Another great adventure thru a “ ghost” town. Good you show trials and tribulations of your rides! I’ve been laid up with a leg problem so riding vicariously along with you is my therapy!
Hi @ntfriz12! It’s great to hear from you again! You would think that town is a ghost town for sure. It gave me an uneasy feeling riding through there. It was the weirdest thing…I have a friend that said he never sees anyone there. I’ll have to look deeper into that town and see what’s going on. I like to show everything on our rides because they aren’t always all rosey!! I’m looking forward to continuing that trail soon. I’m sorry to hear about your leg and pray that it gets better soon.
I own a Catrike Dumont and have had no problems that you mentioned. My ride is so smooth and comfortable that I will never go back to any 2 wheel bike.
Hi @SFCRambo60! I hadn't heard of the bike you have but looked it up. Very nice design with the 2 wheels in the back! I also like the low center of gravity it has which makes it very stable. But it has a pretty hefty price tag for regular people like myself. The Trike that I was doing the video on was a $1400 bike and actually rides fairly decent based on the price for it. But I would recommend the Catrike over a regular trike any day.
Love your channel ❤. I was doing a lot of research for my e-bike. I had an electric scooter before. I’m a city rider in NYC but it’s my daily commuter. The extra power is great for traffic and keeping up off of stop lights. Great videos. Thanks for helping me make a great choice on the Rattan 750! 🎉
Hi @JayWednesday and thanks for the kind words! You have a lot more nerve than me riding in NYC!! I do fine on my lonely trails here in West Virginia 😂. I’m glad you like the Rattan bike…it’s hard not to like the more powerful motor. It has become my go to bike as well since we have a lot of steep hills here. It really makes me happy that my videos help in some small way! You have made my week sir! Have a great week and I hope to hear from you again❤️
Hi, looks like your enjoying the day. 103 here in Houston. The bright side is I no longer fear Hell. Have 2000 miles on my XP now. Still sweet as ever. Sold a couple more at the corner store yesterday. I made up some cards with my info to give to folks that are in the market. Nobody ever says who told the dealer I sent them. Just how i is. Have a great ride. 😁 The handlebar hit your leg. There are two kinds of riders. Those that have fallen, & those that will. Most of the bones in my body have been broken at some time. Ride hard & look good doin it. I have to carry my .45 for dogs that want a taste.
Hi Saddletramp! I saw you left a comment on my last video but the powers that be wouldn’t let me see it! Glad you got through this time. Man…that’s too hot for me! It’s been nice here in the low 80s for the last couple of weeks. Keep spreading the news…we will have the whole country on e-bikes before long😃. I believe you are right…the bruise looked a lot like a handlebar come to think about it. I’ll keep riding as long as I can walk away for a wreck and have the nerve to get back on💪. Have a great day buddy!!
Another great ride. Falling is no fun, for sure more clothing to keep the scrapes off the body. Love to see the "trike" rides, because of me and trikes. Love the "haunted" stories while you ride. Stay safe out there. Love the surprise ending. I laugh, I fell just trying to sit on the bike in garage. Nothing broke, so any fall you can get up from is a "good fall" as they say. Ouch!
Thanks! I like to show everything so people don’t think riding is all candy canes and rainbows!😂 I’m hoping to get down to Oak Hill soon and ride my Moms trike for sure. Also looking forward to continuing this trail. There is a haunted tunnel that I believe will be on the next leg of that trail!
Hi @patkuykendall6917! Thank you very much…I appreciate your kind words. We love sharing our outings with you all and it has become a great hobby for me. I’m currently working on two more videos that will be out soon. Another trail ride and I actually got to ride a Lectric Trike today that was bought by my mother. That was very interesting. Thanks again for stopping by and have a great week!!
