That little boy is so adorable and bright. I didn't know anything at all when I was his age - holy god. I would hope that his creativity does not get squished by external force.
His parents won't be complaining once he is a business owner at 15. He'll pay off their debt and will probably buy them a house haha.
They should be more encouraging.
omg that 3rd worry. wasn't even a worry just spend more time with your kid. he is so bright and wise beyond his years. they should try to nourish that instead of stopping him. we need more kids like him.
It's not that they're trying to stop him. They're just concerned his isolating himself too much at school and the dangers of being near electricity/fire. It's natural to be concerned about how he'll further develop if he's so fixated on fans. The kid's parents concern comes from a good place. Sohyun definitely has a good idea by eliminating the distraction (fans) perhaps they'll improve on their communication and come to a compromise.

Even though I know the main hosts are suppose to make the show a little bit more light hearted, I really love Choi Tae Joon because he seems to know how to seriously address a situation. While the other hosts are laughing it off, you can see him being genuinely concerned for the guest and he isn't afraid to put someone in their place. I hope these husbands learn a thing or two from him. Choi Tae joon fighting ~
also I had a feeling that maybe his star sign is a cancer because of how well he seems to always empathize with people and GUESS WHAT?? He is the Cancer sign, nailed it.

Just, wow. I was so disappointed and teary eyed during the first pair but I just couldn't stop my tears anymore during the second one. I hope everything goes well for the moms and kids, with or without their husbands/fathers.
Please. Let's just take a moment to admire the kid from the 3rd concern (which in my opinion it is not even a real worry). He looks so kind and smart and cuteeee
At first I didn't think it was a worry either but when the father talked about the how he could get hurt by the electricity, I thought maybe it is a worry, but I don't think the kid should completely stop working on the fans because of this worry.

Wah the first two concerns are really frustrating especially the first one, being the oldest girl from my big family I understand the wife's concern, I had to babysit my siblings, take care of the house and if anything happened it's always my fault, not only that but sometimes you should give up on things you want or belong to you for the sake of your younger siblings so yeah I was under alot of pressure, and it's not easy at all for my parents it's even harder for them, and I'm thankful my dad is not like that.
The dad from the last concern should not ban his son from collecting fans, his son is very smart and creative he would do amazing things in the future.

mmmm...yes and no. i think you mostly learn it at a young age from your parents, how they treat you, how they treat each other. but also remember, it's not exactly common in asian countries to just hug or randomly announce your love for the other person.
Not exactly. People learn subconsciously from watching their parents or people around them how to treat people you love. For example, children who grow up in abusive families usually become abusive themselves. That isn't because they hate their spouse, but because they learned that this is how you treat your wife or husband. It's a vicious cycle.

That first guy doesn't even treat his wife like a human being. Excuse me sir, but you have hands just like your wife and you can bloody well help her with chores and raising the kids. Oh! you can't because you were born with a y chromosome and a different set of equipment down there? I don't see how your y chromosome or your nasty area makes it physically impossible for you to help her out. And his wife, though I sympathize with her, I am also really angry at her because she let this happen and she sounds far too submissive and lets him walk all over her. And before you guys claim that "it's old asian culture" I was raised in the middle east. My father grew up in a patriarchal old school neighborhood and yet he always helped my mother with dinner and cleaning because he loves her and respects her as a human being. It's not his culture, it's him that is the problem. He has no consideration at all.

the first concern guy infuriate me. He wanted all those children, but is not willing to take time, energy o responsability for them and just wants her wife to do everything. so frustrating to watch, can't imagine all the stress the wife must be under.
this is a bit sad to say but that's exactly what my mother is going through with our dad; this episode was......very close to hitting home, to say the least

The Ahjussi in the first concern should stop being so selfish and making excuses and thinking he can just do whatever as well as not thinking that men can't do other work and I hope he has matured and cared,helped his wife out more.
As for the man in the 2nd concern maybe he finds fish Theraputic? because some people find animals as a destresser although staring at those fishes for an hour kinda sounds awkward but hopefully he has learned to do what he needs to do

I'm not really into Kim Sohyun, Son Junho as singers, but I do like them as a couple they have amazing chemistry together the husband has a wicked sense of humor. They been on running man hilarious episode. Last concern nothing wrong with the boy, strong indication he likes to see how things work mechanical/motorized. He's charming obviously very smart he knows what he wants to do something that older have trouble figuring out.
I've even enough episodes of hello counsellor to conclusively decide that I never want to get married
For the third concern: Your son is a gem, he can achieve so much with your help.
I know it may be a little bit difficult with all your work, but try to be more interested in his ideas, go with him buy some books on fans, electronic devices, buy him some isolated gloves so he could work safely. He could even make mini fans for his friends at school.
But Yujin, don't forget to have a good amount of sleep to not get sick ^.^
My jaw dropped every 5 seconds during the first concern. I feel sorry for her and even more the oldest daughter.
(Edit!) I continued watching and when they were talking about how he lifted her shirt, as soon as he said that stupid, cover up sentence(i found it cute that our baby was inside her) i punched his face on the screen! A load of b.s! & i still haven't finished the first concern.. ( continuing now)

