- Smoothies are a nice option if you have IBS or other digestive problems. Plant fiber is pulverized when blended and therefore may be easier for your digestive system to handle. The "good guy" bacteria in your gut will be thrilled by the increase in the number of plant foods that smoothies provide.

An absolutely excellent smoothie recipe. I'm going to make it today. Might add a tablespoon of cashew butter to the mix. BIG thanks, Dr. Mike!
I am so ready to start my new life - starting with this smoothie. The only problem is I had to get some items from two different places online, and have to go to two to three different shops to get the rest. Ah, good ol Ireland.
Thanks for the video. I’ve been wanting to ask, is there a difference between chia put in water and consumed versus just the seeds added into a shake as is?
My 6 yr old really enjoyed this video 😄
Make more smoothie recipes Mike 😋. I love my smoothie s 😋 have one a day 😮 awesome 👌 👏 👍 😍
What do you do with the left over. You can't let the smoothie sit for more than 2 hours
Can’t wait to try! I noticed you didn’t add a pinch of black pepper. Is it necessary to activate the turmeric? Also, if you haven’t already, I’d like you to include oranges in one of your future smoothies. Thanks Doc!
I had the same question!
He used things pre packaged
This recipe makes two servings. I agree. Taste scale 8.5/10. Great taste.
I've never takane notes so fast but laughed so hard. 👏👏🤣
I have really bad constipation and I went to the doctor and they told me to take MiraLAX. It worked for one day and then I went back to being constipated. I’m really excited to try the smoothies on a regular basis. Also, the doctor had the nerve to call me repeatedly for a follow up appointment. I refused to come back in because they didn’t even bother to ask me about my die or lifestyle they just told me to take MiraLAX.
Dam bro, I need to step my gut game up!
anything i can use instead of mangos cause of allergies and goji berries cause they’re hard to access where i am ?
Where was I when you did all these 🤦♀️❤️
It looks like your recipe would make at least two smoothies. Is the nutritional content based on the total recipe, or one glass?
Good question!
Omg this is exactly my smoothie! I just do not use any sweetener and I do not use any vanilla extract or coconut sugar I just add 5 dates and it makes it so sweet!
I also add a teaspoon of inulin
I buy raw dates all the time. I never thought about adding them to my smoothies. Ima try it now😊
is this one serving or more??
How come no dark greens 🥬
🤔❤️👯♀️
Haha nice editing, and that smoothie looks 👍🏾
Is there A network of like-minded doctors such as yourself that I may use to find a doctor local to me here in NYC Queens? I have a PCP, and a cardiologist I consulted with, specifically about a high cholesterol of 230 with LDL 157 (LDL-P 2022), HDL 58, Triglycerides 89.
Since this last blood test reading above, taken 2 months ago, I've decided to eliminate sugar, all processed food, and keep complex carbs to 100gm daily with IF of 16:8 four to five times a week; subsequently, I've also lost 10lbs. It's my understanding that low-carb and sugar elimination may help convert my small dense LDL type b to large buoyant LDL type a.
May doctors don't believe:
1. That small LDL vs large LDL makes any difference.
2. That small LDL can be converted to large LDL.
3. That CAC (coronary calcium score) is not credible test at all.
They both just insist I take a statin. That lowering my LDL is the only imperative factor I should concern myself with. The cardiologist I consulted immediately concurred with my PCP recommending a statin. ASTONDINGLY, when I asked the cardiologist about my good HDL and triglycerides, he said he didn't even know what those numbers were! He was just looking at LDL!
I need a doctor in NYC that subscribes to alternate thinking on cholesterol- that is at least open to changing LDL levels and LDL types, without the use of statins.
As an aside- all my other metabolic numbers, full blood work, are well withing normal ranges.
Thanks- Joe Queens NYC.
So silly......thanks Doc
This smoothie would kill my GI.
Kefir instead of yogurt
All polyphenols inactivated by milk yogurt. Sub coconut milk or coconut yogurt instead.
10/10 on the cringe scale, doc. 😉
Drank this and became instantly sick to my stomach. Maybe try a tiny glass to start with. Not a smoothie for beginners!!
3T Goji berries is way too many. In that dose they will mess with the gut, not help it. Check with a nutritionist and herbalists. A small handful is what you want. Also if someone has gut issues the coconut milk isn't going to go down easy either.
Sorry but you use everything good and fail on the vanilla not a good kind quality
😂😂
brother how many fucking edits can you put into a smoothie recipie? holy shit
the irony of your smoothie all of them were processed for easy blendering
That's what turned me off. If I'm blending no way I would use prepackaged
How can you get Shia seeds and goji berries and maca not packaged? I use fresh banana and fresh dates and freshly cut turmeric but the other stuff it only comes packages mostly
