John, keeping doing your videos exactly the way you've been doing them! I enjoy riding along with you and hearing you talk. This video was extra special for me. I just lost my mother this year, and my dad has had to move in with my brother. I go over to check on the house I grew up in when I can. It was once filled with my grandparents, my parents, and my three brothers and me. I always feel the nostalgia - and the pain of loss - you seem to be expressing when talking about your grandparents and the old days. When I was a kid in the 70s and 80s my house was like a circus - crowded and loud! Now its empty and lonely. Guess I'm really feeling the pull of time since losing my mom. I appreciate you sharing your experiences in that beautiful country, and I hope you can somehow hold onto your grandparents old farm - if only to share with your own kids and grandkids. Keep up the great videos and stories! I'll be looking forward to them. Joe
Hi Jo and thank you for stopping by!! I’m glad my feelings about my family farm struck a chord for you. I’m sooo lucky to still have both my parents but we lost my wife’s mom 13 years ago to cancer. I love the times I can go back and kind of relive my childhood a little. And this farm will definitely stay in my family for many years to come. One of my cousins is hoping to build a house there one day which would be great. I might just have to do a ride to my other grandparent’s old farm. It’s kept up a lot better than this one.
This is the best ride so far, I grew up on gravel roads out in the country in Ark., and that is where I road all the time and not on "fat tires" either. 😋😋 Please don't change anything about the way you ride it makes no difference if you ride the same trail. The scenery is always changing and you never know who you might meet or what you might see on each and every ride. I have enjoyed listening to you chat on your rides and looking at the scenery where ever you go. I end up riding in my mind back home and seeing the home place as I ride with you. Sounds crazy but I bet a lot of people feel the same when watching your videos and listening to you chat. Again thanks for another one of your wonderful rides.
Thank you so much! People like you make it easy to continue making videos. But there is always someone that doesn’t and doesn’t mind telling you about it. I need to ignore those people and just do what I like. I just try to make everyone happy which is impossible 😀. I’ll continue what I do as long as you and the others enjoy them. Have a great weekend. Hope to upload another one soon!
Just love your videos! Keep doing what you do best, it's your video and your life! Remembering our childhood is a good thing to do, brings all those loved ones back to life and gives our children some family history God Bless!🙏💕😊👍
Thanks Karen…that really means a lot to me!😊 I just try to record what I think others might like to see. Of course I have to enjoy it too😁. I hope to get back out soon, work and weather permitting!
I started ebike riding a few months ago after many years on a road bike. I’m 80 so my kids got me into it! I really enjoy your videos on the various trail s rather than the ones where folks just ride the streets or paved paths. Keep up the great work!
I appreciate that Brother! Part 2 is coming today and this time Lisa went with me. Wait until you see the amazing lake right out the road from the farm! 😎
Hi John! Thanks for taking us for a ride to your past. What beautiful country! You had to have a blast roaming around there as a kid. I'm surprised there is electric on a road that rural. I vote for any content you have time to post. I enjoy your stories as much as the ride.
Hi Dan and thanks…I really appreciate that! I had some of the best times of my life there. Hunting, fishing, riding dirt bikes, and even working on the farm. There is nothing like the country life. I might go back and ride the rest of that road. I have a lot of stories about the rest of the road!
Started following you due to your ebike content, staying subbed for your stories and the pretty trail rides you take. Love hearing the history of the random places you know and seeing where your wanderings take you. Some other ideas for content would be basic ebike maintence, how you choose your rides (trails, places, history), and choose the bike you take for your rides (I ride a recumbent etrike). Seeing the same trails doesn't bother me, in fact it helps inspire me to get out on my bike/trike too!
Hi Sherri and thanks for the kind words! I really appreciate you😃. To be honest, I’m not real skilled on bike maintenance 😂. I’m better at finding interesting places to ride and talking about them. But I’ll think about some of your suggestions and see what I can do😃. Thanks again!
Stay just like you are. I thought I made a video about my new bike but I didn't. I didn't push record thing on my phone. I talked to the phone but when I got home nothing was there on the phone. I gave myself a laugh. 🤣
Thanks for sharing. No problems going over the same travels as long as you got something to talk about. It could be anything. By the way, what's your thoughts on Wheeling? You can answer me here or privately.
Thanks for the input. I really don’t have a lot of experience with Wheeling. I’ve been there quite a few times but haven’t spent much time there. They hold the High School football playoffs there at Wheeling Island. It’s pretty hilly even for West Virginia standards. Why do you ask?
Wheeling used to be the capitol of WV when it first became a state. It’s also in a nice location along the Ohio river and not far from Pittsburgh and Columbus, OH. They have a boat festival there each summer called the stern wheel regatta I believe. There is a real nice Cabella’s outside of town which is a plus too😃.
Hi, I jumped the fence & bought a engwe pro2 off Craigslist. 30 miles on it. Vet with a wooden leg don't like it. It's a ball.so different from my XP but yet somehow so alike. I have done the brakes, seat, post, freewheel. Only ridden it 9 miles so far due to rain.
@@ReflectionsofOurLife I will. I found out today that if you load the rack top heavy even a little it makes it unstable. I am not used to the tires yet.
@@ReflectionsofOurLife I am not accustomed to the way the bike handles. The footprint of the bike is different from the other bikes i ride. It's in my head. I leaned over a little too much at a stop thinking the tires will support me. They don't. It won't happen again. 4x20" BFT tires. Maxxim makes them, good tires. It's a little slow from a stop, but it hauls ass. The battery is awesome. Makes my XP look bad. 8 miles at 29 mph and I used one bar. Flat road wind was very low.

We both watched this episode. You did a great job with it. Another idea for a video would be at our farm when they do a fly in. Those are always fun.
Thanks. I might try that!

Thank you very much @ntfriz12! I really appreciate it! I’m glad to hear you found ebiking and wish you many years of riding.
Awesome Video Brother! Thanks for taking me along on the ride. It’s great seeing the foundations that made you such a great guy! See ya around ✌🏾

Best video of all cousin!
This was my favorite so far ❤️
Glad to see you back out. Nice day for a ride .
Thanks Janet! We finally got a nice day. Funny thing is that a thunderstorm came through later that day as we were finishing our family picnic!
Very nice I enjoy your videos all the time thank you have a nice day
Thanks Frank…I really appreciate it!😀
Beautiful!
Thank you! I appreciate you stopping by😃
This was a great idea for a video!
Thanks! It’s good to hear from you again. I’ll be back shortly…I hope😀. The rest of that road has a lot of cool places and good stories as well!
Great video!
Had to laugh when you said you had to get out because the women took over!
Haha! Thanks! You don’t know how true that statement was😂
I made a video of my new bike. Tis time I pushed the button. That would make a good haunted house, just has that look. 😎
@saddletramp1200 That sounds great…I’ll have to check that out!

Thanks Saddletramp! That is funny but I’ve done that before as well…I never shared that story before though🤣

@@ReflectionsofOurLife Thanks for the reply. I've been following the real estate market and goings on there for a possible move in the next year.

👍. What’s the deal with the tires? Are they smaller tires?

I have read the battery will swap with the XP. If it's so I am going to buy another 13a Engwe battery for the XP and keep the 9.4 for extra power.
