Do SmackDown next, because SmackDown is going to be having a 1000th episode celebration this Tuesday. WWF/E SmackDown! was ran from August 26, 1999 (where I started to watch WWF/E during the Attitude Era when I was a kid back then after I stopped watching WCW months ago from '99) up to the present day. Although, I stopped watching WWE in 2013 this decade, because I want to move forward and I have been watching wrestling on television since 1993 as a toddler up to 2013 as a young adult for 20 years. But however, nowadays I am reliving watching old wrestling right now. While other childhood favorite that I also grew up including videogames, anime, cartoons, and drawing pictures.
I miss the unique stage designs. Even Raw and Smackdown use the exact same set, except they just rearranged the LED screens in a different format. I'm also not a fan of the excessive LED screens used for aprons and ring posts.
With the predetermined amount of content that wrestling's past consists of, I can't believe I've still yet to see this series recycled or upcycled elsewhere. Awesome job!
The 1991 royal rumble was always my favorite the rockers vs orient express is in my opinion one of if not the best tag team match of all time !!! Kato and tanaka were so underrated. Greetings from the best city in the world Buffalo ny
Dude when I saw this in my inbox I was pumped. I wasn’t sure if you were still doing videos. Glad to see that you are. One of my favorites yet. And 2002 might have been my favorite stage. It just looked awesome
Great video as always! Keep up the content! If I had to rank my top 5 favorite Royal Rumble designs it would be have be 5. WWE Royal Rumble 2004 4. WWF Royal Rumble 2000 3. WWE Royal Rumble 2005 2. WWE Greatest Royal Rumble 2018 1. WWE Royal Rumble 2008 - Loved the MSG crowd that night.
I'd definitely have to say that my favorite arena is easily royal rumble 2000, it was the first to really look unique imo and it's well done, plus MGS is just awesome, the PPV itself was also really good
Royal Rumble 2000 was the best in my opinion. Not just event wise, but I love the New York street themed design of the entrance way, and the logo was pretty good too- lower case writing with the red shadows behind each letter. I dig that.
I totally agree with u.. its totally bullshit during 2009 up to the present another thing is that 2018-2020 royal rumble logo was also poor in terms of graphic designs
What a pleasant surprise! I was litterally just wondering about your next upload an hour before I got the notification! This video has saved me from a boring night for sure. Can't wait for the 2k19 review, your opinion on it honestly will affect whether I buy it or not!
I like watching these breakdown videos. as I've stated before, I didn't grow up watching these things because I did not have cable. It seems that the trend with WWF was that they liked to stick with what works or what they felt worked. WCW would recycle things but they would rotate them in and out.
Royal rumble 98 was my favorite . Mick Foley coming in as all three of his characters was funny. Hbk beat undertaker in a casket match thanks to kane . Then kane locked taker in and set it on fire but afterwards when they open the casket his body was gone that was cool. Worse part about that rumble is that's when Shawn Michaels smashed his back off the casket and had to leave for a couple years almost never came back. But he stuck around to drop the title to Austin at WrestleMania 14 when Tyson fast counted him! Lol he was a enforcer not a referee! Hbk should still be champion lol
All of these years I did not know that 2005 was based off West Side Stories as I’ve never seen it cool. Also 2006 is my personal favorite I love that Roman gladiator theme. Only thing I wish for that stage was props of a crumbled column on each side or at least standing up.
The 1992 Royal rumble is .my favorite royal rumble of the 1990 s and 2000 s is royal rumble 2001.congratw to the late owen hart who won a royal rumble on 1 17 1994
My favorite set out of all Royal Rumbles was both 2003 and 2004 and for the logo the 2016 one. Hope you review WWE 2K19 as I plan on getting a PS4 as well as the Nintendo Switch. The only consoles I own was a PS2,PS3,3DS after my DSi broke and crapped out on me and the Wii. Also looking forward on the Arena Showcase on Smackdown Live.
After with what u said about the guys on top controlling the lights we all have to give them massive respect for sitting so high controlling the lights my respects are with those construction workers for wwe
Always like the royal rumble entrance used from 95-97 nice and simple but always like how the graphics lights would pop out but if I had my top 5 it would be 03 (waterfall drop added a nice scheme to the set) 2. 2002 3. 2004 4. 2007 5. 2000 (honorable mention 2013 set)
Feel like you should have mentioned that the WrestleMania signs begin appearing at the Rumble after 2004 and mention that one Rumble have banners hanging up in the rafters. Also like 2009s ramp being a road. Oh and the WWE.com apron skirt at the 08 Rumble is the same as the Raw skirt at the time. They always used to do cool stages and I remember hearing that they started using the same stage for PPVs as the TV shows because they were trying to save money with the Networks launch. Also imagine how cool the 2016 Rumble stage could have been. I would have liked to see a giant titantron video like the name banners and columns behind two video screens next to the main tron which would play graphics for the wrestlers during their entrances and play generic Stone statues rotating left to right and back again.Along the front of the set under those screens and tron would be physical statues of Kevin Owens and Dean Ambrose and Charlotte and Becky next to each other with statues for Roman Reigns, Sheamus, Brock. Lesnar and Bray Wyatt with a stone statue of the WWE logo in the middle with red curtains on either side where the wrestlers come from.
