Glad you like it Ed, there is just something magical about the 50`s, its an era that had it all, the Car`s, Rock`n`Roll, a new name for kids,IE Teenagers, There is so much to list, drive in`s, cruisin, hot-rods, i was conceived in the 50`s, never got out until early 1960, but i have a great infinity to the 50`s and America gave it all to the world, too many its now a life time choice, to live in the 50`s, i eat and breath 1950`s, i was born too late but making up for it since 1975, they call us ( Teddyboys ) from the UK, where im from, you sure were lucky to have gone through a magical time, it would have suited me and many others like me, take care of yourself with this virus Ed..
the under hoop skirt also had 1 or 2 sets of crinolines laying over it...and the rolled up bobby socks or just black ballet flats...button down cardigans worn backwards.... we be-booped and danced the Strand.👍

I wished that we had a time machine to where I could travel back to those good old days, and to know what I know now... what a great time I would have....
I would do the same, take a modern camera back and 1000 SD cards, the photos i would take, and the places and people i would go and see, might even pop up on Bandstand, what a time i would have..

So you keep safe my friend lockdown and everthing....... this music you have put together fantastico........Ed..... E.J.T
I know what you mean, Rock`n`Roll is a universal language, there is no other music like it, i became a Teddyboy in the 70`s and today im still a Teddyboy, its a lifestyle choice many of us have made, social media is full of us Teds, we love the 50`s, mainly America as you had all the things we can only dream about, the cars, you certainly showed the world how to make great cars, Diners are something we can only dream about, as for drive ins, our little country doesnt have the room, shame really as we have embraced so much you had that we didnt, we did have a few of our own home grown Rockers, but nothing like Eddie Cochran, Gene Vincent, Buddy Holly, Bill Haley, Chuck Berry, Little Richard, Connie Francis, Wanda Jackson, i better mention Elvis, he was great in the 50`s, as were they all, also love Doo-Wop, fantastic sound from those groups, thats singing..Glad you enjoyed the video, its great to get feedback from people who like the video and was also there..

