I'll make this quick for you dude...Ismael died and never established a priesthood in the earth in scripture. NEVER. Ismael was never declared to be a high priest in the earth in any scripture. NEVER. Melchizedek? Aaron? Those were high priests recognized and declared BY GOD in scripture. Of the Messiah it was written "thou art a high priest FOREVER after the order of Melchizedek" that priesthood will NEVER be changed and ONLY that high priest, Messiah, is the author of salvation. ONLY that high priest, Messiah, is capable of making an atonement for sin on your behalf. Wanna know WHY the prophet of Islam wants to skip over the cross and pretend it didn't happen? Because he KNEW if the story of the cross is told, that is the atoning sacrifice that makes Jesus the LEGITIMATE High Priest after the order of Melchizedek. The prophet of Islam had ZERO ability to receive offerings and offer a sacrifice to legitimize his claim as high priest, so now he just says salvation is free and there IS NO atoning sacrifice needed. That makes the prophet of Islam false with his teaching about salvation and forgiveness of sins. The high priest was ALWAYS the selected mediator by God to offer a sacrifice on both HIS behalf and on behalf of the people. So, in conclusion? The prophet of Islam had ZERO atonement for HIS sin and he offered ZERO atonement for YOUR sins that was accepted by God. Class dismissed my friend.

So when Abraham (AS) is aware that Ishaq AS is going to live and have a grandson.
This(Ishaq AS being taken for sacrifice) wouldn't make sense.

The Old Covenant was helpful in exposing the sunfulness of mens hearts. The regulations of the New Covenant are actually much more difficult, they are concerened with true holiness of the inner-most being. Only with supernatrual help can people follow the New Covenant.
If you compare the 10 commandments with Jesus' sermon on the mount (Matthew 5) you will see what I mean, that what Jesus taught was actually more difficult, more deeply concerened with the heart.
If you read all of Colossians 2:6-19 you will better understand the relationship of the Old Covenant to the present time. This is one of the letters Paul wrote to the church in Colossae.
Verse 11 and 17 in particularly address circumscicion. The circumsicion of the flesh is now replaced by the circumscion of the heart, done by Jesus. The circumscision of the flesh was only a shadow of what God truely requires for holiness.

Isaac was his only legitimate son. Ishmael was his son with Hagar, which was Sarah's servant. God promised Abraham a son, but Sarah thought it was taking to long for this promise to come true. She persuaded Abraham to lay with Hagar, this is how Ismael came to be. A few years later (12), Sarah gave birth to Isaac...thus fulfilling God's promise. Ishmael is the product of operating outside of God's will or doing things your own way. When God promises something, we can bank on it. It just might not happen according to our timeframe.

How do you know Muhammad didn't change it? The story narrative is the Bible is to show that God will provide the sacrifice for sin. The slave woman represents slavery to sin...the free women's child hold the promise of freedom from sin through Isaac. Islam came after christianity, so any changes to the story of Isaac& Ishmael happened during the writing of the Coran.
Isaac was the " promised son" because he ought to be born from Abraham & Sarah, the promise was not made to Hagar.
Also, the sacrifice of the son Isaac ( the promised one) was a picture or a revelation to what was to happen way way later: God the Father was going to sacrifice His only begotten son Jesus so that whoever believes in Him will not perish but have an Eternal life ( Bible, John 3:16)
I know Muslims believe in Jesus as a prophet but i wish they could believe in Him as their Lord& savior.
A lot of Bible messages in the Old Testament told by various prophets ( trough revelation) were talking about the coming of jesu on earth to save Humanity, to reconcile humanity with God.

Dr. Ally is heavily discounting Abraham's faith in God when he questions the sensibility of sending Hagar away into adversity. Abraham always trusted and obeyed God. He already had God's word beforehand that Ishmael will not die, and would have a blessed destiny.
As for sacrificing Isaac, that was the highest demonstration of his faith. He was not evasive in his answer, he was pristinely prophetic as is seen in how things turned out.
Gen 17:18 KJV And Abraham said unto God, O that Ishmael might live before thee!
Gen 17:20 KJV And as for Ishmael, I have heard thee: Behold, I have blessed him, and will make him fruitful, and will multiply him exceedingly; twelve princes shall he beget, and I will make him a great nation.

