Whipping shaft - to much power, time to up grade 0.5mm on diameter on what you are using and maybe 50mm shorter shaft as it is a roller! Lovely jack BTW! LOL how funny is bowling bald man! Cheers for the laughs, Dive safe, have fun! 🤿🐟👊👍
Nice video - well done ! I'm actually heading across to Samoa for a short holiday myself and will be doing some spearing while there. May I ask where you were and who you contacted to get access to that boat ? Also, I didn't see any in your footage and it appeared that you were freely carrying your fish around with you once speared, so I imagine that there aren't many sharks and nor do they pose an issue - would that be correct ? Any and all advice will be sincerely appreciated - thanks in advance !
Hey Glenn - cheers for watching! So the first place we stayed at had a boat, the swell was quite large so it only dropped us at the reef edge, the name of the place was 'Vaiula Beach Fales'. The sharks were actually an issue! We lost quite a few fish to sharks whilst on the floatline. If solo diving I would stick the fish down your wetsuit. They were sneaky sharks that were very timid but great at getting fish off the floatline. My other piece of advice would be to check the size of the swell carefully and plan your entry and exit, the current can hammer through the reef openings. Enjoy! Its a great place for spearfishing.
Awesome video looks like you’re having a lot of fun!
Such a good mu and jack! And bluefin trevs are the goooods!!!
Cheers Sven, both were Great PB fish for me which was pretty mine blowing to pull off on a shoredive. Definitely put Samoa on your bucket list!