Thank you so much for your message, it makes it all the more worthwhile when i make these videos, its an era i love the most, but for the 50s kids today would have nothing, the 50s gave us the Teenagers, Rock`n`Roll, fantastic cars, and many other things that go hand in hand with this era, enjoy all the great memories..
I remember...had some hot cars" 64 Chevy impala,buick"88,Chevy 2/ 283,roadrunner,383cc and first hear throb Estelle benet( ronnie) always be first love...
Everything looked so colourful cars, signs, building, places, music, not like that any more now have enjoyed watching good work putting it together brilliant loved ♥️ it👌
Growing up in fifties was a magical time. A more simpler time to be sure. Your neighbors were like an extended family . I think for the most part people cared more about each other.
Its the only music i like, the 50s had something no other era had, the Teenagers, kids who pulled away from their parents and walked their own path with Rock`n`Roll, the music is a universal language to everyone..
I was born in 1955 so missed all these great times, I was a teddy boy in the seventies also, they were great times as well. The fifties in England wouldnt have been as good as the U,S.people in England were very poor in those days and millions of us lived in slums, we were still clearing up from the war . I have been lucky enough in the last thirty odd years to own quite a few classic Amarican cars, I love them all ,and the music. They were very lucky in the U.S. all the great cars, diners, drive ins, ect.Keep the vidioes coming. And can someone hurry up and invent a time machine so we can go back to fifties America and get away from these crap times.Stay safe buddy.
Many missed out on the start, but we can always catch up, like yourself i became a Teddyboy in the 70's, im still a Ted today, for us the 70's were magic down to the cafes and pubs we went to and not forgetting the gigs, and seeing our stars from the 50`s coming to England, some for the very first time, i put that down to the 70's revival that we were a part of. England of the 50`s was a drab and dreary place to be, many areas still had bombed out buildings from the war, there were no diners, no drive thru`s, we did have the greasy spoon cafes, and some very good Rock`n`Roll singers of our own, like Tommy Steele, Marty Wilde, Terry Dene, Dickie Pride..
HI Old Age teddyboy, thank you for this "musical slideshow". it is very well made. Thank you for bringing me back to a time of innocence and peace (before I was called up for service), thank you for the memories. Peace be with you, Ciao, L (Veteran).
Great selection! Missing the era timely and geographically as well, I fell in love with it's cars and sounds (music speaking to me more than the current one and engines bigger than those downsized contemporary ones) few years ago. Finally found my time machine - 2020 Challenger with gigabytes of Doo Wop and Rock n Roll played onboard when cruising back roads... Its my island of world as it should be. Greetings from heart of Europe. Stay safe and keep the memories, it's good for us namely in these strange times.
There are many ways top keep great memories alive, i have a group on social media, FB, called The Fabulous 50`s, come over and join, invite your friends..
Also the fifties is when the color paint came about they started painting over stained woodwork and making colorful fridges and stoves and no them days will not come back ever again the new generation right now they wouldn't want to live through that neither you can't even find out young man on the street to help you with your race car anymore they're all into that computer or phone but I still have my 68 Coronet RT with the 440 Magnum Hemi 4 speed 18 spline Dana 60 with a 456 gear 1050 wrinkle walls slicks I ran us 30 drag strip 45 years ago ran 1270 150 mph in a quarter I look at it and want to bring it back out but I'll be the only old car on the street to who made that video man I love it thank you
Wow - what a great selection of pictures - brought me back to a time before my time and I can relive it through your video! Thanks for all your hard work in putting it together...
Im afraid we won't see these days any time soon, they lasted such a short time, but they had a deep impression on many people, even those who were born long after..
@@williamredfern5504 Im still a Ted today, its more of a lifestyle choice these days, still got hair and can get a pretty good Quiff, although these days its more salt with a touch of pepper, same as me mutton chops, im still that English Ted i was all those yrs ago, got some fantastic memories from back in the day..
Thats great, got to admit the music of the 50`s will never die, and the cars were fantastic, it would cost you a mortgage to buy one today, what cost you $2000 back in the 50`s can easily fetch upwards of $70,000 depending on the car..
50s America was so different to life in spartan 50s Britain ,no dinners ,shiny cars or record hops ,just grey suites ,trilby hats 1930s and 40s cars ,owning your own motor car was a rarity in Britain ,many families had a notor cycle and sode car if they were lucky .Love the music selection here ,do woo ect ,very enjoyable ❤
Your not wrong there, would loved to have had a diner to go to, but we had our cafe with a jukebox, and we asked the owner if we bought the records would they put them in, and they said yes, we filled it with 50s Rock`n`Roll, glad you liked it, there are many many more like this, will be making another one soon...
MY FAVORITE : 56 2 dr Ford Fairlane and the great 57 Chevy 2 dr. Belare and it has to be a stick shift . When i got out of the Army in 66.My first new car was a 67 Pontiac 2dr Lemans with the 326 V8 HO. It ran on premian 97 Octane. I drive it occasionally on nice days. I'm 78 yrs. old. Gonna put it up for adoption this summer. Would rather sell it myself for the fun of it. It's 54 yrs. old. It will be a said day. O well !
If i could go back in time and buy a car or two first on the list would be the 57 Chevy Bel-Air, two tone, next would be the 1957 Ford Fairlane 500 Skyliner Convertible with Retractable Hardtop, and a 1957 Cadillac Eldorado Biarritz and last but not least 1957 Plymouth savoy, all 57`s
Sometimes we parked along the drag and jumped into other cars cruisin as mixed couples/friends or with "strangers" we met at stop lights from other Hi Schools...radios were blaring r&r...we even had a KQEO radio "kissin' tone."
Hi B AM22, we did the same in the Northeast - I remember "Lover's Lane" in the sixties, cars all lined up, we would share food and "pops", and sometimes marvel at our respective car engines. We had real DJ's back then, live people you could call pretty much like in "American Graffiti", it was CFOX 1470 (pronounced C-Fox). I went to school in the big city (Montreal, QC, Canada), Friday and Saturday nights were fair game for us in the summer - and in the winter, we would "fog the windows"!. Remember the Sock Hops? Peace be with you, Ciao from Maine, L.

Oldies but goodies cars and oldies music remember when
Born in late 50’s love the music
Cool tunes , cool cars👍👍👍😎😎😎
Thanks.
This country was like your favorite Dog. You loved it! You enjoyed it, everything was an exiting adventure. But it couldn’t last forever.RIP Maxy boy. You were the best America could offer!🇺🇸🇺🇸🇺🇸
Hi buddy whether from the UK or THE -USA
we all speak the same language Rock n Roll
like i say i born in 1941
1958 17 yrs old ... i had my own rock band
our venue Saturday night was the Rock-it-Diner
(the best Hotdogs ..in Utah.... hot music ...hot coffee.... hotdog ( no drugs ) the music we played was our drug... im 79 now been in Vietnam flew helicopter gunship

my parents taught me guitar and piano.. granny taught me banjo...and fiddle..... bluegrass was granny's music .. mine R.n.R..
So you keep safe my friend lockdown and everthing....... this music you have put together
fantastico........Ed.....
Hello Edwin. My brother was a helicopter gunship pilot too. I would like to thank you and welcome you back HERO !
God bless you ♥️🇱🇷🇱🇷🇱🇷🇱🇷🇱🇷💕💞🥰♥️♥️🇱🇷🇱🇷🇱🇷♥️♥️🇱🇷🇱🇷🇱🇷🇱🇷🇱🇷
I was born 1942
Thank you for your service to our country.
Can't miss the great voice of Johnny Maestro singing in this collection - 16 Candles & Pretty Little Angel
Excellent time to live
Who would have ever guessed that in a while we would head off to Vietnam. We took with us the memories of the girls, the cars, and this music.
That was a war that didnt have to be fought, it was already fought in 1945, When Britain who was responsible for the repatriation of Japanese prisoners of war re-armed the Japanese and pushed them so far back, let me show you the video, but year there was plenty of Music and cars