  • @SA-Arabia
    @SA-Arabia 2 года назад +6

    *Blessing of Ishmael*
God in the Bible asserts the blessing of Ishmael’s descendants in more than one verse as shown:
Genesis 17:20 And as for Ishmael, I have heard you : behold, *I have blessed him,* and will make him fruitful, and will multiply him exceedingly; twelve princes shall he beget, and I will make him a great nation.
Genesis 17:7 And I will establish my covenant *between me and you and your seed* after you throughout their generations for an everlasting covenant, to be a God unto you and to your seed after you.
Genesis 21:13 And also of the son of the handmaid will I make a nation, *because he is your seed.*
Genesis 21:17 And God heard the voice of the lad. And the angel of God called to Hagar out of heaven, and said unto her, What aileth you , Hagar? Fear not. For God hath heard the voice of the lad where he is. Gen 21:18 Arise, lift up the lad, and hold him in your hand. For I will make him *a great nation.*
*What does a blessing of Ishmael mean?*
As we see here, God in the Bible is talking about Ishmael being blessed, and that he will have a great nation. According to the Bible, a blessing means prophecy among his descendants. For example if we looked at Genesis 27 at the story when Jacob took the blessing from Esau and its result, we would realize prophets were raised from Esau’s descendants, but many prophets were raised from Isaac’s seed. And Prophet Muhammad ﷺ was raised from Ishmael’s descendants who are the brothers of Israel as the Bible tells in Deuteronomy 18:18.
Someone might say that this prophecy was fulfilled in the verse which says that Ishmael shall have 12 sons as in Genesis 25:13-14. Actually if the blessing was just regarding descendants, then actually Esau had two great nations as well, not only the Edomites as mentioned in the Bible, but also the Romans as mentioned in the Talmud, and the greatness of the Roman empire is well known to everybody. So it’s clear here that the blessing is not related to a fruitful nation, otherwise we would have seen Esau blessed as well, but a blessing rather means that a great prophet shall come from Ishmael’s descendants.
*Isn’t the covenant of God established with Isaac only?*
It might be said that the covenant is with Isaac only as the Bible says:
Genesis 17:21 But my covenant will I establish with Isaac, whom Sarah shall bear unto you at this set time in the next year.
Well, this was in the beginning, then it was transferred to Ishmael’s descendants, Jesus said to the Jews that the kingdom of God shall be taken away from them:
Matthew 21:43 therefore say I unto you, The kingdom of God shall be taken away from you, and shall be given to a nation bringing forth the fruits thereof.
Calling Ishmael as a fruitful, that he shall have a great nation is very clear in praising him, otherwise, if God knew that a false prophet came from his descendants where a great nation followed him, why did He describe this nation to be great?
Also the nation Jesus told here doesn’t mean the Christian nation, God said that the sign of the covenant between him and the descendants of Abraham shall be the circumcision, which should be one of the fruits of the kingdom of God:
Geesisn 17:10 This is my covenant, which ye shall keep, between me and you and thy seed after thee: *every male among you shall be circumcised…* 13 He that is born in thy house, and he that is bought with thy money, must needs be circumcised: and my covenant shall be in your flesh for an *everlasting covenant.* 14 And the uncircumcised male who is not circumcised in the flesh of his foreskin, *that soul shall be cut off from his people; he hath broken my covenant.*
So it clearly tells that the sign of this covenant is circumcision, this covenant is everlasting and that the one who don’t circumcise breaks God’s covenant, which Muslims already do while according to Christians , Paul cancelled circumcision. Muslims are the real followers of Abraham. The Bible says:
Genesis 12:3 and I will bless them that bless you, and him that curseth you will I curse: and in you shall all the families of the earth be blessed.
Muslims bless Abraham at least 5 times a day in their prayer. At the end of every prayer, a Muslim must say:
“O Allah! send your Salat (Blessings, Graces, Honors and Mercy) on Muhammad and the family of Muhammad as *You sent Your Salat on Abraham and the family of Abraham.* O Allah! Send Your Blessings on Muhammad and the family of Muhammad as *You sent Your Blessings on Abraham and the family of Abraham.* You are Praiseworthy, Most Gracious.”
So if Muslims bless Abraham, the Bible says that God blesses who bless him, how come the followers of a false prophet be blessed by God?