Gabby010597 its easy to say this, but you have to consider the country and culture you're talking about before statements like that. Its hard to be a single woman with children in Korea. Its not as easy as in western countries. First of all there is a lot of stigma against it. Families/friends/society doesnt understand it. Second of all divorced women in Korea almost get no protection or support and often lose custody of their children. They rather stay with their dirtbag husbands than to be thrown in the deep.
Mel i do agree that South Korean is not the best country to be a single mom but one of this ladies had her family support they told her "leave him" and i believe that you should love yourself first before anyone, this two ladies already work and make their money without the help of their husbands so this good for nothing are no valuable or needed

the kid at 1:01:27 cracked me up to the point that i even forgot about my anger towards the husband in the first concern. the nine year old is so adorable and wise, i am rooting for him to become an inventor!
I don't think the fans are the problem, when you are a kid and you don't have anyone to play with you find your ways, and I think his intereses are healthy! he seems like a very smart kid and interested in inventing. I do agree that he has to be careful and he does have to clean afterwards but the main problem here is a lack of communication and agreements between he and his parents.
Sometimes I feel like these men married their wives because it's illegal to marry their mum like they expect their wives to pick up their pieces and look after them smh 😒😒
wow. cant believes the man in first concern. My dad is the first son. i dont know how to say this, but first son i mean here is that he have to give birth a boy. but not. his children just me and my little sister, just two daughter. he adore us so much. May dad share housework with my mom. He cook for lunch and my mom for dinner, take us to go shopping, i the more i grow up, i realize that around market, he was the only man, while the others children come to shopping with their mom. people around me always jealous this kind of my family. watch this make me feel that how happy i am.

Some still involved with their childhood obsession, but others applied their determination and focus to a new concept and are now very wealthy or very involved in changing the world.
i'm very sensitive when it comes to kids. i almost cry when the wife in the 2nd concern said that her child once told her "daddy and mommy scold me, but granddad smiled at me." Ough.. he must be really sad, the son.

I've been watching Hello Counselor for years I know this episode's a bit old but this is like the first time I see Chanwoo looking mighty pissed.
The kid is way smarter than other ones at his age. He has a pretty good understanding of situations and you can tell that he tries to be careful with what he says, as to not offend or sadden anyone. To top it off, he is good at studying and at practical stuff. He'll grow up feeling lonely most probably, just because he's more advanced than others. His parents should give him extra attention and support him. I'm sure he'll figure it out...
Oh and he's so cute as well. If this would have been my kid, I would shower him with love and care lol.

That boy is so smart! I think what he needs to be taught is a bit of time management, like set a limit as to when he needs to stop for the day and maybe an hour reminder notice to tell him it's time to clean up so that he gets it done per routine and before he gets too tired. I was very impressed by his intelligence for such a young age! Another limit could be "you may only own 50" or other number so that he also learns to give up fans to kind of avoid a hoarding habit for his future. If you bring in you also get rid of something kind of thing... like donating or selling. We used to do that with toys for a while when I grew up and it was a good lesson.
Why am I telling all this? Because you never know who reads them that might have a similar child at home. :)

I don't feel bad for these women it's their choice to continue to lay with her husband and have more kids even though they are not happy and know it won't change it seems like unhappy marriages are common in Asian culture but I think it's cause they marry for the wrong reasons (status,pressure, and culture etc)..
Brittany Blessed It's not just Asian culture. You seen abusive relationships all over the world. Look at the ppl who goes back to their abusive partners, beating, cheating, etc. Their self esteem has been beaten down to nothing. Their self worth is gone. But they keep going back.
it's a cultural thing. I'm Nigerian and it's the same way for the older generation. they have this mindset that no matter how hurt or damaged your husband makes you you still owe him kids and sex because that's what a good wife does. divorce is never an option. as someone who is of the newer generation but has to deal with the old generation it's hard to understand as an outsider but it's so culturally bound that it actually makes me sick. it's terrifying to understand but even worse to live in. I feel so bad because they have to deal with it thinking there is no out based on what society tells them
Brittany Blessed what you're doing here is victim blaming. You're calling out the female instead of the male who shouldn't act like that in any circumstances. (copying from what i wrote to someone else) its easy to say to just divorce or leave your partner, but you have to consider the country and culture you're talking about before throwing out statements like that. Its hard to be a single woman with children in Korea. Its not as easy as in western countries where single mothers get supported. First of all there is a huge stigma against it in Korea. Marriages are very important and divorce is still seen as something alien. Families/friends/society don't understand it and often drop single mom's. Second of all divorced women in Korea almost get no protection or support and mothers often lose custody of their children. They rather play it safe and stay with their dirtbag husbands than to be thrown into the deep. You shouldn't talk as if it's easy when you've never been in a situation like that tbh.

There are many problems with the second concern's husband, but one thing I understand is how upset he is when the kids mess with his fish. I don't care how young the kids are, they should not come anywhere near the fish tank if they cannot behave. The whole problem is that the wife clearly can't cope with raising all of the children alone (nor should she), and the husband is very apathetic. It's his fault too that the kids mess with the fish! Why do people keep having kids if they don't want to invest their time and energy in them?.. It's very selfish in my opinion. And irresponsible.
Its concerns like the first one where you realize that Kwanghee would actually make a great husband.... despite all his problems and his childish behavior, his wife would probably be a really happy woman... without concerns like the first...

The ajusshi in the first concern has major issues. What does he think his wife is a baby making machine? He doesn't even take her body into consideration during the process of developing a child, and the various pain she must go thru. I'm not sure he even deserves to be a father...tsk.
