The first part to this video shows the arrival to Gloucester - the second part shows the instrument approaches. I'm back Instrument Flying after a 4 week break after Christmas I'm back at Aeros Flight training Coventry for me Multi-Engine Instrument Training on the Diamond DA42. In this video we depart Coventry IFR and route to Gloucester for an RNAV and ILS approach RWY 27.

Another great video. Do you have to prebook these RNAV approaches etc, and do you have to pay for them?

The costs are built into the MEIR course with Aeros, and yes you have to book the approaches which can be quite tricky as it’s a busy training environment and sometimes you can’t get what you like!

What did the controller say passing you to Gloucester when leaving controlled airspace at 27:30? Sounded like clear to QSR the frequency? Obviously not but couldn’t make it out.

Ah ok thanks. Ive heard them say that to other traffic when i go flying, never quite got what they said. Seems to take the same time so say “changing to xxx” as it does “qsy”.
