Recycling Denim Into Glasses | Art Insider - Хобби
I'm impressed not about the glasses. But, look at all the wood tools he created to produce this.
You are amazing
Dope how cnc machine is used to cut the glasses, and the some of the tools in the manufacturing process.
@@gravecodedelete your profile picture please.
He's got creativity in his 'jeans'.
(🥁Bah-da-bum, tsssss)
🤣🤣🤣
This is clearly a man who has found his craft. Such dedication is great to see.
Wow! That’s an obsession. Mind boggling just seeing all the tooling involved to just get setup to make these pieces. Works of art…Bravo!
I mean if you can do this with denim - you can do this with any fabric scraps (perhaps if the fabric is thin you'll require more layers but still will absolutely work!) it's a new way of recycling, I also think you may recycle not just glasses this way but other accessories too! This is cool!🔥
Exactly , Micarta is a popular material and extremely durable . Linen and burlap micarta are quite popular
Love the dedication in this process.
Such an intricate and long process I'm sure ...very unique.❤️Can't imagine the cost of one pair.💰💰
235€ in Germany
@@omrimayer11 On the high end for sure

The glasses are awesome! What an artist 💜
We should be doing more upcycling as a society. Yes, I do it everywhere I can. In my art and in my everyday life! It makes life much much more interesting and beautiful. Much better for out environment. No more fast fashion! 💜✌
I'm not an expert...but it seems to me like this process generates substantially more waste that CANNOT be recycled and also will not biogedrade like simple denim scraps would...it seems like a neat idea but net negative impact as far as environmental waste is concerned. I would love to be proven wrong by someone who knows more than I.
Fast fashion exists for a reason. Affordability and much wider range of sizes. Something will need to replace that for it to end.
@@whatever3145 Try thrifting or using what you already have. There is no reason to keep up with every single stupid trend that exists on this planet. Try wearing and reimagining what you own!
I don't understand how people need quantity or quality that lasts weeks over years.
I get it when it comes to children but even then people go overboard too!
Other countries and your own for that matter may be swimming in wasted cloth from used clothes. Look into it. You may be surprised. If not it's to bad to close your eyes to be a part of the problem.
@@ZacharySkaggs You're 100% correct. Don't get me wrong I think this is an awesome idea, but it certainly won't have a positive environmental effect. They are recycling something that is biodegradable, adding a lot of plastic, and creating something non biodegradable. Again I'm not slamming the creator, it's an awesome idea, I love it.
He recycled biodegradable denim using lots of synthetic resin. Hurray!
I was just about to ask this. Would it have been better to just make the frame out of resin?
Hahaha I know!
Generating much more toxic waste.... There are many better ways to repurpose denim without making expensive polluting glasses frames.... Just like those who buy electric cars thinking they're doing a favor to environment..... 😂💩🤡🚮
Its cool regardless, and I don't see where it says what sort of resin its made with. I also don't see the need for unnecessary negativity. You also ignored what goes into manufacturing fabrics.
@@ollie7597 let's be optimistic, let's assume he didn't do it for money also. ???
When I think about the most comfortable thing to wear on my face ,denim is the first thing that comes to mind
We need more people like this
That's actually really cool and unique. Stylish as well
The perfect final touch to a Canadian Tux.
You need a manbun to wear this
I love this process true craftsmanship
The boys will love these new Jlasses
Идея супер джинсы часто выкидывают бесплатное сырьё для производства изделий. Мастер умелые руки ✋🖐👋
That’s true labour of love!
Impressive skills & perfect set of tools.
BEAUTIFUL BC they are hand made... love love these
They're great! This guy's got amazing talent and crafting skills!! Unfortunately,it won't make a dent in the waste problem unless production can be scaled up quite high.
Lovely made production line.
Amazing!😮
this is genious great work!
Lot of hard work here 🙏👍
Micarta...my favorite
Outstanding
Brilliant.
Ultra creative guy this glass looks like brand 🔥
Bravo Jack Spencer, Bravo 🙌
Fantastico, complimenti!👏🏽👏🏿👏🏻
What a neat idea! I want a pair!
This man is doing a living out of a maximum of 60 glasses sold per month, they're not exactly cheap
Creatividad Señores y señoras
... Creatividad !!!
If you impregnate ANYTHING with resin it can be sunglass frames.
We don’t have an issue with world wide denim contaminants.
We have a problem with plastic.
But thanks again for solving an issue that wasn’t there.
Thats pretty bad ass man!
Pretty rad.
So cool
Maravilloso !!!!!!!
Desde Argentina un saludo con admiración y respeto de Eduardo Lloreda....