Thank you ❤️ for this time capsule of great times, cars, friends and rock-n-roll !!! We can't return to those golden days. But with the help of great people like you we can visit from time to time. Bless you 🙏.
@@OldAgeTeddyboy Even John Lennon said, "There was nothing before Elvis." Wow, that says something about the 50s.
@@jameshileman9326 Its correct, without the 50s there would be no music today.
Good numbers and sound listening to rock and roll rock & roll will never die
I remember...had some hot cars" 64 Chevy impala,buick"88,Chevy 2/ 283,roadrunner,383cc and first hear throb Estelle benet( ronnie) always be first love...
This brought back the days when I drove my '55 Oldsmobile to and from high school. Thank you!
Your welcome, i have other videos that are similar to this one, you would enjoy them as well..
Portugal 🇵🇹... loves the 50s.
Thanks for sharing great video great times

That was great seeing the Vegas sign, currently living here but transplant from Central California years & years ago
Check out some of my other videos, im in the process of making another video, going to make it longer with much more music and pictures..
Thanks!
Man I am 30 yrs old I wish I lived in the 50s I drive a car from. The 50s 1955 ford crown victoria
All the cars of today all look alike.
Great Music and great historical journey combined!!!
Great mix of music. From Doo Wop to Rockabilly.
Great perspective.
@@deconry Thank you...
It's never to late, please enjoy my music 😎
Ok please keep it to one paragraph 😃
HI Old Age teddyboy, thank you for this "musical slideshow". it is very well made. Thank you for bringing me back to a time of innocence and peace (before I was called up for service), thank you for the memories. Peace be with you, Ciao, L (Veteran).
Your more than welcome, only just found your reply, i enjoy making these videos, finding the music to go with the pictures is a lot of fun..
My favorite car was 55 crown Victoria my uncle had one it was pink and white
Ford did make some great cars back then, and the 55 Crown ranks up there with the best..
@@OldAgeTeddyboy can i join you? Pls
58 Plymouth. Favourite car.
@@isaacsrandomvideos667 Fully understand:-) One of the greatest design shapes ever...
Saw a 2020 Challenger at a car show. The tag said, 70s DNA.
In the 1950's & 1960's we were free and enjoyed freedom unlike any experienced before! Thank God I grew up in this generation!
Not black folks or women, Roy. Jim Crow laws and more made life very much NOT free for them.
J'ADORE vraiment SUPER.
Thanks real y thanks alot for this music 😊😊😢😢😢
What a great show, as a UK petrol head some great shots of American classics and some beautiful LBit of music In the backgrounds
Petrol is getting expensive at the moment, there are some great cars out there, wish i could go back and buy a few..
Also the fifties is when the color paint came about they started painting over stained woodwork and making colorful fridges and stoves and no them days will not come back ever again the new generation right now they wouldn't want to live through that neither you can't even find out young man on the street to help you with your race car anymore they're all into that computer or phone but I still have my 68 Coronet RT with the 440 Magnum Hemi 4 speed 18 spline Dana 60 with a 456 gear 1050 wrinkle walls slicks I ran us 30 drag strip 45 years ago ran 1270 150 mph in a quarter I look at it and want to bring it back out but I'll be the only old car on the street to who made that video man I love it thank you
So fabulous I had to watch and listen to it again today!!!
I love the songs from the rock and roll
And I like the the vintage cars as wall .
Wow - what a great selection of pictures - brought me back to a time before my time and I can relive it through your video! Thanks for all your hard work in putting it together...
Your very welcome, i have my eye on the next video, and have some even more amazing pictures to go with it, glad you like it, i enjoy making them..

I remember the 50s in Gary,In. what a great time to be a teen
all gone now so sad
The 50s lasted a short time, but what an impact it has left for future generations to enjoy..
I wish I lived in this time
Im afraid we won't see these days any time soon, they lasted such a short time, but they had a deep impression on many people, even those who were born long after..
I did and still do in GB still got my hair ect, not fat ,music and old fords I am 75,,
@@williamredfern5504 Im still a Ted today, its more of a lifestyle choice these days, still got hair and can get a pretty good Quiff, although these days its more salt with a touch of pepper, same as me mutton chops, im still that English Ted i was all those yrs ago, got some fantastic memories from back in the day..
I am told I should have been born in the 50s because I could tell you all the motor options in a lot of 50s cars and I like the old music
Thats great, got to admit the music of the 50`s will never die, and the cars were fantastic, it would cost you a mortgage to buy one today, what cost you $2000 back in the 50`s can easily fetch upwards of $70,000 depending on the car..
Extrem Klasse! Lg from Germany :)
Loving this the music was so pure back then
fantastique une vraie merveille 👍 merci beaucoup
I LOVE your Channel, 😍😍😍😍😍😍
Thank you...
t'es vidéo sont fantastique ça fait rêver merci beaucoup 👍
Your very welcome..
I would sell my soul to be able to go back and be a teen in that era.
A much simpler life style. I remember Cruising the strip in the mid 60's early 70's👍
