i built one of these, take my advice. Keep that lanyard attached to your body. It will kick the rear out eventually and eject you as a passenger then idle away faster than you can swim. I learned the hard way lol

This build just gave me an additional idea on "centering" the entire drive in an extended tunnel ... Excellent video for the simple video and the quality wasn't too bad on the boat-build itself. Congratulations and now let that boy open 'er UP !

Nice clean build. Extra credit for involving your boy. One tip, make sure your bow line isn't long enough to get into the pump if it sneaks overboard. It will end your day real quick. Don't ask how I know.

That's probably the coolest thing I've ever seen Jon Boat wise. I have a brand new Allure 10ft Jon boat that's never seen a body of water only rain water before I acquired it! Jet ski motor never crossed my mind!

Hey EA,750 WOW, great boat video watch it on my phone had it vibrating off the table while y'all where driving. Great boat! Just a suggestion Call it "EA's" boat with your logo on the side.
Also, A dipstick for the gas tank, or a sight glass style gauge. A bottle and some metal tubes the diameter of your fuel line also some clamps and probably some panel bonding glue or JB weld to hold the tubes into the cap/lid/plug. Fuel comes in and fills bottle you see the gas as it leaves to the engine.
That cool as hell to see you two looking like twins on the water. Great times

You can put a visible gas sight on the outside of the tank with 2 90s and a clear tube 😉

If the bottom of you intake is still using the stock kawasaki intake grate , try getting hold of an aftermarket deep water intake grate . That might help with the cavitation tour getting when you hit a slight wave , flat bottom boats are bad for that

I have a 1232 alumqcraft topper with a predator 670 as it's power plant. Super fun but yes make sure the lanyard is attached they can get very squirrely

@@TheSWolfeit doesn’t have to be from a jet ski. A jet Jon sucks up water and shoots it out at height speeds. A normal uses a prop

Shallow water running? Make a recess in the transom like the Atkins Rescue Minor. I think there's no boats with that design or homemade jonboats.
So I have a rare fiberglass jetboat project boat that has that same exact kawasaki engine in it aaaaaaand I live right on a muddy ruff shallow in places river so I been wanting to put it in a jonboat. This is way cool

Did you ever wonder why they put restrictions on boats and horse power on the motors you should use on a boat depending on its size. Well I'm going to tell you whether you like it me to or not. If you put too Big of a motor on a boat.( That goes for anything) . It's not safe. And have too much power, and go too fast. Eventually something will happen. You're not going to like. The speed and power can break the boat apart. And you will find yourself in the water. Swimming. Hopefully you have a good life jacket. The worst scenario is , you could be knocked unconscious and thrown over board and drowned. It's up to you. It's your life.