2007 is my favorite. 2007 is just my favorite year
NikateeN
Love these Arena Showcases
Can you do an Arena Showcase for Smackdown
@Sinners Saint inc.
Oh that would be Awesome as well to see
Do SmackDown next, because SmackDown is going to be having a 1000th episode celebration this Tuesday. That's cool
FINALLY....Nikateen HAS COME BACK....to RUclips!
The 2001 Royal Rumble was always my favorite. I just always enjoyed watching all the characters of the attitude era.
He’s back!!! Your videos make me enjoy wrestling again 😊😊😊
2006 will forever be burned in my mind thanks to SVR 2007
The 2000 iteration is probably the best Madison Square Garden stage design. It's amazing what they accomplished with what little space they had.
My favorite logo are the 96-98 with the alter 99 scratched up version. In terms of set, I loved the 2003 set the most follow by the 2013 set.
So much history. Thank you Nikateen.
Your arena showcase videos are absolutely great! Hope to see a lot more
Love the nostalgia
Huge fan of your stuff! Glad I've watched it! So interesting!👍
New Arena Showcase? Well my Saturday Night just got better. Thanks Nikateen!
I’m watching this for a second time... It’s so good and covers so many details about the shows... I cant imagine how long this took to put together!
Thanks so much Nikateen. I always look forward to new vids
Always loved the Rumble.
I miss the unique stage designs. Even Raw and Smackdown use the exact same set, except they just rearranged the LED screens in a different format.
I'm also not a fan of the excessive LED screens used for aprons and ring posts.
And the entrance is different
Me either, I especially loathe those LED ringposts
I actually like the LED screens on the aprons but I outright hate the LED ring-posts.
It also doesn't make any sense when they use these screens only in the USA but uses traditional ring-posts elsewhere.
the WWE.com logo on the red and metallic look on the ring skirts were also used for Monday Night Raw
Thank you sir!!!!! You bring back the nostalgia i need so bad!!!
With the predetermined amount of content that wrestling's past consists of, I can't believe I've still yet to see this series recycled or upcycled elsewhere. Awesome job!
2002 is my fav by far
My favorite part of NikateeN videos is when he says "and such and such .. finishes off the look!"
I am so glad that you're back doing this man you were one of my first people that I subscribed when I got my new channel going
Love the old WWF logo.
The 1991 royal rumble was always my favorite the rockers vs orient express is in my opinion one of if not the best tag team match of all time !!! Kato and tanaka were so underrated. Greetings from the best city in the world Buffalo ny
It's awesome to see that are fans like me that are obsessed with these type of things, keep up the good work 👍
I love these Arena Videos!
I agree
Dude when I saw this in my inbox I was pumped. I wasn’t sure if you were still doing videos. Glad to see that you are. One of my favorites yet. And 2002 might have been my favorite stage. It just looked awesome
2006 is without a doubt my favourite
Great video as always! Keep up the content!
If I had to rank my top 5 favorite Royal Rumble designs it would be have be
5. WWE Royal Rumble 2004
4. WWF Royal Rumble 2000
3. WWE Royal Rumble 2005
2. WWE Greatest Royal Rumble 2018
1. WWE Royal Rumble 2008 - Loved the MSG crowd that night.
Somewhat agree
Love these
It's always a dope day when my G has a new video.
I also grew up with the early 90's Royal Rumble with Royal Rumble 89 and the last Royal Rumble I've seen was Royal Rumble 2010
You're always killing it with these videos. Great job as always!
I'd definitely have to say that my favorite arena is easily royal rumble 2000, it was the first to really look unique imo and it's well done, plus MGS is just awesome, the PPV itself was also really good
I forgot this channel existed. Use to watch all the wrestling game reviews. Love the vid man
Me too lol
He’s back!
Before the first one a lot of wrestlers and announcers weren't sure what the show and match was called. Some called it Rumble Royal
2002,2003, 2006, 2008 & GRR 2018 arena are my favs. Can't wait for survivor series showcase possibly after this years event and a Kotr showcase
Ill be at the 2019 Rumble and based on the seating plan, I think it will be the most beautiful looking Rumble
Royal Rumble 2000 was the best in my opinion. Not just event wise, but I love the New York street themed design of the entrance way, and the logo was pretty good too- lower case writing with the red shadows behind each letter. I dig that.
-Finally- *I’ve been waiting for this*
The red metallic WWE.COM skirts in 2008 were the ones used for Monday night Raw at the time
Idk why I love the 02 and 04 rumble ring skirt logo
You forgot to mention that 1996 was the first time wrestlers had their entrance music in queue while entering the royal rumble.
