 'Haandi', located at 113 Lexington Ave, New York, NY 10016. Go visit. Try it with tandoori roti. You will like it and thank me.

    How much water would be enough for 1 cup dal if pressure cooked?

    • @carmelgupte9768
      @carmelgupte9768 6 месяцев назад

      This is not a recipe for pressure cooked dal. U have to get the dal cooked just right n not overcooked like it may come out after pressure cooking. Just follow the steps shown in the video.