Very cool
Super idea 👽👍
Muito lindo. Parabéns do Brasil
Most amazing inventions of human kind in production process:
1. Economy of scale
2. Devision of labour
3. Assembly line
4. Automation
This guy: Imma pretend that never happened. Also, one frame will cost you 200 dollars, sir because remember? We're saving the planet!
Dope
I like how you guys didn't even bother making his website link clickable in the description. 😂👍😎
Q chulo me encanta😉
Super 👌
This is so cool
Any advice for what to use to attach a thick cord to the side to replace the legs? I tried hot glue lol worked for a bit but came off. Gorilla glue?
AWESOMEEEEEEEEEEEEEEE
I want a pair.
Браво мајсторе..то могу само Срби😁
Man I would love a pair, but short on clash.
Congratulations, excellent idea excellent process. How much they cost?
ill buy this
The only sad part is in spite of the low cost of production most of these recycled products are so expensive that they never reach the masses, which beats the whole purpose.
Exactly, do you think this dude will sell this glass at normal price range !!! Nah. Capitalism at its finest.
C'mon look at all the hours of work he puts in, how much do you expect him to sell it? Unless he figures out a way to automate most of the process. He will hardly be able to lower the price ...
@@XsmaelTheBest7 I completely understand your point. And I'm not at all against the profits he's making. My only concern is the environmental factor.
There's a thing about such products, these are mostly manufactured for the premium segment of users and hence, the quantity sold is less. Or you may say, they're priced so high that it becomes unaffordable for the most users. But if it's made for a larger base of consumers by reducing the profit margin, the profit will definitely surpass the previous profit margins with the help of economy of scales.
Also, if these products have been truly designed keeping in mind the eco friendly feature, then I think the manufacturer won't be going after huge profit margins, but with lesser profits and huge environmental impact. In the end, it majorly depends on the ulterior motive the manufacturer has behind his/her brilliant innovation.
I e followed him for a while now. 🔥🔥🔥
Ooooooh. He has discovered linen ( cotton) micarta. We been making knife scales and pistols grip panels out of it for about 70 years now. How inovative.
Да. Вот это вещь. 👍
Hi where do you get the brass attach pieces please I want to try out I will buy the pieces or website 🎉
Clever
No one is strong in his own strength, but he is safe by the grace and mercy of God.
I'll have one.
Im shocked by how affordable these are. The process seems grueling. How can you make any money out of this?
best 🙂👍
Like a baous 😎👍
Awesome must be expensive then other ordinary glass.
To find happiness, u need to find something to hold on to. Something to motivate you and something to inspire you. A fellow creator ❤️.
We take jeans and cotton , flax and hemp that decompose in the ground for a year, and turn them into a pile of non-decomposable toxic, waste! And ,of course he works professionally with his hands !
It's handcrafted so it must be good and everything! 😁
Шикарно
Nice, creative, genius! Where are they sold in the US?
I think you need to have them shipped, since he makes them. Website probably provides US shipping included.
I can finally level up to quadruple denim now
Can anyone tell me this liquid name?
Я бы сделал из всего этого набор для сборки и в таком виде продавал)
👍👍👍👍👍
I've always wanted to look like a JEANious ♻️🧠👖
How can I buy
Ну, обалдеть
These are cool but the process that gets the resin infused with the denim seems very inefficient.
I wants it
Very good innovation...but the fact is that why?....plastic frame with the texture or print of jeans will be much much cheaper...
Why do we have a knockoff sweet home alabama playing in the background
So basically denim micarta. Gotcha
I thought maybe with a pair of jeans , more frames could be done.
Def wouldnt have gone with that pitted metal look myself
I thought resins were still toxic even after its "finished". Is it only cetain kinds?
Without the resins denim would still just be cloth, resin gives it form. Well done to the creator Jack, but I should think the cost could be astronomical.
@@mypointofview1111 no I understood that part but I remember there being a big trend of using resin for jewelry but creators were using reain that doesn't ever actually fully cure meaning it was still toxic and ppl were getting sick
@@leacotaco ...no. the process makes people sick, not the product. Unless they did it wrong. Resin earrings use metal posts anyways it doesn't touch your skin
@@whatever3145 ah okay ty
*turns biodegradable material into nonbiodegradable material* ah yes, recycling✨
Jlasses
Manufacturing time is too ...muchh.. man it would take a hard effort to scale to meet demands
Porfavor me vendes unos ? Te pasaste de cornetas !
Can I get this one 😂
Next, glasses made by hundred bill
😱😃👏👏👏👍
I thought I didn't use the machine

It's an ad. I doubt he is using recycled denim. Just a marketing stratergy.
micarta has been around since 1910
Looks like new jeans