Where the Quran is ambiguous the Bible is crystal clear.
    1. Who was sacrificed? Isaac, the child through whom God said he would fulfill all of his promises (Ge 21:12), including blessing the whole world through Abraham's Seed (Ge 20:18).
    2. Where was the sacrifice? On Mount Moriah (Ge 22:2), the site of the future Temple of Solomon in Jerusalem (2 Chron 3:1), the only legitimate place of sacrifice for Israel for the next 3000 years (Dt 12:5).
    3. Why? To show that Abraham would not have to offer his son, nor would the children of Israel have to offer their sons (as illustrated by the Passover), but instead God would offer his own Son, who is the Seed of Abraham, the Seed of Isaac, the Passover Lamb, the Son of David, and the Seed of the Woman. It would be through this one great sacrifice that God would bless the entire world (Rom 3:25).

Yahweh told us in 1400 BC, (2000 years before Mohammed was said to be given the Quran) that he would send our Messiah from the Lineage of Abraham and his wife Sarai. Sarai didn't wait on God and arranged for Abraham to wed Hagar and they had Ishmael. Some 14 years later Yahweh made good on his covenant and Sarai gave Isaac his son Isaac who later had Jacob. Hence our God is the God of Abraham, Isaac and Jacob. Yahweh also told us in Genesis 12:2-3 that those of us that believe this will be blessed but those of us that don't believe this will be cursed. Jews and Christians believe and Islam does not believe. Jesus Christ is coming back and will rule as the King of Kings for 1,000 years. There's not going to be any Islam or any other religion at that time. Only your relationship with Jesus Christ. Why not walkaway from Islam and accept Jesus Christ as your Lord and Savior who died on the cross without sin to pay off our sin debts. John 3:16, Romans 10:8. Jesus loves you. What about the other sons of Abraham?
For He had more than two.
Also isn't it that Ishmael was the only son for about 14 years. And Isaac was also the only son in the Household for about 40 years. When Ishmael and His mother Hagar had left.

  • @irvinemurombedzi9628

Ishmael was chased away together with his mother Hagar at the of aged 13 years after he had mocked Issac during the weaning party that was held in honour of Isaac. Isaac was two years old then. The Mt Moria sacrifice took place after Ishmael was already cast away. So the person concerned should have been Isaac (the only covenant child living with Abraham) and not Ishmael hear. This does not demean Ishmael in any way. He was blessed greatly by God.

I am a Christian, but I have long known of the relationship between Isaac and Ishmael and Christianity and Islam. It is not a stretch for me to realize that the God of Abraham is only one "being" since to my knowledge Abraham only worshiped one God. It is sad that the wolves in sheep's clothing that Jesus warned us about have so divided us as people as to think it has to be us or them. I beg to differ, but then, I'm not trying to scare you into sending me your tithes lol! I think of Muslims as my brothers and sister just as I do other Christians. I may disagree on some things, but then, even in Christianity we have dozens if not hundreds of "denominations" that don't agree with each other. I think it's time we sit down and start talking to each other and realize that we have much more in common than we have differences. The Bible teaches us that God made ALL of us. Much respect to this man for approaching this in a fair a balanced way. We need more of that from both "sides" and less propaganda. Bottom line, let's just be kind and respectful to each other. How hard is that?