Yesss always happy when you upload
Glad to see more uploads. Keep up the good work👍
Also the WWE logo would appear on the barricade pads for 2009 & 2010 while from 2011-2013 it would WWE HD logo on them.
NikateeN drops a video..Instant like 😎
My favorite Rumble designs are 99 00 & 04
U should’ve added a screenshot of Titus o’Neil’s epic slide botch from the greatest royal Rumble
Love your work bro..this man needs way more subscribers. #alwaysafan
Yes!!!
1. 2000
2. 2003
3. 2002
Are my favorites sets.
2009-Present are all trash. With the exception of the Greatest Royal Rumble set.
I totally agree with u.. its totally bullshit during 2009 up to the present another thing is that 2018-2020 royal rumble logo was also poor in terms of graphic designs
2013 stages was cool
I love The Royal Rumble 01,03 09, 2010 RIngs and Stages
I like Rumble 2000, 2007, 2008 and 2013!
Hey Nikateen you should do a Q and A ;)) I’m glad you’re back
Can you do an arena showcase for Saturday Night's Main Event?
1993 was my fav of the old school era-2003 is my fav of the ruthless agression era
What a pleasant surprise! I was litterally just wondering about your next upload an hour before I got the notification! This video has saved me from a boring night for sure. Can't wait for the 2k19 review, your opinion on it honestly will affect whether I buy it or not!
The 1998 also had the scratch WF logo. I believe that was the first.
Love your channel bro I love that your interested in stuff like this about wrestling!
Another great vid dude keep it up NikateeN
Wish they would do a throwback RR arena one year
You da man bro! Still waiting on your Smackdown showcase video tho..Cant wait for that one.
Well, it’s one long video all full of detailed descriptions! I love it! (Even though I’m not a huge wrestling fan)
I’m a simple man. I see a Nikateen video I hit the play button quicker than an RKO out of nowhere.
Bah god!
For the love of god! Edna! Someone get security out here! Edna!
I like watching these breakdown videos. as I've stated before, I didn't grow up watching these things because I did not have cable. It seems that the trend with WWF was that they liked to stick with what works or what they felt worked. WCW would recycle things but they would rotate them in and out.

welcome back bro
Also the ring posts at Royal Rumble 2013 were red.
The Royal Rumble entrance stages 1997, 1999, 2000, 2003 and 2006 are the best in my opinion.
When you like the video before it even starts playing 👍
Not gonna lie, but I was kinda disappointed when they didn't add the Greatest Royal Rumble to the WWE 2K games...
42 mins of Arena Showcase? Lemme get some snacks and drinks for this,
And bacon
2015 graphic presentation I like the most, ring wise late 90s most the attitude era
Please make new video like this! i miss Arena Showcase
there is a island behind the 95 logo
2000 and 2001 and 2008 Royal Rumble for me
For me its the OG for all wrestling PPV.
One of my favourites is 2006 because of the Roman theme
from what i heard from the 2000 royal rumble stage there was a camera inside the taxi cab but dont know if it was true.
Great video upload enjoyed watching it plenty more to watch and very interesting to your page is amazing ok 👌
Thanks!
@@NikateeN your welcome m8 keep the good work up 👍
smart man, great Vid
Love these Arena Showcase videos. You should do WrestleMania arena showcase.
Michael Carr I actually did WrestleMania already. 😁
All of these years I did not know that 2005 was based off West Side Stories as I’ve never seen it cool. Also 2006 is my personal favorite I love that Roman gladiator theme. Only thing I wish for that stage was props of a crumbled column on each side or at least standing up.
Can we get another attire showcase
2007 has the most amazing looking stage
I hate how from 2009 - 2016 the stages have looked pretty much the same
The 1992 Royal rumble is .my favorite royal rumble of the 1990 s and 2000 s is royal rumble 2001.congratw to the late owen hart who won a royal rumble on 1 17 1994
yes finally! do SmackDown next!
Shawn Micheals became the first SuperStar to Win The Royal Rumble in back-to-back years 1995 entered #1 1995 and entered #2 1996
Um wwe 2k19 isn't on the switch due to the poor reception from the 2k18 port
I know. The Nintendo Switch version of 2K18 got very negative reviews and 2K19 is only on PS4,Xbox One and Steam.
Maybe I'm alone in this but I would really like to see a TNA/Impact Wrestling stage showcase
After with what u said about the guys on top controlling the lights we all have to give them massive respect for sitting so high controlling the lights my respects are with those construction workers for wwe
Absolutely, I’m deathly afraid of heights and would not be able to pull that one off.
Can you a arena showcase for Survivor Series please.
Just in time to go with my dinner
Always like the royal rumble entrance used from 95-97 nice and simple but always like how the graphics lights would pop out but if I had my top 5 it would be 03 (waterfall drop added a nice scheme to the set) 2. 2002 3. 2004 4. 2007 5. 2000 (honorable mention 2013 set)
The spotlights if not controlled by a human manipulating it directly are controlled from pre programmed cues on a lighting console
Good Video but you forgot one thing the wrestlemania sign in the background