I did the exact same thing you did, but on my motorcycle in Tennessee. Went to stop for a stop sign, put my right foot down and nothing was there. Was a 20 ft. embankment that I fell down in and my bike was upside down. Just my pride was hurt, but my bike had $1500 damage. Crazy stuff happens. lol
Hi Dan! I'm glad someone else understands 😂 That's one of those things that you don't think about when you stop on a two wheeler. I hope others see it and remember to be a little more observant and thoughtful when they stop than I did. I know I'll remember that every time I stop and/or attempt to get on a bike. A bike is one thing but a motorcycle would be horrible...I hate to hear that it happened to you but I'm glad you came out of that unhurt, other than some damage to the bike.
Thanks! We have a lot of trails around here to explore. I’ve been doing this for a little over 2 years and I still haven’t ridden all of them. The helmets have been a great addition especially if you ride with someone. It keeps you from having to yell all day and it works for up to a mile. I have a link in the video descryfor those too 😃 Not only can you talk to a friend but you can make hands free phone calls, listen to music from your phone and listen to local radio stations.
On your trips do u carry an extra tire tube and repair kit or how do u manage to prepare. Im about to go to nyc and on central park trail but im not prepared and want to know what to buy if u get a flat?
Hi pangeria and thanks for stopping by!! I carry a tire repair kit with us at all times. If you look in the description of my video…click “more” and you will see some links to all the equipment I use. My kit has tire repair items along with some wrenches that fit the bolts to take the tire off if needed as well as to tighten any loose bolts that might occur. I ordered the kit from Amazon. You could also just carry a can of Fix-a-flat to repair the tire until you get home and can fix it more properly. That will save you some time on the trail. A lot of people also use a can of tire slime that you can add to your tires before you go out on your ride that automatically seals any small punctures and keep the tire from going flat.
To reflections of our life. Just to let you know, I googled timber rattlesnake and the copperhead snake and you are misinformed about the copperhead being the more poisonous of the two.
Thanks for that information. I was always told to be very weary of copperheads. Maybe that's because they bite people more often since they are found around dwellings and where people are more likely to be. Rattle snakes are more likely to be out in the deep woods. I've seen a lot of copper heads in my day but never a Timber Rattler. I don't want to see either of them anyway! 😂
Lies about having to go slow and being careful on a Trike, a Trike is more stable than any 2 wheel bikes. I'm 73 years old and wish I had my Catrike Dumont 50 years ago. No neck pain, no shoulder pains, no wrist pains, no lower back problems anymore, and the most important thing is NO MORE BRUISING BETWEEN YOUR LEGS AND THE POSSIBILITY OF BLOOD CLOTS!!!!!!!!!!!!!
*Lies* is a pretty strong term @SFCRambo60! On a regular trike with the one wheel in the front can be tricky going over a hump or bump sideways. It also has a much higher center of gravity that the one you have. I feel way more comfortable going over humps and sideways across hills on a 2 wheel bike as compared to the one I tried out. Now yours with the 2 wheels in the front with the low center of gravity would be much better I'm sure. But different people are going to have different experiences on the same bike based on their comfort riding bikes of any kind. As I always say...it really is all up to the person and their preferences as to whether they like a certain bike or not. But I give you a lot of credit getting out there and biking at 73. I hope I still love it at that age.
@@ReflectionsofOurLifethat's apples to oranges, the recumbent trike has the wheel behind ( Tadpole). The trike you're pushing is a completely different and used to go to the store. So when you twist the truth and come up with a 3 wheel bike that you setup on, that's not a recumbent trike and you still might get blood clots between your legs and they are dangerous but not the Tadpole Recumbent Trike where your sitting like in a recliner.
What truth am I twisting? I said your “tadpole” would be much better. And I’m not pushing the trike. I was just riding a trike that my mother purchased and letting people know how I liked it. That’s all that I was doing. I’m sorry if I upset you in any way. I’m also not a doctor so I can’t recommend anything as giving or not giving blood clots. I have had blood clots and I’m currently on blood thinners to keep from getting them. But that wasn’t the point of the video.

Lol…I had to cover up what was coming out of my mouth!😂. I forget what I said about Mom. I’ll have to go back and see. But I’m an open book out here😃