    The bible tells us...
The lord said to Sarah. Be patient, for I will give you a child. And from that child, shall come forth a great nation, which I " the lord" have promised Abraham in a covernant.
Sarah doubted the lord, because she was too old to bear children. So Sarah said "Abraham, take my young hand maiden Hagaar and preserve thy seed" which Abraham did, and from that... Ishmael is born.
(If we stop and look at it... Sarah and Abraham, disregarded the lords promise to them.... Abraham & sarahs decision to use Haagaar to preserve Abrahams seed was their decision alone.... Not the Lords.
Eventually the lord fulfilled his promise to Sarah and she bore Abrahams true heir Isaac.
    (1) God choose Abraham to be father of all nations, through the blessing of the Abrahamic Covernant.
    (2) God choose Sarah, to bear Abrahams child.
Remember ...Abraham and Sarah were husband & wife. Therefore Isaac is Abrahams legitimate and only heir.
This is reflected when the lord calls for Abraham to sacrifice his only son. Isaac. (legitimate son through marriage).
The Lord did assure Abraham, that Ishmael, too will be a great nation, and Ismael and his seed shall be blessed in abundance in the land the lord prepares for them.

There are three barriers to reach the blessings of Abraham, which are Ishmael barrier, isau barrier and muhammed barrier,as in genesis 15:1-,16:1-,17:1-,18:1-,20:1-,25:1-,27:1-.
It was during the blessings of Abraham through his only seed through Sarah that the devil tried to diverge the blessing through a different way of agreement, the agreement from Sarah to Abraham to Marry Hager while God had made the perfect agreement with him was against the aim of God since he promised him in genesis 12:1-.
The son born through Sarah is the promised seed, while the son born through the he slave woman is not the promised seed as Paul said in Galatians 4:1-30,in the same way as in isau and Jacob, the children were struggling from the womb in genesis 25:1-, in which when they were had grown up,isau sold his right blessings of the first born to Jacob, therefore God gave Jacob the blessing of Abraham through Isaac in genesis 26:1-,27:1-, although isau did not tell his father Isaac the truth that he had sold his birth right to his brother!. Therefore what God said concerning the two became true upto now.
The blessings of Abraham now is the midst of Jacob as in psm 105:1-, isaiah 17:5-10,68:1-16,as Paul said in Roman 11:1-,kind David said in the prophecies is reffering to the living mediator, who is also the living Moses as in Galatian 3:16-, Ezekiel 37:15-,psm 89:20-35,110:1-, and Hebrew 7:24-,9:24.
The reality which took place in the midst of Israel through messiah reveal that the blessings of Abraham include eternal life through resurrections of the deaths and conversions of the living as in Matt 24:29-44, John 14:6,isaiah 26:10-, 28:15-18,25:8,38:19, and 1thesa4:13-.
This message of blessings of Abraham cannot be forced to to suit where it cannot be as in John 8:25-, Roman 2:25-,9:1-.

Ismael was not the " Convent Son " because Abraham's wife didn't conceived the son. God's promise was for Sara and Abraham not Haggar. God knew that he was Abraham's son, so God blessed him. God knew that Ismael had nothing to do with his situation. Ismael and Abraham didn't build the Cabba in Mecca. If Abraham did this, it would be Idolatry and adultery against God. God showed us what he will do his only begotten son ( Jesus ) to deal with the sin problem in the world. This was the reason for God to make such a request from Abraham. The first son always inherited the rights of covenants and blessings ( not in all cases ). Keep in mind Ismael was not the " covenant son so Ismael didn't get the " first son's covenants and blessings. "

    A just noticed as I listened to more of this video that a point this man makes is by saying that It is believed by Islam that Ismaël was the son to be sacrificed by his father Abraham. But if one "reads" the Christian bible (which agrees with the Jewish texts) for Genesis 22 it says; Quote;
"Now it came to pass after these things that God tested Abraham, and said to him, “Abraham!”
And he said, “Here I am.”
2 Then He said, “Take now your son, your only son Isaac, whom you love, and go to the land of Moriah, and offer him there as a burnt offering on one of the mountains of which I shall tell you.”
    End Quote.
Notice that it specifically says "Isaac"; your only son, Isaac"!! Where does Islam get the idea that it was for the other son; Ishmael??

