  • Looking to paint your wing mirror caps body colour? Want to know how long/how easy/how much of a transformation it is? You've come to the right place, as in this video I show you my process of painting my mirror caps blue to match the VW Polo 9n.
    Apologies to those of you looking for a top 5 video this week, I've just started a new job and am away on a residential, so will not be putting a top 5 out until April I would assume - just no time to get the work on them done (but I'll try my best to get one out if I can!)
    Appreciate all the support and welcome to all the new subscribers, it's been quite a good week for subs!

    Music:
    Background: My (musically gifted) sister
    Feature bits: Sister again - I literally asked her for a piece of music for those bits of the vid and she made that within 5 minutes. She thinks the music is boring, I think it does the job perfectly, so whatever
    Outro: Ship Wrek & Zookeepers - Ark [NCS Release]

    Nice job, there is a little rubber stopper underneath the mirror, if you take it out and insert something like the smooth end of a drill bit, it presses a tab and releases the cover, lift it straight up, save damaging the cover.

    those wing mirrors look amazing mate! genuinely such a great addition to the car and you should be well proud of them. I've had my fair share of run ins of shitty plastic tabs breaking in cars, infuriating to have to deal with! One broke on my wheel arch once, then when I was going 70 on the Motorway, and the wheel arch wrapped around my wheel for like 500/600m, it was quite an experience.
    Topic: I'd of loved to of found my car in french racing blue, but they always seem to be more expensive, and I dont blame them! I think the french racing blue in a Clio looks better than liquid yellow, controversial statement, i know.

    • @CarsWithJB
      @CarsWithJB  5 лет назад +1

      Cheers as always my dude! Haha honestly don't see the point of them when they have far more robust methods of holding things in place - at least 2 of those tabs are now broken! That can't have been very fun haha, I don't envy that experience... that is a controversial opinion but I do agree - I love the yellow but the French racing blue does look sick!

    Remember to colour sand/wet sand them and buff as well as with the rest of the car, seeing that I have a polo as well, this is an important step to the overall look. You might think at first it's going to look better, but not turn heads or grab attention... you'll be surprised how a properly detailed car (any car will grab attention).
    Awesome video and keep them coming

    Loving the series, I have a 1.2 polo as well. Not sure if you’d be interested but I recently changed my air intake obviously the overall performance of the car hasn’t really been affected, however, the sound when accelerating is significantly louder and I think sounds very nice. Might fit well for your series since it cost me around £16 including next day postage from eBay. Keep up the sick videos boss
