  • In this tutorial I show a couple of ways to create HDR for real estate, how to process single RAWs, and why I prefer the Flambient method, which I show in my real estate photography series at amzn.to/3mFoznx

    Hi Nathan. Great Video. I heard in this video you saying that there is no "Batch Mode" for blending HDR. I used to use "LR Enfuse" It was great for batching and syncing WB. The only thing is, it only works with LR that has been purchased and not supported by the CC subscription.

    I'm willing to enter the real estate photography world and this tutorial was simply amazing. Little details make the most difference. Thanks for sharing.

    Hi Nathan,
    Thank you for the great videos, learned allot and I like the flambient technique! My question: can a dx Nikon 7200 be used and what wide lens would you suggest ?
    Another request can you make the presets from photoshop and Lightroom downloadable?

    • @NathanCoolPhoto
      @NathanCoolPhoto  7 лет назад +1

      DX can be used, but since I do other work outside of RE I'm all FX, so I'm not sure what lens would be best on the 7200.

      Jeton R Nathan Cool Photo any wide angle that works on FX would work on a DX but with a 1.5crop factor. I too have the Tokina 16-28mm f/2.8 and I would recommend buying one used to start and see what it gets you.

    Hi Nathan, I am using my Nikon D810 with its HDR function and most part of the time is ok. The best part is that all the process is in the camera. I want to try your method to get better results. Are you using Photomatix Pro 5 with your Lightroom? Do you think that I need it?

    • @ferx966

      Nathan, before spending time with my question, I used your method and it works very well without any plug ins. Excellent. Also the video about the always blue sky is great. Thanks,

    I know settings will vary from house to house and room to room, but what are your settings for your ambient shots generally? Also, do you have any information on how to export the best quality pictures for the MLS?

    • @NathanCoolPhoto
      @NathanCoolPhoto  7 лет назад

      It varies, and I usually mention the settings in other videos, this one may help: ruclips.net/video/M8tIUU9unos/видео.html As for MLS, it varies, ours allows high res up to 15MB, but I export all from LR using sRGB

    Thank you so much Nathan. I am in the position where I am adding stills to my video offerings (I started as an aerial videographer) and have a definite time-crunch in terms of having to choose a workflow that will be consistent, time-saving and, most of all of the highest quality I can offer. I was about to shell out some more $$$ to get Photomatix because I thought it may be an easy quick-fix but it would seem that with a little time invested into this process (flambient) I may have the answer I've been looking for. I can always add Photomatix later or use Lr's HDR for quick listings if I need to, but it would seem that having this skill down would cover 99% of all the bases that I need to cover. Picking up on your techniques for using speed-lights as well. I'm really glad I found your channel. Subbed

    What are you using to trigger your camera and flash when you are walking around the room providing extra flash images?

    • @NathanCoolPhoto
      @NathanCoolPhoto  7 лет назад

      Cactus triggers...any radio transmitter triggers would do. I show it in a few videos, like this one a few minutes in: ruclips.net/video/AfX_l3p9ojo/видео.html

      I do all my work with full frame cameras since RE is not the only photography I do. Get the gear to do more and you can pursue other work.

    Hello Nathan... Do you re-size for output, if so what size do you generally output at?

    • @NathanCoolPhoto
      @NathanCoolPhoto  6 лет назад

      All MLS's are different, ours allows for 15MB max, dimensions don't matter.

    Nathan, what model Yongnuo flash are you using/recommend?

    • @NathanCoolPhoto
      @NathanCoolPhoto  7 лет назад +1

      I use YN560 3s, but all of them are the same, I have an old YN 560 2 that does just as well as the YN560 4. The 4 has remote trigger capability, which I don't need (since I use Cactus triggers across all my lights).

    What is "Luminosity" and how do I apply it?

    • @NathanCoolPhoto

      It's a layer blending mode. I show it in a ton of my tutorials, including this one: ruclips.net/video/WEo7tfp5Zds/видео.html

      Depends on the situation, but always in the "distant diamond" pattern, when I can, which I talk about in my interiors book: www.amazon.com/gp/product/B07FF9HSR5?ref=series_rw_dp_labf