Regarding what you say "in the bible Abraham was evasive" - that is not very critical. It was a supreme test of faith. Up to a point Abraham believed YHWH was going to provide a lamb based on his heretofore understanding of his God:
    Genesis 22:8
8 Abraham answered, “God himself will provide the lamb for the burnt offering, my son.” And the two of them went on together.
He expected a miracle. Read the chapter critically. He was pushed to the limit at which point he resigned to simple obedience, just like King Saul was pushed to the limit and disobeyed (1 Sam 13:8-14). Abraham very fortunately was pushed to the limit of faith and was obedient. Read on and see :
    Genesis 22: 10-12:
10 Then Abraham reached out his hand and took the knife to slaughter his son. 11 But the angel of the Lord called to him from heaven and said, “Abraham, Abraham!” And he said, “Here I am.” 12 He said, “Do not lay your hand on the boy or do anything to him, for now I know that you fear God, seeing you have not withheld your son, your only son, from me.”
It was also a confirmation of the Golden Rule - Abraham's love for God first before his love for his child of promise:
    Mathew 22:36
.... One of them, an expert in the law, tested Him with a question: 36“Teacher, which commandment is the greatest in the Law?” 37Jesus declared, “ ‘Love the Lord your God with all your heart and with all your soul and with all your mind.’…
Abraham was not evasive. He made disclosure to Isaac after his faith had been tested to the point he resigned himself to obedience and that is why YHWH swore by Himself and confirmed HIs blessing on Abraham. This blessing is for us all.
Then again, regarding Isaac and Ishmael, you say it is unusual for a non-first born to be chosen in preference to the first. That is true, however, there are notable instances where exceptions were made in the Hebrew scriptures. YHWH's decisions are ALWAYS EXCEPTIONAL, otherwise why would we need God ?:
    1. YHWH made a promise to Abram and SARAH, not Abram and Hagar. Indeed the promise was made before Abram and Sarah left Chaldea, at which point he likely hadn't even met Hagar because it is more likely than not that Hagar was given to Sarah after his sojourn in Egypt (this is my personal thinking though)
    2. It was Sarai who out of frustration gave Hagar to Abram for a child. It was not pursuant to YHWHs promise.
    3. Therefore it makes sense that YHWH did not recognize Ishmael because his mother was not promised. She received a blessing through ISmael but was not the mother of the child of promise. The child was to come through Sarai's own bosom.
    4. There are numerous other examples of first born males not being recognized as heirs :
4.1 Jacob and Esau. Jacob was chosen.
4.2 Manasseh and Ephraim. Ephraim was blessed above Manasseh.
4.3 Above all, Judah among his 11 brethren (Thou art he whom your brethren will praise. Also, the scepter shall not depart from Judah.... Judah shall rule over his brethren. Dr Ally is very mistaken!
On the issue of Ismael being born in Arabia again that is not true. The facts we have are from early Hebraic scriptures that state that Abram was in Canaan where Ismael was born, not in the area later known as Arabia. There are many myths surrounding the Islamic narrative.
    Lastly, I ask Dr. Ally:
    1. How come, if Ishmael indeed was the promised seed, that Allah did not reveal it directly to Mohammad, since Mohmmad received so many direct revelations since it is one of the principal points of dispute between the Hebrew faith and Islam as to who the child of promise is.
    2. The Dr himself says it is only by majority consensus of later Islamic religious experts that they derive this belief and not from their scriptures and there was actually acceptance by earlier scholars . So, clearly, this was not a revelation of Allah but a revisionist exercise to give more prominence to the new Islamic faith.
    3. If Ishmael was indeed the heir of the promise then how come all the prophets, bar none, were Hebrew? From Moses through to Samuel to John the Baptist. None of them was a descendant of Ismael and none of them were prophets to the descendants of Ishmael. NOT ONE! It surely doesn't make any sense whatsoever that YHWH will choose Ismael as the child of promise and for 1000s of years send prophets to the Hebrews and not to the sons of Ishmael. Again, how come all the ceremonies of worship were given to the descendants of Isaac through Jacob?
In seeking validation from the Hebrew faith, the Islamic faith by affirming "The Book" and at the same time invalidating "The Book" (through it's alleged corruption, yet appropriating the prophets, the Islamic faith does not make any sense.

