Greeting dear ladies! Am a fellow Vancouverite myself also. Looking for a family physician is exactly like looking for a job, you will have better chances being referred through friends and relatives. That being said, don't believe everything the doctor tells you as they are very keen on prescribing medicines to you that you don't really need and probably detrimental to your health. Most of the time I usually just end up paying a Traditional Chinese Medicine doctor who has been serving me well for over 20 years. The same rule goes for dentist also, as they often call for frequent X rays & dental cleaning that is basically a cash grab.

haha I don't know about efficiency to be honest. Depending on the task, I guess. I needed to go back to Hong Kong for a short visit earlier this year. Before I went, I got some Hong Kong dollars at Vancity, the whole process took me 15 minutes. When I was in Hong Kong, I needed to do a simple money transfer. I waited for well over an hour queued up in a bank. Another half an hour for the bank clerk to complete the transfer... The experience was infuriating...
I worked one full-time job and two part-time jobs in 1980 to down payment for my first house in Calgary. All the Chinese immigrants who came to Vancouver in the '70s and '80s were not rich like those New Hong Kong immigrants. We all worked one and a half jobs to get ahead.

You guys are not updated about tipping . Ever since they introduced that feature of tipping 12, 15, 20 , 25 percent on the card machine . More and more restaurant owners start taking nearly 75 percebt of the tips that’s meant to be shared amongst servers and kitchen staff . It’s just crazy . Now servers cannot really rely on the 28:06 tippings serving customers . That’s also one of the reasons why more servers seem not happy going to work.

有錢就香港最妥！要閒靜有離島，新界，高尚的半山港島南，要高興的半小時車程鬧通宵也有。最便是隨手有人用，維修，服務，送貨，一天即妥。普通人都可以有家傭。其實也不用富有，三千萬港元資產已不錯的了！