And the reason why it says it again later in the chapter is because God made it clear before that the covenant would be only with Issac so he’s the only son that issac has that is worthy in the eyes of the lord to take on what the lord wants from his descendants. The Bible was specific to mention that Isaac was the one whom Abraham was going to sacrificed at Mt Moriah.
But in de Qur'an, de name of the son was not mentioned.
It is obvious that Hagar and Ishmael were banished long before the sacrifice besides Isaac was the beloved and the covenant child.

Ishmael was born according to the flesh, whereas Isaac was born according to the promise of God. What he has said about what the Bible says about Abraham is not actually true. Abraham sent out Hagar and Ishmael because he realized he was not patient and did not wait for God to send him and Sarah and Isaac as their son, so he took matters into his own hands when he and Hagar procreated. This is why Hagar and Ishmael were sent out, because they were not part of the promise. Please read Genesis chapters 16-18 in Holy Scripture.

First, your books were distorted by the priests, and they deleted everything that indicates the prophethood of Muhammad, may God bless him and grant him peace, as well as distorting the image of the Prophet Ismail, peace be upon him. As for us, God has informed us that the best lineage from which the best prophet emerged is the lineage of... Ismail, peace be upon him, when God chose from among humanity the Prophet Muhammad, may God bless him and grant him peace, and made him the Seal of the Messengers. Our noble Prophet Muhammad, may God bless him and grant him peace, informed us that he is the son of the two sacrifices, as he was ransomed by his grandfather, the Prophet Ismail, as well as his father. When his grandfather vowed to slaughter him, God ransomed him with camels. This tradition became a Muslim holiday called Eid al-Adha, meaning that God ransomed Ishmael with a great ram. On this blessed day, Muslims slaughter sacrifices in remembrance of the ram. Abraham's ransom with Ishmael's daughter, and this is what indicates the truth As for the books of the Torah, they distorted them and removed everything that indicates the greatness, faith, and prophethood of Ishmael and his grandson, the Prophet Muhammad, may God bless him and grant him peace.

      Genesis 18
A Son Is Promised to Sarah
18 The Lord appeared again to Abraham near the oak grove belonging to Mamre. One day Abraham was sitting at the entrance to his tent during the hottest part of the day. 2 He looked up and noticed three men standing nearby. When he saw them, he ran to meet them and welcomed them, bowing low to the ground.
3 “My lord,” he said, “if it pleases you, stop here for a while. 4 Rest in the shade of this tree while water is brought to wash your feet. 5 And since you’ve honored your servant with this visit, let me prepare some food to refresh you before you continue on your journey.”
“All right,” they said. “Do as you have said.”
6 So Abraham ran back to the tent and said to Sarah, “Hurry! Get three large measures[a] of your best flour, knead it into dough, and bake some bread.” 7 Then Abraham ran out to the herd and chose a tender calf and gave it to his servant, who quickly prepared it. 8 When the food was ready, Abraham took some yogurt and milk and the roasted meat, and he served it to the men. As they ate, Abraham waited on them in the shade of the trees.
9 “Where is Sarah, your wife?” the visitors asked.
“She’s inside the tent,” Abraham replied.
10 Then one of them said, “I will return to you about this time next year, and your wife, Sarah, will have a son!”
Sarah was listening to this conversation from the tent. 11 Abraham and Sarah were both very old by this time, and Sarah was long past the age of having children. 12 So she laughed silently to herself and said, “How could a worn-out woman like me enjoy such pleasure, especially when my master-my husband-is also so old?”
13 Then the Lord said to Abraham, “Why did Sarah laugh? Why did she say, ‘Can an old woman like me have a baby?’ 14 Is anything too hard for the Lord? I will return about this time next year, and Sarah will have a son.”
15 Sarah was afraid, so she denied it, saying, “I didn’t laugh.”
But the Lord said, “No, you did laugh.”
